Decent bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches. Coffee is really really good. Service is nice but can be pretty slow. Ambiance is very clean and spacious. Seems like a great place to work remotely.

    Delicious berry danish. Delicious.

Eleva elevates the bar. They are the best. The folks that work there are professional and make great stuff. Great atmosphere. Everything is great. I'll be coming back with my girlfriend.

The decor of Eleva Coffee GPL is elegant, brilliant and perfect for a relaxing moment. The staff was super nice and friendly. We extremely enjoyed our time there on a Sunday morning. We had 2 cups of Latte, Breakfast Empanada, Chocolate Croissant and a box of Milk Chocolate Alfajores. The coffee was refreshing with a gentle smell and the food was overall decent. Our favorite was the Alfajores, the texture was delicate and the flavor wasn't too sweet.

Gorgeous coffeeshop located on the tip of north Greenpoint. Eleva Coffee takes you away from the hustle and bustle of Greenpoint/Williamsburg since it's located inside one of the newly developed highrises. The space is beautifully decorated with a generous amount of tables, which are especially great for groups. I've been here several times in the early afternoon and experienced quieter settings with customers working on laptops. Personally for me, I enjoyed my times there working and drinking a nice cup of coffee or specialty drink, as they have several concoctions of their own such as a blueberry latte. The prices are reasonable and comparable to neighboring shops. What makes this coffeeshop stand out is the interior, location and the customer service. The drinks I've had were always delicious and I've tried some of their pastries; their dank matcha loaf is my favorite. Eleva also has a spacious unisex bathroom available. Accepts cash, card and Applepay. Bathroom available. Open decently late. Great for working with wifi and outlets. Indoor/outdoor and takeout available. Drink up!

Cute cafe next to the waters, on street side (not waterfront). Friendly staff and posh decor. Tried their latte. Was in the AM when they opened and people were already waiting outside, which is a good sign. They were baking pasties so couldn't order them when we were there, so fyi when you get there when they open, they may not have pastries .

Hat you'll see when you walk past this place.

This is one of those places that thinks it's good, and it could be if it wasn't for the horrible customer service. It all begins with the owner, or the person in charge - a middle aged woman with black hair who saunters around the place of unwarranted arrogance. Then there's the staff who follow suit and remind themselves of how great they are and what a blessing it is for them to serve you ( reminder here, your job is to serve food, not attitude ). Their coffees are ok, and the pastries are too, but over priced. Do yourself a favor, walk down a few feet to riverside market where you'll get way better , for way less and without the entitled attitude that comes with the unhappy Brooklyn types.

This place is a joke. Worst iced coffee I've ever had and at $8... LOL. Unkind service didn't help either.

They were young, energetic, and a hard working bunch, Eastern European sounding . They are fierce in their added charges at the register- the likes of which I have never seen in the coffee shop/ donut world. First & Last visit. Too mich of a culture clash. How I was treated here would not fly or last One minute in North Shore Nassau -.But here in Brooklyn this is a bustling coffee & donut shop with all seats taken and a line for take out. Donuts & coffee both good - Good. Experience a no go. They were pre- occupied with added fees. it's all they mentioned with each donut picked. It went like this - "A dozen doughnuts please" and I began pointing at quite regular looking donuts (all in the same rows) or so I thought. " thats a dollar extra" ( boston creme) hm ok " thats a dollar extra" ( coconut creme) hm ok " thats a dollar extra" ( boston creme stick) hm ok " thats a dollar extra" ( french cruller white icing hm ok " thats a dollar extra" (french cruller chocolate icing) hm ok " Two small coffees also please " HM are those the small?? I kid you not they were TINY kid sized The cup size I have never seen before. They must special order them for samples or something. Ok so "They are wayyy too tiny so - medium please" Out came the typical small sized cup - Hmm so ok. Let's ring and go I'm thinking. Next the woman is struggling with a paper by the register trying to figure out the coat of this dozen donuts (plus five with her added $1's) - then more struggle and I said " it's a dozen plus $5" thats $29.50". "Oh no you don't have a dozen". Apparently the extra $5 disqualified my "dozen". I know what you're thinking but No- no special donuts from some other case - no coffee rolls etc - i'm a NY'er and know a donut from a special roll etc. You need to buy five more for a dozen. "Oh? No, I have a dozen and am paying you five up charges as you stated." Next thing she is ringing the donuts individually Plus the extra $5 Which makes NO sense. But gets her another added $5 or so. Why would they keep quoting me add ons to my dozen if no dozen existed once you added a Boston creme etc. She raced to the manager. The Brooklynites thought ne a mean old lady for saying you're overcharging me'. The manager flew over - a young man huffy and emphatic that the five very ordinary donuts that were $5 more converted my dozen to a different price per donut. Then they said something funny to me - "would you like me to take those out and give you regular donuts?". No. (See update for more) " No those are the ones I want " but you just over charged me - I'll take them. But you are overcharging me. Thank you. Holy mackerel - just glad to be on the way out WITH the donuts of course- I was not furious or anything- and the donuts were never at risk- I'd not walk out on the donuts - My advice is to be more transparent in pricing and not deem very basic donuts special donuts - making your customers feel ripped off.- Better just to charge more for the dozen. And.. like other shops put any supposed special donuts in a special donut area - like coffee rolls, big fritters etc. That's how it's Typically done. This is New York! You can't pull that here. This is a place where people pay $6 for a good cookie. They are not cheap. Don't be weird at the register. And those cups Come on - are you KIDding me - pun intended. I left holding on to my wallet a lot tighter. And that is not NYstyle. I felt like some war was on and was ready to start stacking change. I'm also half Italian! So for me - This was one weird cheapskate experience. So that's my review. --------------------Update - Follow up to reply ------------------------------- Hi Demetrios, Thank you for replying. I generally stay positive on reviews. Like I said it was the aggressive way I was treated that was the no go for me. What I left out of the review was worse! For instance - your counter person began reaching to open the box saying she was taking out donuts to replace them with others. She grabbed the box and actually began getting ready to fling donuts around. It was totally weird. Had she actually not stopped trying to untie when asked I would have not taken them. It weirded me out. You say you keep the business the same since 1993? Well where is the Jelly Stick? A New Yok classic. So much for keeping it the same. Its on the sign over the counter and you don't make them any more .. so It is Not the same as it once was. Got ya! jk. And no.. no no.. I am Never mean or rude... just willing to say something. Ok so the coffee.. if its really $1 I get it.. its a nice gesture to your customers... they had something like that in Montauk.. a tiny beer for $1 at a place called Liar's Saloon. So ok.... right on you. Update /3

I grabbed a ham and cheese croissant and a strawberry soft cream cake. The croissant was actually flaky with a decent butter flavor, not dry or bready like a lot of chain spots. The ham wasn't cheap-tasting either, which I half expected. The strawberry cake was light and not overly sweet, more whipped cream than sugar bomb, which made it easy to finish without feeling gross. Also tried their iced latte. Nothing fancy, but it wasn't burnt or watery, which honestly already puts it above a lot of similar chains. What stands out is consistency. You can walk into almost any location and know exactly what you're getting. Display is always stocked, everything looks clean, and the ordering process is quick even when it's busy. The staff is really nice and easy-going. Also, the young (I think) 2nd Gen owner (very cool seeing the culture carried on) is there a lot. Everything is freshly baked and a good portion. Even the sandwiches and salads in the packaged food case look really good. I've had the custard cream bun, hotdog garlic roll, & a egg, ham & hash brown roll (wasn't a huge fan, the hash brown doesn't stay crispy). I've tried the Portuguese egg tart (Pastel de Nata) & that wasn't so great - reminded me of the egg tarts from Aldi, sweet bland filler custard. The staff can heat the pastries up for you, but it might take at least two rounds for larger items. Highly recommend the round fried rice flour/mochi doughnut, soboro bao (the peanut butter crust-topped bun) & if they have, a coffee/mocha shell-topped bao. You can't go wrong with a Korean chiffon cake slice - not too sweet, and light as air buttercream. Not sure if the strawberry cake is based off of Japanese strawberry (birthday) cake. I've never had their drinks, so don't have a review about them. I don't get the impression that the drinks are the strength of the café. Paris Baguette is a chain from Korea. I think their cafés in Korea are a lot bigger and very nice/comfortable, the US version is a more minimal and quick service kind of set up. For $4 -15 you can get a decent pastry, sandwich, or salad which is a great option for the area, LaGuardia Community College students & hotel guests nearby.
