Wanted to share my experience with Swift Lift Movers. We worked with this company 2 times, once when we ordered furniture, they delivered and assembled everything in under 2 hours (full furniture for 1 bedroom apartment). And the second time when we moved to a new place. That experience I'll describe more in details. First thing first - they are very friendly and very easy to get a quote or schedule the date. We called them to get a rough quote for our apartment. Next day we got numbers, so we could start planning our move. At the day of the move, they arrived 30 minutes late, but they called in advance and apologize for the delay (because of heavy traffic). Alberto arrived with another guy, so it was only 2 of them (impressive, cause some of our furniture is quite heavy, they handle that together very well). They also brought packing tape so our soft furniture wasn't damaged or dirtied in the process. It took them less than 2 hours to move all our furniture and 10-12 boxes to their van. They were very quick, but gentle - nothing was broken or damaged during the move. One hour later we met in our new apartment and again it took them less than 2 hours to assemble furniture back. They also were patient when we asked them to move stuff a bit around so we can have our ideal setup :) They respected their estimate for the move (5 hours), and also charged us the same price as we were talking before. I am very happy with their amazing service. I purchased furniture for an entire apartment and used their service twice. I couldn't find anyone to deliver the same day, but when I called Alberto, he agreed to at a great price. It was was late when I called, so I understood that I would have to get half of my furniture on another day. They move fast when they set up and made sure my furniture was secure and I was happy. The gal who scheduled is so nice and accommodating. We had to reschedule quite a few times due to some renovation set backs and they were so accommodating and so lovely to chat with. We used Swift Lift Movers on two occasions because they were so great the first time around!! We used them first for furniture delivery from the Pottery Barn Outlet and again for a short distance move from San Francisco to the East Bay. At the Pottery Barn Outlet, we met Alberto who gave us a quote, determined by the time it takes from unloading to setting down the pieces in the specified room(s). We didn't have access to our delivery location until later in the week but he was very accommodating and said he could store our items for no extra charge. We also did not have a specific delivery date since we weren't sure of our availability. They were still very accommodating and said we can let him know what day is best via text. Come delivery date, Alberto and Fernando arrived on time and brought a crib and a heavy recliner up two flights of stairs. The recliner almost did not fit the doorway but they were determined to make it fit! And they did with no scratches on the walls! Definitely not something I could have done myself. Since they were so great to work with, we decided to book them for our short distance move from our one bedroom apartment in SF to the East Bay. There was insane bridge traffic on the day we of our move, but Fernando kept us updated on their arrival time. Once they arrived, they moved our furniture 'swiftly' and efficiently! No dents in the walls and no broken items. We were concerned about our brand new carpet but they brought plastic to protect our floors during the move. Fernando and his brother recently helped me pack up my moving truck for an out of town move. They showed up on time and were amazing at packing the truck super efficient after I told them that it was going to be a tight fit in the 16' moving truck. They took their time to fill every little space in the truck and when we were done, the door to the truck closed with everything inside. In addition to be very professional and helpful, they did it fast, packing everything within 4 hours, including some re-shuffling of furniture to get it to all fit. We got off to a rocky start but everything turned out fine. Fernando kept in contact from the beginning with text messages (my preferred method of communicating). He let us know that they'd be late. I made the mistake of not giving a thorough list of all of the items we needed to move from our one bedroom apartment to our new house. Understandably, we had to talk things out and negotiate but the job got done with kindness and professionalism. They worked well beyond the three hour estimate but honored their original quote. Swift Lift Movers came highly recommended by a friend who is hard to impress, but he couldn't say enough good things about Alberto and his brother (I think Fernando is his name) and how hard they worked. My hubby and I were moving from Pacifica to San Francisco. I called over the Thanksgiving holiday and even though Simone and her family were on holiday, they picked up the call, we exchanged details of what I wanted to move and to the new location. I was given a price quote that was quite reasonable. After discussing prices, we arranged a tentative move date date which she confirmed two days prior via the phone. Simone was very cheerful and pleasant to deal with. Moving day came, Alberto and his brother Fernando showed up a teeny bit late but it couldn't be avoided (nail in a tire, who hasn't had that happen??) but he kept in contact to let us know what was happening the whole way through. Alberto and Fernando did an excellent job, they were very polite and professional, they wrapped our cedar chest, armoire, dresser, hutch to protect against dirt or damage. They made it out to our new place in San Francisco, moved in our items and placed them appropriately and setup the queen bed. And let me tell you, my friend was right, these guys worked so hard - I have no idea how they got my heavy hutch up two flights of stairs, I was seriously impressed! The bill was exactly what was quoted, no hidden charges. Hubby and I will use Swift Lift Movers the next time we move, they were AWESOME! And also super nice folks. read more

Not only did these guys make my Pottery Barn Outlet experience so much better (they know the store as well as, if not better, than the Pottery Barn staff), they were punctual, not creepy, and enthusiastic. And a great value. They helped me battle the staff to make sure the already last available assembled table was going to be mine, then bid to move the table for 30% less than someone else at the warehouse, and then brought it to my house in 3 hours (no contract, just a text message agreement). I really appreciate how involved Fernando was, how many high fives I got from him, and he even inspired trust from my highly suspicious mother. I was referred to these guys by my brother who had to move furniture from pottery barn to Novato and gave me amazing reviews, I gave them a call and spoke to Fernando who was extremely polite, concise, and gave me scheduling windows open for the week so a good foundation of plans were set forth. After my call I emailed him the items I needed moved, their relative size, the address of where we would meet and the destination - Fernando immediately responded with a quote which involved the price per mile and labor fees so I was never left in the dark about the transaction, perfect service! we went to the West Elm warehouse in Alameda just to look. Low and behold, we found what we needed. The problem was, moving a king size storage bed from Alameda to San Francisco isn't easy. The warehouse staff recommended swift movers so we decided to give them a call. I'm sure glad we did. For a reasonable price, not much more than the cost of a U-haul + mileage, they picked up the item and delivered it to our bedroom. They were in touch with us throughout the day and gave us frequent updates as to their ETA. As a result, we got to spend the afternoon drinking beer at the local brewery instead of moving the bed. Met Swift Lift Movers at the Pottery Barn Outlet sale in Alameda and asked about helping us move some larger items from apartment in Emeryville to new apartment in San Rafael. I was told they could help with that and was given a business card. I emailed Fernando with the details of what I wanted to move and from where to where. I was given a price quote that was very reasonable. Communication via email was great and we setup an appointment date and time. Moving day came and Fernando and his two brothers showed up on time and did an excellent job, very professional, wrapped our sofa and dresser against ant dirt or damage. They followed us out to our new place in San Rafael and brought in all the stuff and placed it where we wanted it, setup the queen bed, even inquired if we needed help with moving any of the other stuff we already have brought over. I recently purchased a large rug from the Pottery Barn Outlet in Alameda. I was in need of a delivery service and was introduced to Swift Movers, a family run business. I was given a quote on the spot and was told later that day. I was delighted. The delivery arrived as promised. They brought the rug in, rolled it out, cut the pad to to fit, and moved all the furniture back into the dinning room. They even hauled my old wool rug away for recycling.
