I can hardly express how bad this place is. Which is a shame, it used to be great. I would come with my friends like once a week and it was the best place in town, but I'll never be going here again. I payed 9.75 for a burrito, and when I got it it was tiny. Like not even the size of my fist. I also got a drink and tots. The tots were cold and stale like they had been sitting for awhile. The soda cup was like 95% full of ice so there was very little soda which was upsetting, but I'm used to that it's a decently common thing. I took a bite of the burrito and pretty much spit it out. It was horrible. The rice was crunchy like it hadn't been cooked, the tortilla tasted old, the meat was slimy, and the beans didn't taste right. It also had hardly any sauce on it. If you want a good burrito for a good price, don't go here. read more

I waited over an hour to get a burrito, tots, and a drink from this place through door dash. The dasher was there on time and very professional. Sweeto Burrito took an hour to make the food and then sent the dasher out with cold food and a missing beverage. This isn't the first time this has happened. I once was a Sweeto Burrito virgin. I had never been to one of their food trucks, but I had seen them around town ALL. THE. TIME. I knew I needed to try it but I was never in the mood to give it a go. Now, as they have opened an actual restaurant in Orem/Lindon, I decided it was time to give it a go. My mom and I went on a cute little lunch date. My mom got the signature Sweeto Burrito, and I ordered the Break Neck. I was SUPER in love with my burrito and loved the flavor of the sauce inside of it. Also there were tator tots and bits of egg inside which just threw me into a daze of pure bliss. My mom loved her burrito, but I preferred mine to hers. The location itself is rather small. It's in the old Kneader's building. I'm sure they could do well to expand, but having since just opened, it could take awhile. Also, I'm sure they might slow down a bit after the initial excitement of their grand opening is over. The service was quick and kind and appreciated. Let me sell you on them, right here, right now. Ladies... have you ever gone in a bathroom and wished you could put lotion on or spritz yourself with some body spray before exiting? LOOK NO FURTHER. Inside the bathroom was two sets of Bath and Body Works lotion and body sprays, for all your comfort needs. I love this idea. I think this idea needs to be implemented immediately into every restaurant ever. Sorry dudes, I'm not sure what lovely treats await you in the men's bathroom. Maybe breath mints and shaving cream? This review is hard for me to write because I love their burritos but they have done my friend, Jordan, dirty too many times. Our work team has gone to Sweeto a few times for lunch. My friend, Jordan, has ordered the large pound burrito every time but it has been smaller than the half pound burritos our other colleagues have ordered. He voiced his concern twice but they didnt' give a damn. During our last visit someone else had the same problem and even showed them that their friends half pound was bigger than his "full pount." I keep going back. $2 little cheez quesadilla is amazing, I just order two of those and side of queso to dip. Daughter takes a few bites such as she does and I save hers for later while we are at the park or wherever, or eat it if she never gets around to finishing it, or if I am extra hungry. Carnivore, macho nachos are a bit much. They are huge. I'm not enough of a bacon lover to be won over by these although delicious. So I just go with standard five buck nachos, white chick, and sometimes the steak carne assassin. Next I want to try the break neck. I am just a fan of single syllabic word sequences. After being one of 3 cars in the drive thru, and from what I could see, a very empty restaurant on the inside, we waited in the drive thru line for at least 30 minutes to get to the window and be met by a very rude employee. Proportions here are bad. Overpriced and the burritos are ok. They use a LOT of sauce and the burritos are very sloppily put together. Never having visited one of their trucks, I decided to stop by the store and find out what they are all about. I selected the Carne Assassin burrito (with a name like that, how could I not?) in the small size. The taste was fine, with decent flavor in my opinion. The size was definitely smaller--which is just what I had requested--but the $6 price seemed very steep for what I got. There are dozens of other burrito shops in town that offer more food for the buck. This makes Sweeto a pretty poor value in my opinion. I don't know if I'll go back. read more

This burrito is a different thing -- rice, meat, love, and then just enough black beans included (on the sweeto burrito). First of all this place is great! Different and surprising! I love the flavors! But! There's definitely been a decline in quality. Especially at this location on State St. They must have someone who works there that likes to skimp out on all the ingredients because I swear I only get 3 pieces of meat with my burrito when I used to get one with almost every bite! More like the height of the Roman Empire when some ravishing young woman in the Titus Bathhouse looks around and suddenly shouts: "By Jupiter! We're all smoking hot! Let's get it on!" The other bathers all look around and say, "Why, that's a lovely idea. We shall!" (It sounds better in Latin.) All my visits have been at lunchtime, and there's been gridlock in the parking lot, a line out the door, and people circling the seating area like vultures waiting for something to drop dead or leave--whatever so long as there is a free table. I've had a Smokehouse, Carnivore, Cheeseburger, and Buff Chick. They were all pretty good. It was $8 for the regular size, and most of the time I felt like that was a little small. Sweeto is fun food. Not fun simply because it comes from a food truck (which IS very fun), but fun because you haven't had anything like it before. Like the Smokehouse burrito -- chicken, bacon, onion rings, cheddar, and a creamy cilantro sauce? That's a burrito? You bet it is. It is a delicious burrito. The Buff Chick is great too, with chicken, tater tots, cheese, and a combo of that sweet cilantro sauce and spicy buffalo sauce. But they have more traditional burritos too, with rice and black beans. The Sweeto has sweet pork (top notch) and the White Chick the same smoky, tender chicken thigh meat as the Smokehouse. Their food is fast, fresh, and consistently satisfies. I recommend it as one of the fun food highlights of Provo. The food gets 4 stars, and having the guts to bring fun food truck diversity earns them their fifth star from me. read more

I actually really enjoyed my burrito. I got the smokehouse, which has onion rings in it. Despite having massive bites of onion, the burrito is fantastic. My wife got the breakfast burrito which she loved. My sister got the little porky or whatever they call it. Honestly, I would go back and order 2 or 3 of the mini burritos. They're $2-$3 instead of $5 or $9 for the bigger burritos. They have some amazing selections of burritos. Sadly, like those who have posted reviews, their costs are too high to keep me as a consistent customer. A microwaved tortilla and a burrito that is smaller than the $4 burrito that I get from Beto's or even the Mountain West Burrito that has just as fresh of ingredients for $7-$8. I understand using fresh ingredients can be expensive, but to charge $9 for a burrito from a food truck is a recipe for a short-lived business. To conclude, we loved our burritos, but probably won't come back more than once every month or two...because there are too any competitors that have equally good ingredients for less. I will admit - I was not impressed with my first visit to Sweeto. Like some of the reviews, my burrito was small and proportioned incorrectly. I didn't think I'd give it a second chance with so many good burrito places around. But I think these guys have taken the feedback seriously and worked out some of these "inconsistencies". Second time around I got the Buff Chick which has chunks of buffalo chicken stuffed in it and my mouth has never before or since experienced a flavor combo that you get in this burrito! Hands down my favorite burrito they have. I've also tried the break neck, their breakfast burrito and this is not your mama's take on the breakfast burrito! Good food. Bad service. Long wait. Went through the drive through (there was nobody in front of us) and waited 20 mins for our food. I've been there many times before and this happens every time so I'm finally leaving a review. The drinks on their menu aren't up-to-date they say Coke on there but they don't carry Coke products anymore they only carry Pepsi. Then they told us they didn't even Carrie diet Dr Pepper. Frustrating. The drive through is tiny. Not great for bigger cars, or any cars for that matter. Not to mention the workers aren't very polite always giggling and not really giving full attention to customers. I'm feeling generous today. This Sweeto burrito has a lifetime fan with the kind of customer service they gave me today. This was also my first time trying Sweeto burrito. I saw that they had a breakfast burrito (the breakneck which I would recommend) and so I went to order it online since this is during the time of COVID-19. Well the online store wasn't giving me the option to order this burrito. So I call this restaurant to order it and they tell me it was taken off the menu during this virus issue. BUT the guy said they had a few eggs left and that he would make it for me. That is above and beyond service. That worker was super nice and chill too. I wish I caught his name because he deserves a raise. The whole establishment deserves a raise. I then go to pick up my food and I was greeted with a warm smile and friendly faces. And the food was impressive as well. I would recommend less sauce though. I got the all-American (which comes with fry sauce on it) and the breakneck and they both had a little too much sauce on it for me. But this first time visit was a learning experience. I know to ask for less sauce next time. But overall, this was a magnificent experience and I'll be coming here for years to come. read more

I had heard of Sweeto Burrito on Facebook from friends that live in Idaho, so when I saw the Sweeto Burrito truck in Provo I got excited. They offer several different kinds of burritos. I really should have taken a photo of the menu. I can't remember all of the different options. You can get a half-pound burrito for $5 and a pound burrito for $9. I got the Sweeto Burrito since that's what the food truck is named after. There was pork, chicken, rice, cilantro, and some of their sauce. Overall the burrito was ok. Most of the flavor seemed to come from the rice mixed with the sauce. I could taste the some sweetness in the pork, but would have preferred more oomph from the meat. Also the pork was fairly fatty. I didn't mind it as much, but my wife couldn't handle how chewy it was. Like I said before, the burrito was good, but you could make the burrito amazing by increasing the quality of the meat. I would recommend that friends give it a try and see if they like something on the menu. read more

I figured there was probably a story to this, since this didn't seem like any kind of local place. The table tops of the restaurant have routed surfaces with various luchador wrestling matches, featuring the names of the various burritos. Lots of various posters, also promoting these "matches", also adorn the walls and this is all marketing, baby. It works and this lovely trendy places was packing them in by the droves. Good for them and if you want the story, which is admittedly kind of a cool one, is available on their website. Interior is clean and mostly dark wood tones and steel. Drink selection is a total wash and this is only vaguely Mexican. In fact, following the story, it is Mexican by way of North Dakota, so not very Mexican at all. I would say that this would do well in areas that don't know any better and don't have a real Mexican reference, but given how well absurd junk like Café Rio, Costa Vida, Chipotle, Barbacoa and others of that ilk seem to do here, in a place where we not only have actual Mexican reference points but good ones to boot, I have revised this opinion to one of being surprised if this place doesn't continue to do well, though not to its current staggering level of popularity. It will enjoy that for a while, though, I'd say... There are strengths. The food came out fast and you choose from pre-chosen ingredients, which tends to save time and gives it advantage over those other crapfests where someone has to decide in micro-ounces of how much slop to slop onto your pile of slop. Burritos here are big and sort of cheap, but that bigness comes with a hidden cost and that is one of quality. Like rice? This place is borderline as bad as Chipotle in using it for filler. Flavors were ok, but the burrito overall was a bit dry. Overall, I think this place has a ton of promise. Originally, it did well as a comparison to stuff like gas station food, but realistically, if you can't beat that with a food truck, you should button up the doors and just park it. So, it's better than gas station food and comparable to those other hot mess places I listed. I probably won't be back as I can't be bothered with this kind of thing, especially waiting for it, but if I wasn't able to avoid this kind of place, I'd still rather go to Chipotle, as I think they do a better overall job and also have Coke Zero on tap. read more

Food is good. We ordered Sweeto Burrito and Carne Assassin Burrito. We bought the medium-size burritos ($6 and $7), and they were quite filling. They are messy! Be sure to have a few napkins close by. I thought it humorous when they were brought on a tray to our table, we were only given one napkin!
