I just tried this place for the first time today. They were at the Lawrence Welk farmer's market, and even though I'd already had a dinner planned at home, I couldn't help but succumb to the calling of the smell of their food on the grill. They were so friendly and threw in an extra sauce free of charge. Their sausage, chicken, and pork ribs were excellent. They managed to be tender but also crispy - kind of reminiscent of Filipino lechon in a way. All the meat was so flavorful and moist. We walked past the Swiss grill truck and I knew it was the spot for dinner. First of all, the servings are HUGE. So if you're worried about leaving hungry, that isn't going to be an issue. The food is so amazing. My favorite were the ribs. They were charred perfectly with incredible flavor. The chicken was also great. The potatoes didn't have quite the flavor I was hoping for, but when mixed together with the meats and broccoli, it was just right. I'd certainly come back if I were in the area! read more

Found at the Welk Farmers' Market ( Every Monday 3-7 PM). One of the busiest food options at this farmers' market is Rollswisserie. Their rotating spits of chicken and ribs along with their Paella pans of famous potatoes and veggies bring in the hungry crowds. The line moves fast tho and it's always prepared hot and fresh. I ordered the rib combination which was a huge plate, well enough for two people. Very tasty and flavorful. Their potatoes are amazing. Literally the best ribs I've ever had. I think it's safe to say I can say the same about the rotisserie chicken. This isn't even to talk about the potatoes and vegetables which are so good I've literally seen people ordering just these two items. The couple that runs the truck at the Vista Farmer's market are very nice, very skilled, efficient, and hard-working people. If you're a BBQ aficionado it's actually a pleasure to watch their flow. Their lunch meals are really enough for lunch and dinner, and that's often what I do on a Saturday after I visit the farmers market to get my fresh bounty of veggies for the week. I would be lying if I didn't say I am slightly more enthusiastic about the rotisserie than I am about the veggies lol. If I ever have an event that needs catering these guys will be my go to. I've eaten my fair share of chicken. I love chicken. I love rotisserie chicken. And I think I have found some of the best chicken i have consumed in a long time. As I walked by the open rotisserie, I knew that I could not deny the call of the sizzling chicken. I ordered a platter- came with chicken, cole slaw and potatoes. Cole Slaw- Crispy cabbage, nice spicy tang to it. Potatoes- THESE WERE ADDICTIVE. I try not to eat too many carbs anymore, but oh God. this was so good- rosemary, and THE DRIPPINGS OF THE CHICKEN go directly on the potatoes underneath the chicken... so they are a little overcooked, but so flavorful that I don't care. CHICKEN- OH GOD. this was ridiculously good. the skin was VERY well seasoned, and CRISPY. The meat was tender and juicy- both the white meat and the dark meat. SO GOOD. I tell you, come anywhere near this sort of food truck, and you'll be in heaven. The first thing I smelled it rosemary, then the chicken. He has loads of chicken and ribs rotating on the side of the truck, the drippings falling onto a pile of perfectly diced potatoes, then he transfers them to this enormous paella dish over a fire with rosemary until they are perfectly browned. Unfortunately, we had already grabbed a crepe before seeing this new truck of love. But we couldn't help but compliment him on the smell and look of his food. We were at the Encinitas Street Fair and we were looking for something healthy to eat. We happened upon Rollswisserie and noticed the chicken is "free range" and healthy (no salt or brine is used) so we gave it a try. We ordered the half chicken platter with broccoli and potatoes. The other option was coleslaw instead of broccoli. The cost was $12 which was totally reasonable especially given how delicious the food tasted. I split the meal with my friend and there was plenty for both of us. The chicken was so tender and was probably the best chicken I've had in a long time. The seasonings they use on the outside were fantastic. The potatoes were good. They were seasoned with the chicken drippings which made them softer, but I think they would have been better if they were crunchy. I prefer crispy potatoes. They tasted good though. The broccoli was a bit overcooked from the rotisserie, but the flavor was still good. All in all, a great experience. I would absolutely seek them out to have their chicken again. read more

My daughter, my and myself were traveling to the Palm Springs Street Fair last night. As we were approaching, my daughter saw the company truck parked and she was EXCITED. She told us about the amazing food they had and that the first place we needed to visit was this place. She mentioned the chicken and ribs were really good, but couldn't stop talking about the potatoes. She was correct. Although the meats were really good, don't get me wrong, I think the potatoes with the mixed vegetables were AMAZING. Even my grandson was all about the baby carrots. They even had some cornbread that was not dry, at all. Very delicious all around. Will definitely have to go back the next time we get up that way to the street fair. In case you don't know, the Palm Springs Street Fair is Thursday nights. If you happen to find your way there, I highly recommend you try this food truck.
