Suá Chicken & Rice and Osmanthus Matcha
Kyla E.

Came by on a Thursday Morning, pretty calm, more people started coming in close to 11 am. The place is very aesthetically pleasing, they have asian groceries, sides, some pottery/homegoods from asian creators for sale etc. I ordered the Suá chicken rice and osmanthus matcha. The matcha surprised me actually it was better than I would have expected, great sweetness and matcha quality! As a lover of chicken rice, the scallion-ginger oil, sauces, and the Fly by Jing Chili Oil was a very nice touch. The rice could definitely be more fragrant and the chicken itself needs the sauces for flavor. Parking can be tricky here if you're not lucky or you come after 11:00 am. There is wifi, prices are pretty high, and service is standard but overall I enjoyed and would come back again!

Vanilla Bean Matcha

Amazing decor. Ordered their vanilla bean matcha, it was exactly what I needed. Great nice blend and taste!

My wife and I stopped here for a cold black sesame matcha. Definitely a rich, refreshing, flavorful pick-me-up drink on a hot summer day. As it was a really hot day, the cafe was a very nice place to hang out and relax to escape the heat. The decor is stylish with a nice use of wood and concrete, plants, and space, and the chairs and tables are comfortable to sit at. The staff was very friendly. They sold already prepared meals in a refrigerated display area. The food looked good ---- something I might try on a future visit.

Visited this location because of a pop up and was able to sample a featured drink. The space is fairly large as there is space for seating and a couple of seats outside. They have a wide range menu for a cafe and even serve other snacks and beverages to purchase. I tried the aura reset drink that had coconut water, aloe Vera, mint, rose and a butterfly pea flower matcha cold foam and it was....different. Unfortunately the more and more I sipped, it wasn't that tasty and I had to purchase the drink for a freebie which was ($9). The staff were nice and informative and that enhanced the experience and ofc the owner of Mara was sweet welcoming and friendly. I would recommend that when cafes do collabs they don't force you to purchase a particular drink based on dietary restrictions or preferences and make it "with any purchase" just so it's doesn't feel like you wasted money on a drink you don't finish because it was nasty. I would gladly return to try other menu items since this was a featured drink that doesn't reflect the quality of their other drinks.

This is the cutest little cafe and market serving up grab n go meals, matcha and coffee plus curated retail goods. Located in Larchmont Village, I've never visited a spot quite like Sua Superette. As the meme goes " I'm in a very Chinese time of my life" and I feel like this cafe and market really embodies that but in a very modern and LA way I got a black sesame matcha and it was one of the most delicious drinks. I'm obsessed and hope I can come back soon and try out some of their grab n go foods.

Black Sesame Matcha Latte

How did I just discover this place!! This is legit Matcha heaven!!! I ordered the black sesame matcha with pistachio milk and it is legit my new favorite drink in town. It's such a gorgeous place & high quality ingredients - I'm sad I don't live closer...

Suá Superette is a modern, Asian-inspired cafe and market in Los Angeles known for its healthy, grab-and-go Sichuan Chinese food made with organic, local ingredients, offering options that are dairy-free, refined-sugar-free, and often gluten-free and nut-free. It features a minimalist aesthetic and serves dishes like crispy chicken, mapo tofu, and various noodle bowls, alongside coffee and unique drinks like matcha lattes. Service was fast and quick and the place was very clean and spacious with plenty of seating areas.

What We Ordered: -Black Sesame Latte $7.00 -Strawberry Matcha Latte $8.00 My wife saw a recommendation for this Sichuan coffee shop on Red Note, and since we have different coffee shop preferences, I wasn't sure what to expect. I decided to give it a try. Edwin, the barista, was incredibly warm and friendly, and his recommendations of the Strawberry Matcha Latte and Black Sesame Latte were spot on. I particularly enjoyed the Black Sesame Latte; it was a unique twist on a classic, unlike anything I've had in the States. The latte was good overall. I also appreciated the grab-and-go options with their cooler stocked with drinks, snacks, and sandwiches. The space was beautiful, but the limited seating and long stays of some customers made it hard to find a place to sit. Overall, I'm glad we checked it out, but while the drinks were decent, they didn't really impress me. I wouldn't be rushing back.

Cappuccino and Mara Aura Matcha Reset
Taylor M.

This place was so vibey and cute. We got a cappuccino and the seasonal Aura Reset which was refreshing and not overly sweet. The staff was kind and friendly and made being there pleasant. I would definitely go back and try some of the food because it looked delicious.

Ordered: Mala Matcha (comes w cream top) I want to love this place because of their creative menu & unique drink flavors, but unfortunately they did not execute. The matcha was good quality & the mala sensation came through, but the drink itself was lacking. The cream top was more like a cold foam (which I'm fine with cold foam) but it didn't pair well with the drink at all. Maybe add the mala syrup to the yuzu matcha drink & omit the cream top for a better pairing? Note: The size is smaller than typical in LA for the price.

I always walk by this place in my way to my skin laundry appointment but never stop in . Today was my first time here and this place is so cute it always caught my eye. They have coffees, expressos, matches and more. The have packaged salads, pasta, chicken with an Asian flare. The aesthetic is too cute and cozy and modern... I love it.. so hip and cool. Such a cool place to hang for a quick bite and drink in the go. I was welcomed with a warm greeting and the service was great.

Organic Jade Rice Congee
Katelyn N.

It was my first time visiting Sua and it was disappointing to say the least. I ordered the chicken and rice, organic rice congee, cucumber salad, and matcha latte with pistachio milk to go. My friend enjoyed the chicken and rice and cucumber salad. I got the congee which was so disappointing. The congee was drenched in soy/salty sauce. The picture was taken after I dumped some of the sauce out, only to see that the bottom of the cup is also drenched in sauce. It looks nothing like the photos when I ordered online or on yelp. When I called the shop to tell them about this, the person that answered my call seemed to know that my congee was done poorly.. but still decided to send me home with it. The matcha latte with pistachio milk was $10 and I couldn't tell if the pistachio milk made a difference. It was good, but tasted like a regular matcha that should've been $6.

Strawberry Matcha Latte

Their yuzu matcha is so refreshing I normally go there for the their grab n go dessert/sweets (mochi brownie, chocolate tofu pudding, pastries), unique and delicious!

Reviews are mixed. Many highlight the friendly and welcoming staff, inviting and modern space, and creative matcha drinks. The grab-and-go food options are also appreciated.

The restaurant has plenty of seating and walk-ins are welcome. I would maybe recommend making a reservation on a weekend because it can get busy for late dinner. I ordered a mojito to drink which was good. They made a snail out of the lime on my glass which was fun touch. We started with spring rolls and pan-fried dumplings for an appetizer. Both were very good! For the main dish, we ordered green beans, shrimp fried rice, lo main, and their famous slippery shrimp. Everything is very good but the best by far are the green beans and slippery shrimp!!!! We ordered another plate of slippery shrimp to take home, it's that good. The kitchen is quick and the food comes out when it's hot vs waiting till everything is done. The location of the restaurant is in the heart of Chinatown so it's all street parking. They do have valet parking out front on the left side of the restaurant. Overall I love this restaurant and highly recommend coming here for the SLIPPERY SHRIMP!

Parking can be a bear, but there are lots for a fee. It is safe and fun. Yang Chow has been there forever and they have the best fried rice and soup. They just don't serve bad food. They never rush you, but get your food out fast. We always get a bunch for the table and share. Their Sizzling Platter with Scallops is one of our favorited dishes and their Szechuan Chicken is so good. Their Pan Fried Dumplings and their spring rolls are a must. Have a great time in Chinatown.

I really enjoyed the dimly lit Hong Kong style bar. Food arrived pretty promptly after we ordered but we did get an array of hot and cold items. Flavors were fabulous. Fish potstickers had a delightful crunch and savory, flavorful filling. Shrimp shumai have a nice bite with plenty of filling. Our chili oil noodles had a great texture and wasn't too spicy. When we walked in, the restaurant was practically empty, with only a couple of individual customers dining. The gentleman behind the bar greeted us and directed us to a two-person table. We approached the table, but since it was arranged so that we would be sitting across from each other, I gestured toward the adjacent four-person table because we preferred to sit next to one another. The gentleman reiterated that we should sit at a two-person table. His female coworker then stepped in, and when my partner politely asked whether we could sit at the four-person table instead, explaining that I wanted us to sit beside each other, her response came with an unnecessary attitude. She explained that although the restaurant wasn't busy at the moment, they needed to keep the table available in case more customers arrived. I completely understand wanting to manage seating and accommodate future customers. That's not the issue. It was the dismissive delivery and the way such a simple, polite request was handled that made the interaction uncomfortable. At that point, we decided not to dine there and left. We came in genuinely excited to try the food, but the customer service alone was enough to make us walk right back out. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one wasn't a good one.

I am swooning over Woon!…read more I have not had good chinese food in so long, Woon did it for me. Chicken wings- I loved these chicken wings, these remind me of my childhood and ordering wings from chinese takeout places. One of the waiters comes and asks if we were ready for to go boxes. I would understand if we would just be talking or showing any signs we were done.. so I told him no... we were still eating... he apologized and walked away. My friend comes back sits down and continues to eat. That same waiter comes back and asks us if we can scoot more to the left ( we were sitting in one of the long tables closest to the register) as they had a big party coming in.. okay fine.. we understood.. and we moved more left and I was already at the edge of the bench... we continue eating and talking... guess what... that same waiter comes back again to tell us if we would move AGAIN pointing to a stool next to me.. because there was a big group coming in... at this time I was fkn annoyed as hell... but my best friend is wayyyy calmer and nicely tells me she will sit on the stool so I didnt have to move again. Fine... she moves.. AGAIN... and we go on eating... that annoying waiter saw I was pissed.. supposedly apologized by giving us two small cups of beer ( which I don't drink).. again... the group started arriving and sitting next to us... keep in mind we were already sitting at the corner of the stupid table.... then guess what...... another waitress comes and asks us AGAIN if we would move to the other stools on the side of the table because they had a huge party and didn't fit and they wanted to make sure we were "comfortable " or if we would move tables... at this point I was fkn pissed... i snapped at her and said no... we have been trying to have dinner and another waiter already pretty much told us to go then since i said we didn't need to go boxes came TWICE to make us move!!! That what was there problem... supposedly she acted surprised that she didn't know someone else had come to try to move us but that they just wanted to make sure we were "comfortable " due to the huge group coming in and we would be better if we moved... i was so livid.. i told her no!! We were not done eating... already was inconvenienced twice by moving me and I just wanted to be left ALONE!!! Again another apology... and to eat comfortably and no rush... SERIOUSLY.... IF NO FKN RUSH WHY TRY MOVES US FROM THE TABLE just to accommodate other people... we were sat there first.... we were actually trying to have dinner.... why the fk come and try make us leave for a group that didn't fit together? Excuse me? Is that our fault?? Were they fk VIP and thats why you had to come move us 3 times to accommodate them!!! The people who didn't fit at the table with their group should be sat somewhere else!! Not our fault they didn't fit together.... at this point I was wayyy to fkn pissed... my bff tried to calm me down.. tell me it's okay... but no... its not OKAY.... they new it was two of us and sat us there... we were also PAYING CUSTOMERS..... fkn annoying.... the female waiter came back and again apologized and said due to what happened our dinner would be complimentary and refunded our money.. also if we wanted anything else to let them know.... for what... so we get told if we wanted to go boxes while we were eating or to be asked to move again to inconvenience us to accommodate other people just arriving... those refunded 40 dollars did NOT take away the sour experience... i used to love this place and took anyone who came to visit me... but hey grate news!!! I will no longer ever go again so YOU GUYS don't have to tell me to sit in one place then asked to be moved 4 times!!!! So fkn annoyed I didn't finish eating and left my food.. my bff took hers.. but WTF was that...
