I found Spinning Meats on Yelp and have had very good experiences with businesses that I've found here and again have had an AMAZING experience with Nick and his crew with Spinning Meats! We had a Greek toga themed NYE party so of course we needed Greek Food! Que Nick and team, he was on time, quickly set up and listened to how I wanted service and dessert served. He was SO EASY to work with, so super nice and his team was just as professional and easy going! First, Nick specially made a Greek "cake" for NYE which is served especially for this holiday. He had never made it for catering, BUT when I asked him to do it for us, he did not even bat an eyelash and said yes! It was absolutely wonderful and had a flavored butter to go with it, AND a coin for good luck! The Gyros (we had choice of Bee/Lamb, Chicken and Falafel), Spanakopita/Hummus and SIDES, were AUTHENTICALLY SEASONED, DELICIOUS, WARM and YUMMY! My husband and I had dining plans fall through and we randomly ended up at Pure Project in Vista. We were hesitant when we saw the name of the guest food truck because we're vegetarians, but I am SO SO glad we took a chance and ordered something! Their falafel was INCREDIBLE. It's so rare to find falafel that isn't dry and flavorless. We had their falafel wrap, falafel sliders, and snack plate, and everything was soooo delicious. Their hummus and pita were so tasty and their dolmas were to die for. I didn't try their fries but I was really impressed that they offer vegetarian fries in addition to their tallow fries. You'll often find these guys at local breweries. This is very good food. Even the presentation is well thought out and nice. We tried the Greek "nachos" and the snack plate (I think). Portions are not a problem. They are generous with the food. The nachos come with soft pita triangles instead of chips and they're covered with delicious gyros, feta, olives, tomatoes, etc. Home run dish. The snack plate comes with crispy pita chips, hummus, dolmas (stuffed grape leaves), and more and this is another great plate. It's loaded with flavor. Employees couldn't have been nicer. Excellent greek food. The gyros, salads, stuffed grape leaves (domades), falafel...all high quality. Nick and Kari are awesome at what they do, and they always spend the time to get to know you and personally deliver your dishes (we typically have them at Belching Beaver's Oceanside tap room). When we see them on the food truck list for Belching, we typically make it a point to stop in. Pro-tip: if you get the greek salad, add both the gyro meat and falafel.
