I came here the other day. I always see this place on my bike route and its always full of people. So I gave it a try. The interior is unique, brick wall, drop down lights/chandeliers, small table seating, bar style seating as well. It has a laid back ambiance. I ordered some breakfast and a cafe Latte with whole milk. The breakfast platter (really wasnt a platter) was decent but I felt it was over priced for what I got. Thee eggs that were supposed to be sunny side up, were overly cooked. The bacon however was cooked to perfection. You cant get a better cooked bacon anywhere. The hash brown was dry and a vit over cooked. When the menu said eggs, bacon and hash. I didnt expect it to be one of those McDonald style hash browns. All placed on a small bed of arugula. Despite the imperfection of the eggs and hash brown. The food was very good to eat. Either that or I was just really hungry. The cafe latte with whole milk was done with oat milk despite specifically asking for whole milk. I travel to alot of coffee shops and know the difference lol. Aside from that, the time frame for my food to be given was very close to 30 minutes maybe over that. I was able to watch 2 episodes of Seinfeld on my phone before I was called to retrieve my food. Despite these hiccups, i still give this a 4 star review because what made up for it was the nice gentleman who addressed everyone as friend. His demeanor really removed the frustration of the food and coffee. But let me also say that although the food was over cooked and the coffee was made with the wrong milk, i thoroughly enjoyed it. Between the ambiance, the gentleman and the tasty food. Its a place i will revisit more than twice when time allows. You just dont find places like this anywhere. read more

Love, love love this place. I first discovered them because they host Drink-n-draw events. (8-10pm every Monday). But I'm a huge fan of Greenpoint, and spend enough days there. So I've been stopping into Sweetleaf for my cold brew. They're A+ delicious. I would compare them to Gimme, Grumpy & Toby's for those who are connoisseurs :) The space here is also pretty cool. It's setup like the other Sweetleaf shops in LIC. The decor is sort of vintage victorian. At least that's the vibe i get. read more

Beautiful shop, I had a sausage egg sandwich that was perfect! The latte was beautifully don't and tasted great I almost didn't drink it because of the art on it. The service is great and so is the view. Totally coming back tomorrow. read more

Sweetleaf Coffee - Latte - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

One of my favourite coffee shops in all of the city. Strong, quality coffee. I often come for the Voodoo Child or the Rocket Fuel, but the maple leaf latte is a solid option as well. Raspberry bars are also a nice treat, though I found their egg sandwich underwhelming. Here's a bonus, though-- you can buy their roasts online. read more

Sweetleaf is delicious and I'm still mourning that they closed their Williamburg location. The Greenpoint location isn't too far from the hustle and bustle in the neighborhood, but still not directly in the line of fire. Very spacious, with good outdoor seating for the right weather. I'm a loyalist to the Voodoo Child. I have been unable to find a Vietnamese coffee that rivals Sweetleaf's take. Trust me on this. read more

Super cute cafe on the north end of Greenpoint. Loved the coffee and the atmosphere. Customer service was super friendly. I wish NYC would allow their businesses to let customers sit down again. I'll be back when it does. read more

There's coffee is fantastic. But the wait time to get food is insane. I've been there when there's a light crowd and it takes 40 minutes for a breakfast sandwich or a salad to come out of the kitchen. I feel like they should have something on their food menu saying "expect up to an hour for your food" so people don't think it's like most coffee shops where you'll get a breakfast sandwich in 5 minutes or less. read more

Solid lattes, some of the best in the neighborhood. Be sure to grab a rewards card buy 10 get 1 free. Lots of vegan treats if you're looking for that. They do not have normal cold brew. Lots of seating and free wifi, a good place to hang out while you drink your coffee. The music can be hit or miss, sometimes it's decent other times they overdo the hipster. read more

Sweetleaf Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I love the ambience and the eclectic array of furniture here. It had at an atmosphere that allowed for quiet chatting as well focused work. I got an iced cappucino and it was delicious. Only complaint is that it was pricey (almost $5, maybe even a bit more.) My friend ordered the iced chai, which is normally one of my favorite iced drinks. Was surprised, however, to find it way too sweet with not much flavor...and overly cinnamon-y. Another complaint is that you may not find a place to sit. Otherwise, great coffeeshop! read more

Best coffee in the neighborhood. The rocket fuel is amazing and indulgent but truly gives you the boost you're looking for. Their regular drip is also solid. If you're getting a baked good I recommend the vegan corn blueberry muffin and actually found it to be better than the non vegan variety. Pass on the strawberry iced tea and most of the things on the food menu but any of the coffee drinks are 10/10! read more

Sweetleaf is an industrial yet cozy coffeeshop. The place is quiet, with a range of seating available for patrons. A great spot for bringing your laptop or a new book - definitely a place I would feel comfortable staying for a while. I had the chai latte, and didn't LOVE it. It wasn't overly sweet (which I prefer), but it tasted like it had a bit too much ginger or some spice. The croissant we had was great though! read more

Well seeing as how today was my like at least tenth visit it's probably time to review this Sweetleaf location. Today I was fortunate to enjoy my free beverage with their card/rewards program. My previous experiences have always been with tie regular coffee. It's okay. It's not as good as Bukeri which is right down the street. Today I enjoyed a large Rocket Fuel. It was pricy ($5 something) but since mine was free.... It's a cold brew with a maple syrup sweetening. I love it! It's pretty powerful and packs quite the caffeine punch but that has its place. The space at this location and the staff are always pleasant, clean, helpful, and stocked. I do enjoy the seating and the open garage door for nice weather days. Overall it's good but it could be better from a regular coffee standpoint. I'd give the Rocket Fuel a 5/5 though!!!! read more

Sweetleaf Coffee - Rocket Fuel - Large - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I was working in the area yesterday and stopped in a few times. Ordered two expressos and a green tea. Can't say I was a fan of either drink. The expresso was pretty undrinkable. So bitter, it brought tart to a whole new level. However, I really like the environment, personally, it's worth finding a drink I like so I can work and hangout there. Super chill, tons of space, wifi, clean bathroom, plus you get this great indoor outdoor environment which I love. The barista wasn't super friendly, but I feel like if I showed a bunch of times he would be. And his music selection was kinda legit -even if it wasn't exactly my thing. So extra kudos there. read more

Absolutely love Sweetleaf and am always welcomed with a smile by the crew! Delicious coffee from the cold brew to the hot. Bring some of their beans home to brew your own too. All around a favorite spot in the neighborhood!! read more

meh this place is a solid OKAY. the coffee isn't bad, but is far from great. matcha is also sub par. It seems that minimal effort is put into brewing here. I've yet to try the pastries but it's only because they looked a bit stale. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese for a friend who asked me to pick it up for her and they omitted the cream cheese. wait time is ridiculous and they are not that packed. There are just SO many better coffee shops in the area read more

Me and my family love coming to this location. Christian (I believe is the manager) always greats us with a smile and asks how we're doing, before we even place our order. Me and my fiancé always get the voodoo cold brew specialty drink, it's like ice cream in a cup and goes down smooth. It also holds its taste even if we leave it in the fridge for a few hours. This is definitely a go to coffee shop for us. read more

Good ambiance and a large selection of pastries/croissants! Fair amount of outdoor seating. Enjoyed the coffee!

A new and welcome addition to Greenpoint. Roaster on site, spacious setting with plenty of seating (outdoor as well), quiet, bike rack, nice baristas, and of course, excellent coffee. First rate espresso in a chill setting. Will become a regular spot for me. read more

The venue is awesome. Had "rocket fuel" which was ok although it tested more like a sweetened iced coffee for $6.26. However, I'm a bit disappointed that the gluten free pumpkin bread/cake is stone dry not to mention the bad customer service! The barista didn't want to warm it for me, so I tried to eat it cold, and couldn't finish it since it was too dry . I don't know why they refuse to warm your pastry when you ask. They also stopped serving food at 2:30, which left me with no option since I was hungry :( surprisingly, nothing bits Starbucks since their customer service is top-notch standard! read more

This is by far the best coffee in NYC !!! I've always loved what they did with this space , incredibly comfy !! The staff is friendly and quick . Music is always chill and soothing. I live in the East Village , and sometimes I come all the way to Greenpoint , just to have a cup of coffee from Sweetleaf !!! Keep up the good work fellas !! read more

Thanks but no. Unjustifiably expensive. Forced aesthetic. Over roasted, bitter and pricey! People dig it but the inconvenience of getting coffee elsewhere is totally worth it. read more

After roaming the streets of Greenpoint w/ my dog many, many mornings over the past year and a half, I slowly narrowed down my favorite spots! Hands down best coffee goes to these guys. The fact that it is also so delicately and beautifully designed, and you are always greeted with a smile, just adds to the sweet flavor of this place! More please read more

Really lovely seating and ambiance but weak coffee game. Iced tea selection is good though!

The best coffee in Greenpoint! The cold brew is amazing, but really any of the drinks are going to be well made and delicious. The environment is very eclectic and a great place to meet a friend for a drink. A huge garage door is open during nice weather for an indoor/outdoor feel. Negatives: they don't have mugs for coffee to-stay, no compost or recycling read more

If you are in need of GOOD STRONG COFFEE WITH EXCEPTIONAL TASTE... then look no farther! Sweetheart provides the perfect ambience (before and during) the pandemic to order a cup of Jo hot or iced. It's perfect for the morning or midday pick me up. I would say not to consume too late as you may be up way past your bedtime... it's strongbut in the best way! Baristas are talented and friendly without asking nosy questions! I love the decor and the seating. When it's available again I can't wait to sip on iced mocha lattes and snack on their wonderful raspberry bars while reading a good book A+ for this neighborhood gave of mine. read more

A coffee shop in, what looks like, a makeshift mechanics garage. A great relief for when it's too hot outside. Try the iced black coffee with sugar. read more

This is by far my favorite coffee spot in all of Brooklyn. On the side, I walk dogs and two days a week I'm in greenpoint. I found this coffee spot on one of my walks, and it has become my weekly treat! I love the space, it's huge and vintage, and reflects old school dairy farms. I grew up in the country, so this was awesome! Another thing I happen to love is the customer service. Typically, I hate Brooklyn coffee shops. There is something about the "bitter starving artist fresh out of college who is mad at the world so fuck your coffee" trend that I'm not into. Every time I come to sweetleaf, however, I'm greeted with a smile. This is probably why I continue to come here rather than propeller which is more on my route. They typically have yummy bakery snacks and specialty drinks. My favorite is the maple leaf. Something about the dairy farm decor and my background that makes this irresistible! I usually grab it without the nutmeg tho. They tend to put a little too much on. All in all, my favorite spot and I'm back weekly! :) read more

Moment I walked in, I had like 20 pairs of eyes on me, both customers and staff. I'm pretty sure it wasn't my "presence." I also later checked if I had my skirt stuffed into my underpants or something. Nope. Never seen an Asian in this part of town? Maybe I should have broken out in a rap medley- cuz I sure had the crowd's full attention. Didn't know where their menu was displayed, so asked if they had cold brew. The cashier looked blank, then mumbled something along the lines of "mixed drinks." I managed to get the Rocket Fuel cold brew. The coffee was splendid. On fleek. Knocking off a star because of service. Service on par with other reviewers- mediocre at best. Seemed pretty disengaged with the cafe. read more

Good coffee, peculiar service. No need to deal with microagressions when you are paying 5 bucks for a latte. I asked to add an extra ingredient (nutmeg) in my latte, but he let me waiting, playing aloof, then, he just tell me: 'We don't have any sweetie.' Sadly, I just saw him adding nutmeg to the previous coffee order when I was in line. Lazy? Microaggression? I suppose black-arab-looking latino customers don't deserve nutmeg in their coffees. read more

Great place that just feels good. Great coffee, great people and design and layout is amazing.

Sweet leaf brings the same ambiance as its other locations. You can't really go wrong ordering coffee at this location the staff seems friendly and the coffee taste just right not to bitter nor sweet just right. I do recommend the carrot cake it's packed with sweet goodness. read more

Sweetleaf is a great, spacious cafe in Greenpoint. I love their Colombian roast coffee and lattes especially! Fun hangout too.

My favourite coffee in Williamsburg, and so far apart from Blue Bottle the only place I've found a 'real' cappuccino, ie not a large, watery, flavorless mess; it's a real European cappuccino, small and strong. Very friendly staff, as soon as I moved to the area I started coming here every day pretty much and they'd always remember what I want. The vibe in there is really nice too, I went in a few times with my laptop to get some work done. The perfect coffee place. read more

This place is good. They have plenty of seating, lots of space, fast wifi, and lots of options to choose from. In addition to their drinks, they have a selection of baked goods which includes some vegan and gluten-free options. The people who work here friendly and attentive. The only downside is that the music is pretty loud. Maybe they do this to keep people from working on their laptops all day? read more

The JV version of the euphoria high kids working here need to learn to help customers and fully complete their orders before chatting with the other baristas. Customers shouldn't have to wait for you to finish gossiping about other customers before they get their coffee. Customers shouldn't hear you gossiping about other customers ever, actually. read more

We loved this place as a hangout spot. Not sure how long it's been here but we wished we knew about it sooner so we can get away from the main parts of Williamsburg. This area is much less congested with the weekend crowds, probably due to the lack of subways nearby. Nonetheless, the hipster Willysburg vibe is not far away and the prices reflect that. Definitely not a cheap coffee/tea spot, but it's definitely not a boring one either. read more

One of the better spots in Greenpoint and I will tell you why: it has actual couches, it opens it's garage door on lovely days and the brick interior gives it a cozy feel. It doesn't have a clinical, corporate vibe to it. Too many coffee places in NYC feel sterile, as if they want you to drink and leave asap. Although, their espresso was given to me a few times in a paper cup instead of a little glass. That's a no-no for me. read more
