This was the first time KGB 101 was having a DSC (Dave, Shelly, & Chainsaw) Ladies Night. Our group of 4 were the first ladies in line for the event. We were strategically planning which booths to visit AFTER we enjoyed complimentary bites! This is where I went wrong... AHN was the only Brow/ Makeup booth. The event was from 7- 10pm. I waited in line for an hour & fifteen minutes. And my turn came at 9:30pm. Now, let me give you a rundown on my caterpillars. I had microblading done literally one year ago. And, as we know- this is not a permanent treatment. My blading strokes were fading. Since I knew there was a brow booth for Ladies Night- I didn't bother to do jack shit to my brows. I could've easily been mistaken for the Yeti's cousin. When it's my turn, I lay down on AHN's table & she adjusts her light to take a look at my brows. She asks politely, "What's goin on here?" I give her the rundown of my microblading & how I don't bother getting them waxed at the nail salons- because they usually end up having my brows look like a chola. We laugh about our chola days. She commented how the microblading gave my brows a different shape than what she'd think would look. I tell AHN, I'm open to suggestions. As she preps my brows- she leans in & politely says," At least, tweeze your fucken brows". I died laughing! Within 15 minutes- she transformed my brows w- makeup & waxing, and eyebrow trimming. My jaw dropped! Yes, it was worth the hour plus wait! Even though it's a mini expo, per se- I had to tip $15!!! She worked miracles!

The lady that ended up assisting me, Sunira noticed that I was there before the other two ladies. I told her that I wanted my eyebrows cleaned and she did an okay job. When I looked back in the mirror when she was finished I had something brown on my face. It was not there when I walked in! She wiped it and said she didn't have anything on her hands. When I checked in, I asked if any of providers I saw on Google were there and Sabin was! She was kind, gentle, and very attentive. I told her all of my areas of concern and she provided a plan for me. She threaded my brows, and waxed my armpits and chin. While I was waiting for her, I saw a lot of other people getting their eyebrows tinted. I was curious about the process so I asked and based on her response I was confident enough to try it. It was a great experience! My Biggest concern was the tint being too dark. Typically the darker you go, the longer the tint will last, but I had events that week and I didn't want my eyebrows looking crazy dark. I expressed that to Sabin she told me that she could give me a lighter tint that would look natural. I was a bit nervous, but it was perfect! It lasted me about ~ two weeks. If I have a period of time where I don't have to go out in the public thenmaybe I'll get the darker tint but the natural tint she did for me was great. I'll definitely be back! The waxing was quick and painless. Total I believe my visit cost me around 60 bucks including tip. They do sell products at the front and I was convinced to buy the wipes for my eyebrows. I don't really think they were necessary as you could just use a dental gentle napkin or cloth to wipe your brows daily. They are located in a smaller lot so parking can be tricky, but I was able to find a spot just fine. The place itself was clean and they have about eight seats for services and a long bench in the waiting area for guest.

I truly have enjoyed the service at this salon and have gone multiple times. However, this last visit there has changed my mind. I made and appointment and went there on a Tuesday and they only had two other customers there. I signed up for the free text info which is great. I was excited to see that this salon now had the massage chairs and was looking forward to getting my spa pedi. Upon arrival, I was told that if I had a basic pedi, I couldn't have it done in the new chairs. I also noticed that before in the "basic area" there was spa for your feet. Now, they are just plain ceramic foot bowls. I was a bit taken back as clearly there were plenty of the spa chairs not occupied. I do not plan on returning. I can go across the street and get a basic pedi with the spa foot bath and a comfortable chair - not pillows against a wall and a basic foot sink. Totally turned off by this. read more

My pedicure was okay. Before she even put the top coat on, I could see a missed spot on my toes bc there was no dry time between coats. Fresh "builder gel" set and pedicure with tip came out to ~$130. I only returned a second time out of sheer curiosity bc I wanted to see how they would do a BUILDER GEL refill on a POLY GEL set. But they used poly gel again. I wanted this simple line work design. Idk how much they charged bc I wasn't told and their receipts are not itemized. There is also no pricing list / menu available to customers. A refill with the design and tip came out to $115. I cannot bring myself to come back to this salon.
