We were able to hop on & off throughout the experiencing the Miami Area. Each driver was polite, friendly & awesome at moving people around the area. I don't like internet trolls, but who does? They're just so.... trolley. I spotted this cute little trolley on my Miamitravels, and it slides through some really nice neighbourhoods Miami, and by nice I mean cultural and tasty and exciting rather than the usual bland tourist spots and rich hoods - and I was surprised about that. It seems like quite a hipster thing to have, but it services some genuinely mass-transit-necessary areas and I appreciate that about it - plus it's really pretty and every city should really have a trolley should it not? read more

I find the drivers excellent. I utilize mass transit in Miami almost daily. I often pick up the trolley at MLK transit Village. This location is awful, yet convenient. Gaurds are the problem. Homeless allowed to sleep in way day and night. Homeless men bother common women taking busses . Gaurds are often sitting around or chatting with the homeless. The place is filthy each morning. I feel bad for lady each day who cleans up. The apartment complex in building has obnoxious staff and residents who speed all day. Sometimes Miami Police are present....they try. I am bothered each day by foreign and homeless men. Gaurds are a waste of ten dollars an hour. read more

We are from Chicago visiting Miami. This is a review of trolly driver. My daughter and I picked up trolley from 40th street and Indian Creek drive going to South beach Park on 12/11/23 at 3:30 pm. There was misunderstanding as to where trolley was going. But when we recognized that we were in a wrong trolley that was going to Miami. Driver (sorry, we did not get his name) took us to a place where we could transfer to "bus B" but on the other side of road uHe helped us crossing five lane road. I thought I would give the Trolley service a more updated review since I see that most reviews and comments are old. As of 2019, Miami introduced the new Trolley app which can be downloaded to any device. This has been a game-changer since the app allows you to set your commonly used locations and lets you know in real-time how far the next trolley is from your station. There's no more waiting in the heat or rain. All you have to do is download the app and it will tell you the next 3-4 times that the trolleys will be in your specific area. I find it amazing to see so many negative reviews about the slow service or the rotation. People seem to forget the service is free. Not only that but if cars get stuck and delayed in traffic, what makes one think that a Trolley can jump through the traffic to be on time. Let's be a little bit realistic. City of Miami seems to be working on adjusting and adding additional routes to the system and encourages people to participate in the process. I also encourage everyone to look at things in a more appreciative and realistic way. There are other paid services like uber/lyft that can pick you up and drop you off at your desired time, which you should use if you find that the trolley service doesn't meet your needs. read more

Some others have reviews the trolley on the Metromover Yelp page, but the trolley and the train are two different services and merit separate reviews. The trolley basically runs up and down Biscayne from the Midtown Mall (Target!) in the north to Vizcaya/Mercy Hospital in the south. It's supposed to run at fifteen-minute intervals, and there are stops about every two blocks along the route. When the service is running well, the trolley is my preferred mode of public transport in the greater downtown area. But, unlike the Metromover, the stops are not shaded, and (usually) not as regular (the Metromover is supposed to come every five minutes; fat chance!). So waiting in the sun can be scorching--and SWEATY if you think you're running late. The trolleys are clean (and COOL!), and the drivers are courteous if not outright helpful and kind. When the service first stated, the cars were empty, but now that it's catching on, they're filling up. That's a good thing in my book--and I hope that means they'll start running more cars soon. A trip from the Omni to the River is about 10 to 15 minutes, once the trolley arrives. This is one thing the city is definitely doing RIGHT! read more

This review is for the Little Havana line of the Miami Trolley. First of all, I do have to note that the *idea* of a free trolley that trucks down Calle Ocho to the Brickell area, where one can easily connect with Metromover and Metrorail, is a great one. 20 stars to the idea of the Little Havana Trolley - free public transportation funded by our tax dollars? Wow, sign me up - this sounds like something I would expect in a country far more progressive than the United States. It's an amazing idea. Recently, I decided to take the trolley downtown on a Saturday. Got on at Calle Ocho, just past the Ball & Chain/Azucar area. I waited a little over a half-hour for a trolley to appear....already a strike against its usefulness. I could have just kept walking to Brickell Station in that time. Anyway, I got off at Brickell and made an easy connection to Metromover. I had coffee downtown, then picked up a couple items at Whole Foods and had lunch. Time to go back. Here is where the trek really starts. Got back on Metromover and made it back to Brickell with ease. When I got there, I noticed a little Havana trolley loading passengers, so I ran and caught it. I'm thinking score, right? No, no, this is where the journey gets excruciatingly painful. For some reason, I thought this trolley essentially circulated down 8th and up 7th continuously. It does NOT. You catch it on 8th Street going toward downtown, but to get *back* to 8th, you have to wait for it to trace the River, then hit FLAGLER all the way out west, to the dog track past 37th! Then it heads south to 8th street, turns left, and gets caught in the perpetual 8th and 27th Avenue gridlock! Not good. No bueno. Not good at all. As we all know, Flagler is all torn up and is a nightmare to travel at any time of day, much less a Saturday afternoon. And after that, having to wait at 27th Ave just to get back to Calle Ocho is insane. It takes so excruciatingly long. This route needs to be re-routed. It is awful. Can you use it? Well, sure, as long as you're in no hurry to get, well, anywhere. Re-route this and it is 5 stars. Keep this route and it's approaching the calculus limit of total uselessness. I was, quite literally, out from 10:30AM to 3PM, and all I did was make 2 quick stops at a coffee shop and a supermarket. That's 4 and a half hours! This is, essentially, the city of Miami marching a great idea out back behind the woodshed, blindfolding it, giving it a cigarette and a slug of whiskey, executing it via firing squad, and kicking its corpse into a shallow ditch. read more

Drivers are unreliable, late, and have no consideration over your safety. The Coral Way Route: If you pick up this route around 12 - 1pm, chances are the driver will stop near the Miami Dade Cultural Center and wait for the shift change, which is routinely 15 - 30 mins late. It happened yesterday on Trolley no.2019. The driver also won't do anything to call and find out where his shift change is. Saftey: If you stand up to approach your destination, the driver will either brake unexpectedly, or won't fully stop to let you off. I've almost fallen off the trolley twice. They are probably trying to make up time from being late to their shifts. Unreliable: The City of Miami has a trolley tracker app....THAT DOESN'T EVEN WORK! Countless times I've stood at the stop where it says, "Arriving in 3 minutes" and there is no trolley to be seen. I once had it say Trolley arriving, and the Trolley was 25 mins late! The service is free so that's why it gets 1 star. But like everything, you get what you pay for. Miami is worthless when it comes to public transportation. read more

Pros: Free, Clean Cons: Unreliable (where are the electronic timetables to see when the next trolley is coming????), no shade at stations, poor and not up to date website, uncomfortable seats, etc. Bottom line is this system is UNRELIABLE. If you want to know the feeling of riding in a bus in a third world country this is the way to go!! Drivers jerk the breaks left and right. They don't wait till you sit down and worst of all is if you happen to catch it during rush hour your in trouble cuz they pack it dangerously to the hilt and let in all the local street people they can pick up!!! For my situation, the trolley was great. I was in town for business staying at Mandarin Oriental in Brickell. I had Saturday afternoon to myself to do a little exploring and I decided to go to Viscaya Museum & Gardens. A co-worker told me I should take the trolley, if not only to ride around and sightsee a bit. After all, it's free! So I walk out of my hotel and head towards the trolley stop, which is only a few feet away. Lucky for me the trolley was there at that exact moment. So I hurry to hop on and I see there's no one else riding. About 10-15 minutes later, I get dropped off directly in front of Viscaya and I ask the driver where the pick-up will be and she points to the stop that's directly across the street. When I was ready to return to my hotel, I guess I got the stop wrong because that same driver drove right past me! Once I went up the road a bit further to the correct stop, I waited there probably around 15 minutes before the next trolley came. It was free, air-conditioned, not packed and relatively fast. What more could you ask for? I'll definitely be using the trolley to get around on my future trips! read more

City of Miami Trolley. It's Free. It's not so fast, but guess what?? It's free! Now that the system has expanded, it stops just about two blocks form my house. The Biscayne route took me about an hour and 10 minutes to get to my house off the Design District (end of the line North-wise) stop from my place of business downtown (almost t the southernmost end). A bit long I thought, but hen I realized, hey - it's Biscayne Blvd - in rush hour - okay, well it's free. So free. I was able to just pop over via the Metromover, fumble to put my bike on the trolley rack, sit down and be delivered practically, to my house. Completely free. Thanks to City of Miami for hooking up the transpo. As for the shade covers, and more frequent routes. See aforementioned "it's free" comments, then check out City of Miami's budget. It's pretty sweet they aren't charging. They could use the money. read more

It's a free service, so what's to complain about, right? I think it's awesome that you can get from Brickell to downtown and farther at no cost whatsoever. And what's not to love about the vintage look of the trolleys? The drivers are friendly and it's polite to thank them as you exit the bus. That being said, there have been numerous times on weekends when I've waited 40 minutes and finally jumped in a cab because no trolley was in sight. I'd rather pay a fare for reliable service. read more

No accurate rotation. Trolley tractors are not detected on the app. Poor reliable transportation. There should not be this big of a gap when they are suppose to be in 15min rotation, which is stated on the website. Horrible!!!! read more

Went to visit Miami Design District and decided to head over to Midtown and Wynwood to look at the murals. Thought that using the trolley to go the 1 1/2 mile trip would be fun and easy - unfortunately, after waiting over 30 minutes at 4 different stops (different times) we never had a trolley arrive. The app did did not help as trolley's on the app never materialized. We did get one trolley to stop, but it was apparently the wrong one (we wanted Wynwood and Biscayne came) - driver was very rude. Sad that we don't have a better service in a Tourist Destination like Miami. read more

Thank God for Uber this trolley sucks. I have tried to use the trolley multiple times and each time I end up calling an Uber either one way or both ways. They are unreliable and most recently I had a driver insist that he was not driving the route displayed on the trolley because the screen was broken. In the mean time we waited while 3 other trolleys passed with no sign of our trolley. The best answer we could get was "there's a delay". Luckily our Uber arrived quickly and our driver was very polite with an immaculately clean car. Trolley 1/5 stars because yelp won't let me give it 0. Uber 5/5 stars! read more

If you need to be anywhere on time and want to take this trolley then I would budget at least 1 hour of wait time just in case (they are supposed to be coming every 15 minutes), additionally, if you do not have the balance of an Olympic gymnast then I would suggest not standing since the drivers weave in and out of traffic as if they were driving a Miata with no passengers. read more

I have been using the biscayne line, and its fine. But In morning from Artsh center station to art district is very bad the frequecy, its like 30 minutes wait. Bright side is free, if you are in a hurry take the bus. You can download the miami trolley app in your phone to track the arrival time of the nearest stop. The aproximation its like +- 2 minutes. read more

This was a pretty good deal for getting around Miami for free. The only issue I had was that it really wasn't clear where the stops were on the website maps so you had to keep an eye out for the sign boards. It also wasn't clear where multiple lines stopped at the same stop. According to the map, the Coral Way one should have had several stops with the Biscayne by the Bayfront Park area but I couldn't find a sign that had Coral Way on it. So I never did get on that line but the Biscayne and Brickell took me where I needed to go. read more

One word: unreliable. I wanted to like the Miami trolley. It's a great idea: it's free, it's clean, and it connects parts of Miami that are not connected by the Metromover, but its unreliability makes it a poor choice for commuting to and from work or to appointments. Recently I gave the trolley a second chance by attempting to get to Brickell from Bayfront park. After waiting 20 minutes at the trolley stop with other individuals, the trolley flew right past the stop (and it was not full). To add insult to injury, a second trolley did the same thing! Third time was the charm. I got on the trolley and off we went, only to make a pit stop at the Brickell Metro station so the driver could take a cigarette break and chat with his buddies. In total it took an hour and fifteen minutes to get home while it only takes 20 minutes to walk. My advice: don't waste your time with the trolley. You are better off walking. read more

The disrespect of the trolley drivers is unreal. They have no concern about the safety or the time of the passengers. I had a doctors appointment (that took me over a month to obtain) that is directly on the stadium trolley route. I missed because the trolley was 30mins late. The female driver with a long nappy wig was unapologetic and disrespectful once she realized I was on the phone with the complaints department. ( which I had called ten minutes before she arrived) As I continue to make my complaint giving the trolley number to operator. The driver continue to give me dirty looks in the mirror. Once I ended my call with operator and got my reference number for my complaint the driver Then yelled does anybody wanna get off of the bus? If you don't like it there was a lot of traffic in the office knows that so I don't care if you make a complaint. There was also another driver that was standing in the passage where there were several other people with me on the bus they have been waiting for now going on in our because this driver decided to make us wait while the transport the drops the drivers off to Each destinations during shift change. So there was a child on board that spilled a juice drink so the driver decided to make us wait an extra 40 minutes while she called to say that there was urine on the bus and that the the trolley had to be transferred out at which time I proceeded to make another call to the dispatch to find out when this trolley will be moving and let them know the situation as to what was going on with the now three drivers that were on the bus and the bus was not moving we had to wait an additional 20 minutes for another trolley to arrive at which point the drivers from the trolley that we were waiting on went to the new trolley driver and told him that we were troublemakers and be careful all we wanna do was make my appointment on time at which time one of the drivers proceeded to put her hands on my child and push him onto the bus. Now I'm not sure how things are done here in Miami but any place else in the world this would cost for a physical assault a lawsuit or any number of situations but all I have is to reference numbers to my complaints as to why this trolley was taking so long I really don't anticipate any feedback or help from Miami Dale transit seeing is they do not care about the safety of their passenger nor our time they have to do better with the hiring process it's OK to give people a job but if people are not passionate about their job or sensitive to customer service then hiring people just drive a bus is not good customer service is unprofessional is disrespectful free service or not read more
