The pastel rainbow, flowers, butterflies, soft pink and green details, and the "Welcome Baby Girl" lettering all came together perfectly. It was elegant, sweet, and whimsical without being overdone. It honestly became one of the centerpieces of the entire shower, and we received so many compliments on it. Beyond her talent, Christina was just an incredibly wonderful person to work with. I came to her on a relatively quick turnaround and with a budget I needed to stay within. She listened to me, worked with me, and was extremely accommodating throughout the entire process. There was never any pressure or difficulty--just kindness, cooperation, and a genuine desire to make sure we were happy. What impressed me most was how humble she was. Christina is clearly very talented, but she carries herself with such kindness and sincerity. Still, I found a couple of nice items (red velvet and some serious chocolate cake) my wife loved the chocolate but we found the red velvet to be quite dry and hard. I suspect that it had been in the case far too long. Fortunately the chocolate was so good, my wife said that it more than made up for it. Overall, the ambiance was simple bakery, nice folks, serving well. I suspect where these nice folks shine is in pre-orders (which makes TOTAL sense, as foot traffic, particularly in this bakery's location would be a tough sell indeed). I suspect that we will be keeping Dessert European Cakes and Pastries in mind for our upcoming bakery needs.
