Our protein choices for our Tacos or Quesatacos were Birra, Carne Asada or Pollo. Rice and Pinto Beans were provided as sides. I chose one each birria and carne asada quesatacos with a side of beans. I topped the tacos with grilled onions, cilantro and a squeeze of lime. I also added a grilled serrano pepper. The carne asada was juicy and flavorful. The corn tortilla was piled high with the carne. The tortilla was great quality and delicious. The birria was not served with a side of consommé for dipping, and honestly, it didn't need it. The shredded meat was so juicy. The cheese pull from the queso was exquisite. Can a cheese pull be exquisite? Yes. Yes, it can. The beans were very good. I love spicy food. I love the heat. I went for the street tacos because, hey, it's taco Tuesday, and I didn't need to bother the brewery to get to the truck. The owner was there and again was super nice. After I ordered a few of every type of taco, he recommended his surf 'n turf burrito, so I got one and eagerly escorted it home with my tacos. My expectations were pretty average since there's a lot of Mexican food out there and competing qualities. The burrito was absolutely, unequivocally wonderful! The flavors melded together seamlessly without any one overpowering another. The shrimp was cooked to perfection, still flavorful and juicy. This will become my go to burrito in the future! For tacos, I'd recommend the adobada and carne asada fillings as the most flavorful. Give this food truck a try and support a local business. Three times now we have tried to go to them for dinner in our area when they've posted times on social media, but they often leave early without posting that they'll shorten their hours for the day. When we asked about this tonight after missing them again, we got a simple reply about a slow evening without giving us any incentive to come back and try them again. Their portions seem a bit smaller than other competing food trucks that stop in the same area, and the prices are a bit higher. We wouldn't mind giving them another shot, but not in the near future.
