This is not too complicated. I've lived across the street from this place since it first opened, but I tended to shy away from it because, during Covid, especially, it was largely responsible for our block being overrun with double-parked cars and delivery guys on scooters and motorized bikes who simply rode wherever the hell they felt like riding and were a menace to pedestrians. Still, they seemed to do a pretty substantial business, so I figured they must be doing something right. This evening I decided to try them. I ordered my food online, and walked in fifteen minutes later to pick it up. There were four people working there: two women making salads for a couple of walk-in customers at the salad bar, one women and one man in the back. After I'd stood at the empty check-out counter for four or five minutes, the woman in the back came over and greeted me warmly. "Name?" she said. I told her my name, and without a word, she handed me my order. She clearly hates her job, but I don't need this kind of incivility in a business. As for the "fish taco" salad, the greens were pretty tasty, and the fish was simply inedible. I won't be crossing back across the street any time soon. read more

"You should give them negative stars," my sister said. After explaining how this was not possible, I agreed with her disappointment in this place. To begin, ordering is annoying because the menu is blocked by everyone standing in line. Then when I ordered my salad, I watched it being made alongside two others at the same time and by at least four people. It made me anxious to see the worker grabbing all different ingredients, thinking he was messing up my salad only to soon see it was going in a different one. There was so many different people's hands flying all over that a pair of tongs was dropped on the floor and a scoop of hummus was passed around only to be put back in the bowl after finding out no one needed it. It is SO disorganized it's ridiculous. After it took four people to make my salad, I took my wild child bowl and ran out of there. It was pretty good but I wasn't able to taste the spinach because the entire salad was drenched in dressing. My sister was angry with her salad as well; one reason being they had no almonds left. And they had no other nuts to substitute for it. I also disliked that the to-go bowls were placed in the metal mixing bowls. At other salad places, I usually see the lettuce put straight into the mixing bowl and then back once it's mixed. Yes I like this place. It has a large seating area , outside seating, delicious drinks, kind staff, clean bathrooms but the portins seem smaller than other locations. I visited two days in the row. The first day I did not have breakfast took my time and ate my fish taco salad to stay. It came in a ceramic bowl. That portion was actually larger than the one on the next day. I love sweetgreen; especially their Kale Caesar. I hadn't been here in a while and one of those bad boys was long overdue. I went with a few friends for a late lunch and I've only got two problems with this location; 1. The tables/seating area isn't clean: there are wet/damp spots in various places on most of the tables and crumbs galore. 2. Terrible Cell service: I always struggle to access my sweetgreen app when inside the restaurant, much less make a call or send a text. There is NO way to contact the store to correct the situation (new salad or refund). You have to text a mainline, and they never responded. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken salad with avocado and egg. It only came with 3 pieces of chicken, 3 cherry tomatoes, less than a teaspoon of blue cheese, and no dressings. Don't risk it. Not worth the $25 I will never see again, or the hour I spent waiting for my dinner. Update: They finally responded an hour later. They only agreed to provide me future credits if I would agree to download their app, create an account, and order from them again in the future. Very attentive, never lounging around and not acknowledging you, very heavy handed with the salads so you get a little extra, they get along and always work well together. Sweetgreen used to be my spot for the last three years. I will come here and get salads and spend over $20 on a salad with salmon in it. I haven't been here in about six months came here because I was craving a salad got rid of the pickled carrots and now I have pickles. Are you guys serious who eats pickles on a salad? The portions are getting ridiculously small for the price. I just went in and got a salad with no meat and spent 15 bucks. This is absolutely crazy sweet of making my own salad at home and coming to get you guys delicious dressing because the dressing is amazing I will not be coming back this weekend or supporting or no longer. Great salad option in Williamsburg! Now I will never understand the hype over Sweetgreen. The ingredients are pretty much the same as Cop't or Just Salad. I will admit that I'm addicted to the spicy broccoli and spicy cashew dressing (if you like thai peanut sauce, you have to get this, it will change your salad game). Service here is quick and polite. Officially obsessed with sweetgreen. This location is super busy but the staff is always really nice and friendly. No matter how busy they are, I feel like they always ask me how I'm doing/how my day is going. Sometimes the line gets fairly long (stretching to the door, maybe 15-20 people deep), so I decided to download the app. Now I can order my salad at work and it'll be ready by the time I walk over. Perfecto. They're generous with the ingredients, too and everything tastes so good. I know what you're thinking, "it's just salad." Just Salad kind of tastes/smells like plastic though. Not here. And love that so many of the ingredients are locally sourced. The rotating salad/bowl menu is my jam. I've had the curry cauliflower, shroomami, pesto portobello, and rad thai. They're all great! Quick notes: Great variety of food choices (options ranging from meat to vegan). Decent-ish prices. Decent service although the line felt chaotic and scattered. ONLY card, no cash. Service was good. Friendly enough employees but the line itself was chaotic. I tried to follow my salad but by the time the girl with the dressings grabbed my bowl, there were still four people waiting on theirs. I had to squish in between people to yell to her 'medium amount of vinaigrette, please!' which was rather annoying. It just felt like there wasn't a rhyme or reason to the line. I always have lunch at the Nolita SG location and I'm never disappointed. Why is everyone in Williamsburg SG so angry? Some of the staff look absolutely miserable to be working the line. No smile or anything, just stone-cold faces while ordering. They take their time walking around behind the counter while the line is reaching the door. They put together the salad really sloppy, too. Ingredients fly all over the place as they're mixing it. They throw a lid on and push you to the register. This has happened more than once. Food quality seems fine but the portions are affected by how lazily they mix the salads. Nolita SG is out the door from about 12-3pm on a daily basis and I've never had bad service even when they're swamped. It's disappointing because there are some times when I'm not in Nolita that I want SG but the location sucks enough to avoid it read more

This is the first time I've had a sweetgreen salad at this location. I usually get it from the Columbia University location and they are drastically different . . . which makes no sense at all. Firstly: This location uses the cardboard container for all salads, typically the one at Columbia uses those for the ingredients that are hot yet this place uses it for everything. Secondly: This location does not use the mixing bowls and as such, they mix badly and as they mix on your cardboard container all your ingredients are falling out onto the table. This is outrageous!! Thirdly: The portion size is super small. I believe that the staff is trying to do everything so fast that they don't ensure to throw in the correct amount of ingredients in your cardboard container. Additionally, the above section of this comment is another reason why the portion size is small - it's all getting tossed out when they are mixing it. THAT'S WHY THEY NEED TO USE THE MIXING BOWLS!! I highly recommend the manager of this place to train its staff properly, or to go get trained first at the Columbia University location -that is a great sweetgreen location. This one isn't. I especially love the Roasted turkey, sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts salad which is a season option from Sweetgreen. This location is really nice and the staff is friendly. I have a bit of a salad obsession due to Sweet Green. Every time I order the exact same thing - Harvest Bowl (kale, apples, sweet potato, goat cheese, chicken, almonds) with a dressing substitute of Spicy Cashew (mind blowing!) instead of the balsamic. The line at this location can be a bit daunting but to be fair moves at a rapid pace. The staff while SUPER friendly- can get a little chaotic behind the counter making it a bit hard to stay with your particular salad when it's busy. I'm a huge fan of their rewards app which gives you $9 for every $99 spent. It also speeds up the checkout process allowing you to scan your phone as payment, instead of traditional cash or card. If eating during lunch hour during the week and in any sort of rush, I would recommend using the app and ordering ahead, as this is when it's the most busy -only difference is your dressing comes on the side instead of mixed in. I've definitely had some mix ups happen but they are always willing to accommodate / fix! also the WIFI is pretty good + the AC is always blaring during the summer months. read more
