Although the event wasn't as big as the previous food truck events, I spoke with some of our neighbors and they loved the food. We tried some too. I got their drippin Mac, dripping birria sandwich and a jalapeño chipotle chicken sandwich. The jalapeño chipotle chicken sandwich was so good! Highly recommend!! The Mac and cheese had good flavors. Good for the little one. Birria was good, a bit greasy but good flavors. The food is definitely cheat day food!!! Lol. We also drank a strawberry lemonade which was refreshing. Our protein choices for our Tacos or Quesatacos were Birra, Carne Asada or Pollo. Rice and Pinto Beans were provided as sides. I chose one each birria and carne asada quesatacos with a side of beans. I topped the tacos with grilled onions, cilantro and a squeeze of lime. I also added a grilled serrano pepper. The carne asada was juicy and flavorful. The corn tortilla was piled high with the carne. The tortilla was great quality and delicious. The birria was not served with a side of consommé for dipping, and honestly, it didn't need it. The shredded meat was so juicy. The cheese pull from the queso was exquisite. Can a cheese pull be exquisite? Yes. Yes, it can. The beans were very good. I love spicy food. I love the heat. Three times now we have tried to go to them for dinner in our area when they've posted times on social media, but they often leave early without posting that they'll shorten their hours for the day. When we asked about this tonight after missing them again, we got a simple reply about a slow evening without giving us any incentive to come back and try them again. Their portions seem a bit smaller than other competing food trucks that stop in the same area, and the prices are a bit higher. We wouldn't mind giving them another shot, but not in the near future.
