But I will just update to say, the cake slice I had recently was beyond moist and dense. I really have never experienced anything like this, lol. It was practically wet. It was a little much for me. I consider myself an expert of sorts on all things cake or cupcake and have a great appreciation for other baked treats. This place is a fantastic find and has so much to offer. The staff I encountered on my first visit was very friendly and helpful. I picked out treats for my family that included a cinnamon roll the size of my head and a pecan sticky bun that was warm and oooey gooey. A large warm chocolate chip cookie, a ginormous oatmeal cream pie, and my favorite which was a lovely piece of coconut icebox cake. Everything was wonderful! The warm cookie and coconut cake were my fav and I highly recommend. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. read more

Was visiting town and swung by to grab a treat for the kids. Best cinnamon rolls we've had in a while! Plus friendly and quick service.

This was our first time going to this new bakery in town. It was late so it wasn't very busy but they did have a good amount of people in there. We ordered a cinnamon roll and a sticky bun. They where the size of a regular size plate. They where huge. They both very very good as we heated them up for bread today. We also got a rice crispy treat and a slice of peanut butter pie. All where very good. This is a great place to give a try. You will love it. read more

The treats were delicious. Everything tasted just right and not too sweet. This bakery is located in a wonderful area as well. The ambiance just feels so peaceful. You can either enjoy your treat inside the bakery or outside the bakery and have a nice experience. The service was amazing and the staff were helpful. Always super friendly have to stop by when we get our sushi. The cake pops are great snacks and the hummingbird is to die for. The warm pasties the sticky buns and cookie warm your soul with just the smell alone. The paw cakes are also great the kid with paws love it. Was up Yelp I'm back! First to start my Monthly rant off with the new guy on the block. They pretty much took the place of Amorosa's bakery that used to be at the palladium. The staff were amazing, but the goods were average. Cake was a 7 out of 10. But aye, it's a quick fix if you're in the mood for something sweet and it's convenient. Definitely not my last rodeo maybe I'll try the Red Velvet That was calling my name next time.. lol read more

Stopped in with my mother a few days ago as we were having a fun day out shopping and wanted something sweet to take home for later. Both of us had an extremely hard time deciding. EVERYTHING looked amazing. She got a slice of strawberry cake and I had a slice of tiramisu cake. Both were amazing. The cake was fluffy, moist and tender. The icing tasted like mascarpone tiramisu filling and the cake was soaked with delicious coffee. Homemade lady fingers lined the outside of this cake. I highly recommend this cake flavor. The sweet dough bakeshop is my favorite bakery in town! Everything I've had has been incredible. The sticky buns, ooey-gooey cookies, clouds, and much are is highly recommended. Yummy place to grab a sweet treat! Peanut butter bar was kind of like peanut butter balls we make at christmas. Blueberry cloud tasted good, but was really runny. I have had before and it was thicker like a no bake cheesecake. Coconut icebox cake is good, was the second time I've had it. Great little bakery! So cute with all of the pink stuff!! I came with some of my boys but I'm looking forward to coming back with my girls! I know they will love it! They had some gluten free options. And those macarons were top notch. Definitely one of the top two places I've been to for macs. The white chocolate mac was my favorite. Next time I'll get more than one! And I'll also snap some pics I have celiac and it's been a few hours and no reaction. They do have warnings posted that they can't guarantee no cross contamination. I had a caramel fudge brownie and a chocolate chip cookie as well. Both were delicious. I'm not big on super chocolaty stuff so the brownie wasn't something I'd get again for myself, it was super sweet and overly chocolate/fudge. I fell in love with their sticky buns. For the first several times that were huge with lots of topping and nuts. The last two visits they were 30% smaller, pale in color, and far fewer pecans. So disappointing. I asked if there was a new baker and was told yes. It was obvious. Consistency is not there with the chocolate walnut cookie. Once again size is wildly different and that changes texture I'd like to return to 5 stars. Please return to previous excellence. read more

I've been wanting to try this place out since they opened! So excited they're close by (my wallet and my diet probably aren't going to be to happy with that though)... The owner was super helpful in describing the menu items and what an ice box cake was and a cloud cake... Bakery items i've never heard of! I decided to go with the lemon cake ball and the Oreo brownie. Couldn't get pictures quick enough because I devoured them as soon as I got home. Let me just say... the brownie was HUGE. My sister got the Oreo cupcake and the red velvet cupcake. Of course I had to steal a bite of each and oh my gosh that was the most moist cupcake I have had from a bakery in a very long time! It tasted so fresh and was not dry at all. You can definitely tell everything is homemade. I have a major sweet tooth and I definitely have a feeling I'll be back! I noticed they even had a paleo option available if that's something you're looking for. So many different things to choose from to please just about anyone. The inside decor was super cute and inviting. I also noticed thag the inside was really clean too which I appreciated! They had a cute photo-op station for kids with hay and fall decorations too. I'll definitely be back to try other items and I failed to mention they had a lot of coffee/drink options for adults and for the kiddos too! OMGoodness, my family and I visited this place while out of town and it was amazing! Everything looked so good that of course we had to try multiple items. We decided on three cupcakes; strawberry, peanut butter, and carrot cake, a chocolate chip cookie, a slice of carrot cake, and cinnamon roll bread pudding. The cupcakes and slice of carrot cake were all good in their own way. The chocolate chip cookie was just like we like it; crunchy around the edges and soft in the center. Most importantly let me tell you about this cinnamon roll bread pudding. It was the best thing we had and was well worth the cheat day from dieting. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town to try some of the other goodies they have to offer. read more

I have lived in the Triad for 20 years and Sweet Dough Bakery is the BEST BAKERY EVER!!!! It even beats Delicious. Everything is SO FRESH and SO YUMMY!! My favorites are the Ooey-Gooey Cookies, Sticky Buns, Cinnamon Bread Pudding and Hand Pies. Trying the cupcakes tomorrow. The owner & employees are a Delight to Work with.
