Just spent five nights at Mr C. I usually stay at the Ritz Carlton in Coconut Grove but the group I travel with booked this reservation. I was fearful - the Ritz is hard to beat, but I'm so glad I was introduced to Mr. C. Two phrases sum up my stay - first class service and attention to detail. When I arrived, the bellman took the bags from the car to the front desk without asking "do you need help," and then after my room got assigned (while I sipped my complimentary Bellini) he took my bags and escorted me to my room. Even at the Ritz, they ask if I need help with my bags (I've never understood this, why ask -- why not just help). The room was comfortable and equipped with every imaginable convenience, plus there was an amply stocked mini bar and snack supply (most hotels have done away with these). There were no signs encouraging me to skip housekeeping or decline fresh towels. Instead, the room was made up in the morning with fresh towels and sheets, and then, in the evening, there was not just turn down service, but the whole room was made up again, including fresh towels. Room service was prompt and the food was good, but not the best. I had the minestrone soup, which was tasty, a bit on the thin side - not much more than a broth with a spattering of vegetables. I also had the lasagna which again was tasty but very cheesy - I would have preferred more meat and more sauce. The next night, we had dinner at Bellini - the roof-top restaurant, and it was delicious, and the service was par excellence. I could go on, but suffice it to say, Mr. C is now my favorite hotel in the Coconut Grove area. I'll be back! read more

If you're looking for the best hotel in Miami, stop searching. Mr. C is my favorite hotel in the city and it earns every bit of that title. Before getting into the experience, let me address the two things you'll see in other reviews. 1. Yes, you do need a rental car. But this is a five star hotel and you should be arriving with one anyway. Renting a Mustang convertible through Avis runs around $200, which beats repeated Ubers to the beach and frankly adds to the experience. 2. There is a dress code at dinner. Pants and no flip flops for guys. The staff make this very clear at check in, so there are no surprises. Now for the hotel itself. The service is genuinely exceptional. I left my phone in the car at the valet and within five minutes it was delivered to my room without me ever asking. That kind of attentiveness is rare and sets the tone for the entire stay. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is warm and professional, and the pool is top tier. Speaking of the pool, the drinks are great and the views can't be beat. You also have access to the beach on 14th street and ocean drive which gives you two chairs, an umbrella and towels. Highly recommend taking advantage of this amenity too. Finally, if you have an Amex Platinum, book through FHR. The complimentary breakfast and pool drink credits make an already incredible stay feel like an even better value. read more

We just stayed at this amazing hotel. Loved everything about it. The design is stunning - nautical themed. The colors are serene. They offer beach access - but we did not try it ... this time. read more

I arrived mid day, we were a total of 6. Some of the men had shorts on. We were told we could not enter because we were not dressed accordingly to there dress code. As we looked inside there were several couples dressed in shorts which is not allowed according to true dress code. As we asked we were told the couples were there since earlier in the day. All we wanted was to go in and have a drink and on to the next. We that was frowned upon. We continued to our next spot which I totally recommend called La Bodega" don't waist your time trying to spend money at Mr. C. I gave it a 1 star because there is not an option for less stars for the service. I actually felt disrespected. read more

Staff is friendly and they do include breakfast. However, hotel is very expensive when you consider adding taxi or Uber fares to go to the beach, good restaurants and shopping. There are only mediocre, noisy and very busy bars around the hotel. Everything you might want takes transportation, adding to the expense. I'd not recommend staying there more than a couple of days. read more

The staff is not well trained and lazy. Turn down service didn't happen after requesting it. They said an upgrade, but clearly there was not given. Overall lacks customer care. Sloppy . read more

A very nice hotel in this area with modern amenities. The porters open the car door for you when you get dropped off and can take care of your suitcases for you. It was very nice that the drop off area was fully covered, given that it was pouring when we arrived. The main view is at the restaurant on the top floor, not super visible from even the bay facing rooms. My roommate was offered the complimentary bellini at check-in, but I was told (when I arrived later) that the bar near the front had closed and they couldn't make it for me :( They did offer boxed water, which is also offered at check-out. The room was very nice and spacious, and the bathroom was modern with a double sink, but we could've done with a bit more counter space. Unfortunately, the shower barely drained, so we ended up standing in an inch of water while showering. We didn't have any issues with noise, and it was otherwise a pleasant stay. While we didn't use it, there was a fairly small gym with only a handful of machines. All in all, a very nice hotel stay in Miami. Not a cheap hotel by any means, but very pleasant. There are two restaurants in the hotel - one is the lobby one and the other is one is Bellini which is on the top floor. read more

Put simply, this place is fantastic. I will outline some of the reasons why, but also want to address some of the older, negative reviews that I see posted on their Yelp page. RE: staff, noise and food. Staff -- From the minute I checked in, the staff treat you like royalty. I'm surprised to read that others did not share that experience. Every member I interacted with made a concerted effort to make sure I was accommodated. The front desk, housekeeping, and those manning the pool deck went above and beyond. Noise -- even though my room was facing the bay, I think some of the negative reviews regarding noise hold some degree of merit. At times in the evening, I could hear footsteps above my room, even conversations from adjoining suites. BUT, they were hardly a distraction and very muted. Food -- I'm a foodie at heart so my standard of good food is high (IMO). I was so impressed with the quality of my meals from breakfast to dinner. My omelette was incredible, the pancakes were delicious and my favorite (the BLT), was so well done. Definitely worth every penny. Now, in terms of my stay, this hotel has it all: - Superb customer service - Excellent amenities (did you know you have private beach access on Miami Beach, with chair and umbrella included?!) - Cozy, relaxing rooms The rooftop pool was amazing and such a nice reprieve from the bustle of Coconut Grove -- you feel like you're in the clouds. Grabbing a bite to eat at Bellini was even better. Your view facing the bay is simply gorgeous and a great spot for families or a date night. The nautical theme throughout makes you feel like you're on a yacht or high-end cruise, and everything is tastefully decorated. I have every intention of returning and am telling so many friends. This place is such an awesome getaway. read more

Stayed during April 2025 for a weekend vacation in Miami. Booked through AMEX travel. The hotel concierge contacted us prior to our stay to provide information about checkin and requests prior to our stay. I found that very helpful as this was our first stay in the Coconut Grove neighborhood. We checked in late however the staff was very accommodating - checking us immediately, providing information about amenities and upgrading the room and providing dining credits per our AMEX perks. The hotel is located in a bustling area but the interior of the hotel is quiet and we did not hear street traffic. We stayed in a superior deluxe king room - very nicely furnished and clean. The rooms are a bit small yet cozy. The closet was small and could only fit one suitcase; the housekeeping staff provided a luggage rack while servicing the room one day. The bathroom was clean and shower had great temperature and water pressure. Valet was $48 per night and it was easy to pick up and drop off our rental car every day. The cafe restaurant is a serene garden at the lobby level - the fruit salad, croissant sandwiches and drinks we had were great! Brunch at the hotel restaurant Bellini was great - from the service, food, and ambience. It is light filled with classic decor. The staff remembered by birthday and provided excellent service and a delicious dessert with candle and message. The rooftop pool is small but a perfect size for lounging. On Saturday it was packed and most lounge chairs were full - however staff will try to accommodate you. There are cabanas available for rental. On Sunday and Monday the pool was nearly empty - staff is great with taking drink orders and providing complimentary water as soon as you are seated. We also visited the spa BeAtala which is inside of the hotel in a converted suite - it is a little tight but the service and massage was good. Housekeeping service is phenomenal although they missed us one day but as soon as requested they were at our room within 5 minutes. 24 hours room service never had to wait more than 20 minutes for our order. The TV has an issue during our stay and a technician was quickly sent to our room to correct it. Overall great stay and would visit again! Great walkable neighborhood with shops and restaurants (Cocowalk across the street - try Bodega for tacos and a cool speakeasy inside) The hotel is about 20 minutes from hotel (w/o traffic). $$$ read more

Love, Love, Love Mr C. There are so many details on why Mr C is such a fantastic hotel but simply put, its the people. They put so many details and attention into everything they put. The food was great and the drinks were delish. I love that it's nestled in the heart of Coconut grove and you can walk everywhere. This hotel is beautiful, the rooftop pool, just looks like something out of a movie. Great views! read more

Overall great hotel and staff. Room was great and location is right in the middle of downtown so you can walk around and have fun.

Love coming up Mr. C's for drinks or dinner. With beautiful views of the Coconut Grove skyline and Biscayne bay. We had dinner at Bellinis on the fifth floor where you can take in the view with a cocktail from the bar before you are seated for dinner. We had sea bass and lasagna. The fish was cooked perfect and melted in your mouth and the veggies were just as good. The lasagna is simple but the taste was perfect. A great place to come for Italian fine dining. The service was great as well! There is valet parking that you can validate and pay. There is also parking along the street or across the street, parking garage. read more

Joel is so amazing and caring!! Truly a fantastic experience overall will definitely be returning

Best views , beautiful restaurant ! Great service ! Hands down the best lasagna I have ever had . Fresh pasta , flavorful ragu and béchamel . Just amazing . Also enjoyed the friend calamari trio . Fresh , light and crispy . Delicious gelato! Definitely recommend ! Can't wait to go back ! read more

Arnoldo y Joel were great, I was rushed and they had the car ready in no time all with a smile on their face.

Get ready for a single glass of Sancerre for $38.00. If you're still reading, the bartenders downstairs are excellent and polite. I asked for a Sauvignon Blanc but they had none downstairs. Their white was excellent but I was startled at the unannounced price presented when the check arrived. Make no mistake, this place is nice - but maybe a bit much for a guy and his doggie waiting for his wife to finish her 'stuff'. read more

This was an expensive and subpar stay. The room was hot and didn't cool well. The pillows seemed 10 years old. They promised my daughter a stuffed animal at check in around 3pm. She waited all afternoon and after called 5 times, they told her they didn't have one. We scheduled milk and cookies for turndown service at 7. No one came until I called, and they came an hour later. There are plenty of luxury 5 star hotels in miami and I would avoid this one. read more

Food was great and the valet is super fast and courteous. Anibal was great. Thanks guys

So Charming and Always Delightful - after driving on I95S to get to Coconut Grove one could say with confidence that they earned a cocktail- the drive is treacherous as many of the drivers are not skilled yet try to maneuver like race car drivers. The valet is one of the best in Florida- they know each persons car by memory. The hotel is in an excellent location- it is possible to walk to any restaurant in the Grove from there. The hotel concierge greeted me with a Peach Bellini upon arrival in the lobby then I was taken to a very well appointed room. You should request a room that offers a view of the water so you can enjoy a picturesque scene of the horizon and various boats throughout your stay. A lovely mix of Jonathan Adler products in the shower and a Body Cream that is blended in Italy exclusively for Mr C. You will go to sleep with complimentary chocolates left at your bedside which come from a local chocolatier. There is wonderfully strong and tasty coffee served complementary until 9am in the lobby or for my review of breakfast at their rooftop restaurant Bellini - see my review also - 5 stars. read more

i am a Frecuent costumer and the service is very good, Ítalo and all the people who work here are outstanding. I really recommend

Valet is HORRIBLE! Amazing property. Have stayed with family and have nothing but great experiences but the VALET manager in particular is an A*SHOLE to say the absolute least. From my car door I asked if he spoke English or Spanish (to be respectful) he looked around with his hand out and with a horrible face. I start talking to Mr. Sidney Shiloh and he tries to teach me how to speak to a person as if he was there to teach me how to interact with a person. Very rude and very unprofessional. Shirt untucked and on his phone the entire time. Amazing property but do not speak to the valet manager Mr. Sidney. He makes the hotel go from a 4 star to a 0 star. Horrible. read more

I was close to the Mr. C hotel and decided to stop by to study/work a bit, and am I so glad I did! The lobby has the cutest coffee/bakery/bar spot "Il Giardino"; the service of the hostess/service personnel, Claudia A., was above and beyond amazing! She was the only one on staff the day that I went, and she was running it like if she was hosting guests in her own home. In Miami it can often be a hit or miss when it comes to quality hospitality service, but Claudia had multiple tables both inside and outside, and it started raining, but she did not skip a beat. I ordered the banana and strawberry crepe which was fantastic, 5 stars, and made by Francia. The cappuccino made by Claudia was 5 stars as well! I am just so glad I stopped by Mr. C when I did! My experience was wonderful, and I will be coming by again to enjoy another study/work session all because of the fantastic hospitality and service I received at Il Giardino! read more

Beautiful location but unfortunately the restaurant was not like I was expecting. Food was pretty low, never understood their combinations of flavours. Tasteless Service was attentive but inexperienced (a bit of proactivity would be great). If you ask me if I would come back to Mr C installations (hotel) , I would say yes! Beautiful hotel in the heart of coconut grove. I stayed here for 4 days and they gave us an extra night. The service was really good. Maybe too much as they kept knocking our door to refill the snacks and bar about 2-3 times a day. The rooftop restaurant has awesome views and the food and servís were 5 stars. You have restaurants all around the hotel to go to as well walking distance. Is my first time staying in coconut grove and I must say people are better here than Brickell. Great spot to have a brunch / lunch with a view of the bay! We got here on a Saturday around 2 pm strolling around the neighborhood of a Saturday walk. Last time we were here it was packed but now lucky to get a table. I recommend making a reservation to not be disappointed. Food looked all fantastic but we just wanted a light bite. Pretty pricey to be honest but you pay for the view, location and quality of the food was good. Definitely come back again at some point. No picture of the menu (I forgot) but expect Miami prices. They could of told us the bottle water was $9 each though... We had two appetizers, burrata and fried mozzarella. Friendly waiters and clean environment. If you value your rest, please steer clear of this place!!!! What a disaster! Check in Wed afternoon & all seems fine. A bit cramped in the room, but nice finishings. Fast forward to Wed night, 10pm- the local wanna be night club (Bodega) starts pumping club music that is now resinating through our room. I call the front desk to an arrogant staff & was advised that they couldn't move me because they were fully committed for my entire stay (meanwhile still offering rooms on their travel sites) and the "club" closes at 1am... Finally some peace at just after 1am! I'll sleep in Thurs morning ‍ Nope! 7am, cue the f'ing trash truck with his backup siren in the alley for 20 minutes while servicing all of the businesses that neighbor the property. Friday night after dinner my girlfriend and I wanted a night cap on a rooftop close to home. While online we ran into Mr. C's Hotel and decided to give it a try. When we got there, we were greeted by the front desk and went straight up to the 5th floor. When we walked into the restaurant it was slammed packed with no seats outside or at the bar. We decided to leave but as we were walking out of the hotel, we notice a cute little patio/courtyard that had an inside bar. We agreed to have a drink there. The décor outside was amazing with hanging lights and lots of trees, good music and a huge plus...the sofas were super comfy. Needless to say, it was a very romantic spot. The waiter (he was alone with 4 tables) came over and brought us the menu. She ordered a Dirty Martini and I ordered a Passionfruit Tequila drink (sorry can't remember the name). They took a little long, but not only was he the waiter he was the bartender/hostess/barista and busser, so we felt bad complaining. We were more than halfway through our drinks and he still hadn't come by to ask how our drinks were, which they were okay nothing crazy. When he finally came by, we each had a sip left and we asked him for the bill, which also took a little long to get. Overall, the place and decor are beautiful, but for the price of the drinks ($40 for 2 with out tip), we did expect a little more customer service. We did understand he was alone but maybe they need 1 bartender/barista and then 1 server to make the flow and service better. Not too sure we would be going back for a quick drink but definitely want to try the restaurant upstairs (Bellini). Alex n Jess @bites_through_miami read more

Mr C has some awesome rates compared to other properties in the area such as the Ritz Carlton. The downside to these rates? The rooms are tiny. Even the suite we booked was tiny and it was hard to fit a crib in the living room area. The service was okay. It's a small hotel so that comes with the territory. Housekeeping was incredible, however. I recommend Mr C. It's in a great location, and even though there is no beach (there's a beach club about 30 min away though), the value you get here is great - especially if you don't plan on spending a lot of time in the room. read more
