The patties were too heavily salted for my tastes. The crispy chicken sandwich was a huge disappointment - way over cooked and chewy instead of crispy. Only dipping it in sauce made it edible. Smoothest and most delicious pickup in navy yard. The food is always done in a flash, the service is friendly and the burgers and fries are super delicious. My husband usually gets the swizz stack burger and I get one of the veggie options, both of which are scrumptious. The current seasonal veggie burger is beet based and holds together really well and is savory and filling. The fries are also great, and they have Mexican bottled coke which is always a nice treat. Hopefully they'll add shakes or something sweet soon! Only criticism is that they close at 9, I wish it was a little later. read more

My friends had been raving about Swizzler so I was definitely excited to try it, and it didn't disappoint! The woman who helped us, Anisha, was so upbeat and friendly. I was going to get the regular veggie burger but upon her recommendation I got the beet burger instead, which comes with goat cheese, candied jalapeños, shallots, and their "viva" sauce. I also added pickles onto it. My friends had told me I must try the parmesan truffle fries so I got those as well. The burger was very very good, and very filling, but I do think the pickles were necessary to give an otherwise very soft/mushy beet burger some crunch. I used a lot of their secret sauce, which is like a spicy mayo, on it for some added flavor. The parm truffle fries were good but they didn't wow me and were kind of soggy - I would pass on these next time. Will definitely be back for another burger at some point. read more

Saw the special hot dogs and decided to stop by before leaving D.C. I was so glad we stopped by. I was very satisfied with their hot dogs and fries. We got to try their Feast Mode for $7, which can have a quite spicy kick, but so good, and we also got to try Burnie Mac for $7 which is topped with mac and cheese. Fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned, and hot dogs were must try. If you ever want hot dogs around this area, you should try this place!! With that stated, it was a fine burger with the typical take on "secret sauce" you get these days. Best Burger and Chicken Sandwich in the DMV. Period. Im sorry to say after a long and hot baseball game and being pregnant, I wasnt able to snap a picture because the food was inhaled too quickly. But make no mistake, this food is stellar. We got the classic cheeseburger, bacon jalapeño burger and crispy chicken sandwich along with an order of the spuds. I dont live very close but this darn place has me considering Nationals season tickets so I have an excuse to come here more - yes its that good. Swizzler has ruined us for any other burger. Home made or restaurant bought doesn't matter - nothing compares to their combination of sauce(s), toppings, and bun that is pure magic. It's probably a good thing for my waistline that we moved out of the city but we still grab to-go whenever we're near the ballpark. The fries as well... they were spot on, second best for me cuz the fries at brophys tavern in Carmel, CA are the best. These do hit the spot for local fries! I do not know what you do to your burgers but amazing! A friend got the burger after we did and he tried to put ketchup on it and I was like dude, hold up... do NOT put ketchup until you taste it. He looked at me like I was nuts but he complied and once he tasted it, he didn't even think twice about adding ketchup afterwards. Have a small menu and make sure you do it perfectly. Wow, just wow. I absolutely loved my bacon cheddar jalapeño burger. It was the perfect balance of spicy with the bacon and cheddar. Their Parmesan truffle fries were also amazing! I tried them with the viva and swizzler sauces, which were both good. I definitely enjoyed both sauces, but think that I definitely fell in love with the swizzler sauce. The plant-based burgers and fries are so delicious! I was pleasantly surprised that they could make a patty taste so great by simply using fresh vegetables, like beets. They know how to round out the flavor profile of the burger by adding the right toppings. Also, the fries are some of the best in town, and the soda is always fresh and flavorful. Last but not least, employees are very friendly and helpful... good customer service is difficult to find these days, especially in Navy Yard and that adds significantly to the overall experience. OMG. I pretty much INHALED my burger because it was so good! The restaurant follows Covid courtesies with no indoor dining. Super clean and the staff was AMAZING! The woman who took our order was so helpful and wonderful. We both ordered the Classic Double + Bacon and fries. OMG! This is the best burger I have ever tasted in my life!! I grew up not liking beets until I tried this Beet Burger. Every time I went to go take a bite, my face would cringe thinking about the past when my grandparents use to force me to eat their pickled beets. However, I was presently surprised when I finally bit into this Beet Burger. My palate kept craving more and more. I loved it. It touched thy soul. Whodathunk? This was a very good balanced healthy meal. I will definitely come back to Swizzler in the summer and enjoy the good food again.
