Couldn't really find a fault here. This location has an interesting set-up. They're basically a really large kiosk on the ground floor of the galleria. Having an Architectural background, I couldn't help but enjoy the large open feel to the place. I came for lunch with some co-workers and got the guacamole greens. Mesclun, avocado, onion, tortilla chips, chicken, fresh squeezed lime and a jalapeño vinegrette. You choose the dressing amount and they mix it up for you. Salad was great, avocados make everything better and the lime juice was a noticeable nice touch. I opted for the multigrain bread as well. The only knock is that I had a sample for the goat cheese peach salad, that had no peach. That's not actually a knock, they still get 5 stars. I'd like to try one of the drinks next time. TLDR: Located in Tysons 2 near Macy's area, long lines form after 12pm, reccomend the guacamole greens and warm harvest bowl, great spot for a light lunch! There are many places around the Tyson's area that serve salads, but sweetgreen does it right! They really know how to treat you as a person and not just another order number. Sweet Green is probably one of my coworkers' and I's favorite place to get lunch when you are wanting a light and flavorful lunch, this is the place to go. It's located in Tysons 2 near the far end of the mall where Macy's and Sur la table are, except is not like a shop, it's more of a pop up shop in the middle of the mall. The lines get super long after 11:50am, so if you wish to get a salad after 12pm, plan to stand in line for at least 20 minutes if the line is long, but fear not, they have an online and app ordering that you can create your order from. It makes ordering hassle free, little to no misunderstandings as to what you want in your salad bowl, and it's ready at the window when you get there. When they do make a mistake on your order, they apologize for the mix up and quickly make up the salad you originally ask for within 5 minutes. Their customer service is phenomenal!!! (FYI: when ordering online or through the app, the salad comes untossed and dressings are on the side to keep the veggies fresh and not soggy by the time you get the order.) My go to salad is the guacamole greens and the warm harvest bowl. After I have had their salad, I'm not hungry until about 5pm which is usually when dinner is. Their salads are really made up of their freshest ingredients and the staff are really attentive and understanding which I always admire. Standard sweetgreen. Fresh veggies, but can be pricey. They are quite stingy with the protein and it can be hit or miss. Yesterday my chicken was hard and super dry and over cooked. You could see the chicken strands separating, and that slightly translucent brown from being so over cooked. I would just try to stick within the range of what is included in the custom salads because the additional items can really make your salad $15-20. And you could've just went to the supermarket and chopped some stuff up. What sets sweetgreen apart are the dressings; my favorites are the spicy cashew (which is not that spicy and has a nice hint of ginger and tastes like Thai peanut sauce), coconut curry (pretty light and not heavy), and the hot sauce on the side to dip my chicken in (actually pretty spicy). read more

Fresh and in the middle of the mall. What's not to like? You pick your own everything or chose a combo from the menu. Another "chipotle" type of restaurant but for healthy higher grade salads. They've got soups and breads if you want to throw something in the mix. The staff is super friendly and kind. You can pay with their app and join their loyalty program to get your way to a free bowl. I had the December mix and it felt like December. A little hearty from the quinoa and sweet from the dried cranberries. Winter for sure. Freshly brewed ice teas goes well with the meal. Compostable everything if it's to go. What's not to like for a quick lunch? The only things is that it is open seating so all mall goers will eye you while you eat. But it's Tyson's Galleria. First time and I chose to create my own salad. The gentleman who helped me was friendly and when I chose avocado, he indicated it was extra, to which I said okay. I moved down the line building my salad and at no point did he indicate that basic items like cheese, eggs, and mushrooms were going to be an extra charge. When I get to the register, I'm told my salad of arugula, avocado, egg, cheddar cheese, mushrooms, cilantro, cucumbers, tortilla strips, and chicken was $16. $16?!?! How is that even possible?! There were no signs on the line or the menu board. No matter how fresh the ingredients are, no salad from a mall kiosk is worth $16. First and last visit. read more

I used to be a Chopt fan but Sweetgreen is superior in almost every way. This location in particular is great for dinner because it has almost no traffic (as opposed to lunch, when it's packed). This location is in the middle of the mall and gets absolutely packed during lunch. I stood in line for a salad (so embarrassed to admit) for close to 30 minutes the other day. Order ahead! Wish there was a bit more seating in the location too. Otherwise, ingredients here are fresh and the service is quick once you get to the front of the line. Go for the Kale Caesar, as the kale here isn't as awful as most places. Cheese crisps in the salad should be sold by the bag. read more

I've tried 5 bowls from sweetgreen: 2 were good (shroomami and winter squash). Another 2 were disappointing/underwhelming (chickpea curry and I don't remember). The last is the harvest bowl, which is SO GOOD. I've ordered it so many times, and love it so much I've recreated the salad at home. The reason for the 3 stars is that 1. Sweetgreen is overpriced. The portion sizes are tiny compared to what you pay for. You also barely get ANY meat - I usually end up eating half of my salad, then saving the rest to eat at home, where I add in my own chicken. 2. The bowls can be hit or miss. The chickpea curry was truly an underwhelming salad with the blandness that embodies every negative connotation associated with a "salad." read more

The staff at this location are super genuine!! The day before my bday I spent quite a few hours at the mall and was beyond hungry!! Pondering where to get something somewhat healthy for dinner immediately thought of Sweetgreens!! I was at the other Tysons location so I called to place an order- unfortunately I didn't get the name of the nice guy I spoke with but he took my order and when I requested no onions in my guacamole salad he immediately asked what substitute I would like instead- no other Sweetgreens has asked me this until I request for them to put another topping in place of the onion- so kudos to him!! I asked him the best place to park at Tysons and he said **in the covered area closest to Legal Seafoods- drove over and found a spot and walked up to the Sweetgreens and the great staff all wished me a happy birthday!!! I love Sweetgreen, I think their salads taste great and the menu items are well thought-out. That being said, this review is for service. I've been here three separate times and something goes wrong every time. It's either some slightly wilted lettuce, they've run out of ingredients, they've run out of bread, or a really crabby person behind the counter. This isn't a gourmet restaurant so my expectations are low, but alot of their issues could be resolved if they tried a little harder. I used to work on a Subway sandwich line, so I know that inventory control, advanced prep work, and strong management is essential. Something tells me that the staff here are just kind of lazy. If you're jonesin for some Sweetgreen, skip this location and visit the Mosaic location instead. They are consistently better. read more

Sweetgreen has become one of my go-tos for a quick and healthy lunch option in Tysons. They've got the staple salads that stay on the menu year round, they've got seasonal salads that showcase the seasons freshest ingredients, and you can customize your own salad down to how light or heavily dressed you want your salad. For an added health bonus, go online to create your salad and you can calculate the nutritional content and calories. The other benefit of going online is you can place your order and decide what time you want to pick it up. Zoom to the pickup line and bypass the ALWAYS long line. I highly recommend doing this. Go ahead and download the app too. You can enter your cc info into the app and they've got a device that scans the qr code on your phone to pay. It's also a rewards program so as you accrue money spent, I believe it's $100, you then get a free salad. Why not?? The spicy sabze is awesome and my year round go to. However right now the seasonal salads you'll want to eat every day are the watermelon feta (add chicken for some protein if you'd like), or the peach and goat cheese. They're delicious. And you'll fit into your skinny jeans even if you eat here with any frequency. I'd say the average salad is $10-12. read more

This is a welcome addition to Tysons Galleria. It's great to have a healthy, counter-service option. There's always a line too, which is a good sign. The employees are fast and are really, really friendly. I like that you can make your own salad, but you had better be ready to order it pretty quickly because of the line. Ingredients are fresh, and the prices are pretty reasonable. I like the variety of greens, and their chicken is actually flavorful and tender. Downsides - the eating area is awkward. Shoppers and people in the line are almost forced to stare at you because the tables have no dividers and face strange directions. Also, unlike Chop't, there aren't a lot of recommended salads, so you're almost forced to craft your own meal. It's a lot easier to order the universal "Santa Fe Fiesta" than to order romaine, tomatoes, avocados, black beans, chicken, tortilla strips.... you get it. Sweetgreen is exploding! Since their modest opening in 2007, this simple salad shop offering locally sourced, organic ingredients has become so popular that they have expanded into four different regions. Now located in the DC metro area, Massachusetts, New York, and Pennsylvania, it isn't uncommon to see lines around the block to get into some of these locations. So there I was walking through the Tysons Galleria mall and, lo and behold, a Sweetgreen opened up right in the middle of the mall near Macy's. It was noon on a Monday and it was packed. I ordered my usual Spicy Sabzi salad because I heart it. It is loaded with baby spinach and shredded kale with spicy quinoa, spicy broccoli, carrots, raw beets, basil, sprouts, and roasted tofu. Such a great mix! This time I switched out the carrot chili dressing for the lemon tahini and it was so good. A winning combo! I also tried one of their Sweetpress drinks, which are fresh, cold-pressed juices. The energize is my favorite so far with carrot, orange, grapefruit, ginger, and cayenne, it has more of a carrot flavor with the spiciness of cayenne. These drinks are very expensive though at $9.50 for a single serving, but cold-pressed (not heated) drinks have a very short shelf-life and are loaded with nutrients so anytime you need a nutritional boost, I highly recommend cold-pressed juice if you can find it. I also noticed they had an organic lentil soup that is vegan as well. I'll have to try this next time. So -- great job, Sweetgreen, on getting into Tysons Galleria! That just makes the dreaded shopping trip a little brighter. read more

Loved the avocobbo! we split one salad and it was extremely filling. Fresh greens and reasonably light dressing. I would come here more if there was one close to work. I much prefer sweetgreen over chop't. the chicken was tender and not dry. crunchy greens. I don't like bacon and they allow substitutions so that's a perk as well. egg actually tastes like an egg and not rubbery. overall a great salad. if only they'd open one near metro center. read more

Quite good salad compared to other fast food salad. There are some issues with it: 1) the leaves portion is too big compared to the portion of toppings. 2) the staff would ask you whether you need "heavy", "regular" or "light" dressing, but the "regular" is not well defined. In my opinion, the "regular" should be different for different salad/dressing combinations instead of a universal amount. So you might need to adjust the amount of dressing yourself based on your type of salad and type of dressing of your choice. read more

This place never has their quinoa cooked properly, they give u crunchy quinoa that could break your teeth. Iv been here at least 7 times and all 7 times the quinoa was crunchy and hard. Also the employees have no idea what the sauces are made of. They just blindly say everything is organic. (Check the board, local doesn't mean organic) but the employees insist it's organic. The lines are super long at lunchtime, but I've always used the online ordering/pick up, and not only has my meal always been ready when I arrived, there's never been an error in my order. We work in the galleria and order online every day . Recently the salads have been so inconsistent. The salads have been missing the dressing and when I went to pick up and checked the order the girl put 1/4 of the container filled. The Bok Choy was missing and when I asked for some I received a foamy Bok Choy that was not rinsed. Not to mention the brown and long stemmed cilantro.
