We went thru the drive thru. The whole menu is not posted outside but when we drove up they handed us a menu. We ordered and got our food within 5 mins. There is a fee if you go thru the drive thru, but I was impressed with how fast we got our food. We went home and ate. Our food was delicious! We were very happy and will be back. One of the better breakfast places in rosemount.

Right when you walk in you'll be a little lost because the sign that said "find your own clean table" was hidden so my group and I stood around for a bit until someone greeted us. The hash browns were really soggy and not crispy at all, but everything else was good. Service was on the slower end but the food came out fast so that's good.

Corned beef hash...uhhhh it's sliced deli meat.

They also have a lovely patio area but it was 100 degrees out so we opted to eat inside. We were seated in the lower booth area by the windows by a very friendly hostess. The area itself was fairly quiet which was nice. Our waiter was friendly, personable, and prompt. When asked questions he was helpful. My husband had a Veggie burger with fries and I had Fish Tacos (GF). Food was served quickly and it was hot. Portions are good sizes for the price. The burger and fries were not too salty but seasoned well and my only recommendation I would give is to put a bit more "bang bang' on the shrimp taco otherwise, we had a very good and delicious lunch and we will be back because your service and food is pretty awesome!

Oh boy...where to start? I guess I will start with the pros…read more First, I always like to mention what day and time I visited a restaurant. I decided to get takeout for lunch on a Monday afternoon. I have been on a kick lately trying Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwiches, or in Barley and Vine's case, the Tennessee Hot Chicken Sandwich. That was the main reason I wanted to stop by for lunch. I placed a to-go order, but we have also dined inside several times before. Starting with the positives, the staff is always very friendly and welcoming. There is really no issue there. The staff is fantastic. The overall vibe and ambiance of the restaurant are incredibly nice as well. It leans toward a fancier, higher-end, upscale atmosphere. I honestly think that may be part of the reason several reviews are so positive and why people may perceive the food as being higher quality or better tasting. We have also had brunch here more than once. We are generally not brunch people, but we have really enjoyed the brunch items we have ordered in the past. I am hoping we can come back for brunch again, and maybe I can eventually write an updated review with a higher rating. So why only 3/5 stars? My most recent to-go visit left me incredibly disappointed. To start, the Tennessee "Hot" Chicken Sandwich is not hot at all. "Hot" is absolutely not the correct word to use. It should probably just be called a Tennessee Chicken Sandwich, and honestly, even using "Tennessee" or "Nashville" does not seem accurate. This seemed like a basic Fried Chicken Sandwich made from a frozen chicken filet with far more breading than actual chicken. It is not the most pleasant photo to look at, but I attached a picture of the partially eaten sandwich to this review. You can clearly see how little chicken meat there actually was. They put white BBQ sauce on the sandwich, but I do not really have anything particularly good or bad to say about it. It was just kind of there. It did not improve the sandwich, but it did not necessarily make it worse either. The fries were also just fine. They seemed to be lacking flavor and may have been slightly burnt. Speaking of overcooked, the chicken sandwich also tasted overcooked. Overall, the sandwich and fries were simply not very good. I would never order the sandwich again, and I would probably substitute the fries for a different side in the future. Another issue is the repeated delay with to-go orders. I have ordered takeout from Barley and Vine maybe three or four times, and every single time the order has been late. I usually arrive only one or two minutes before the scheduled pickup time. Sometimes I even wait in the parking lot because I do not want to arrive too early. Every single time, the order is not ready at the scheduled time. This time, I only had to wait about six minutes past the pickup time. However, during my previous to-go experience a few weeks earlier, I waited more than 15 minutes past the scheduled pickup time. This has also happened during other visits. Finally, everything usually comes down to whether the meal is worth the price. I paid $17.77 for the Tennessee Hot Chicken Sandwich with fries. That included a 48 cent credit card surcharge. They add a 3% surcharge to all credit card payments, which automatically leaves a bad taste in my mouth at any restaurant. It's not something they have to do, to support higher wages or whatever they want to tell you. It's something they CHOOSE to do. Other restaurants don't do, or they simply increase their menu prices 3%. Which I would rather have than yet another fee in this world. Regardless, the meal was simply not worth the price. The sandwich was not flavorful, was not spicy, did not contain enough chicken, and tasted overcooked. The fries also seemed overcooked and lacked flavor. It was not a good value. You could drive a little farther down the road to Dave's Hot Chicken and get a more flavorful meal, a larger portion, and a lower price. This review feels harsh, but I am hoping it comes across as constructive criticism if management happens to read it. Overall, I cannot recommend ordering takeout from Barley and Vine. I cannot recommend the Tennessee Hot Chicken Sandwich, and I do not particularly recommend the fries either. They were not absolutely terrible, but they were not great. I am still hoping to visit Barley and Vine again. I will likely avoid ordering takeout because it has consistently been a poor experience. However, I hope we have a better experience the next time we dine inside, and I will definitely be ordering something else.

The server came over and was very nice. They got us our waters and helped out with menu. We ordered some burgers and chicken and waffles along with a chicken caprese sandwich and hot chicken sandwich. For appetizers, we got the duck bacon wontons and firecracker shrimp. Also ordered two different kinds of Mac and Cheese, a kids meal and a lobster Mac and cheese. The kids ordered a strawberry lemonade, the rest of us just stuck with water. The food took a little while to come out but was hot and fresh. The reaper burger was cooked well and tasted well even without the bacon. He brought a tea sauce that they use for their wings which was really tasty and had a kick to it. It was habanero flavored creamy sauce. The caprese sandwich tasted good and the chicken was cooked well in all the dishes and not dry. The taste for both the chicken and waffles and Nashville hot sandwich was on point. The duck bacon wontons were fried perfectly with the gooey cream cheese and the duck bacon added the right amount of umami. The firecracker shrimps were the weakest of the items we ordered. While if was crispy and there were half a dozen shrimps, the flavor was very mild. The Mac and cheese was on point, especially the lobster one with a nice piece of lobster. Good flavors in the Mac and cheese. For dessert, we got the apple crisp skillet with a scoop of ice cream. Came out warm and was big enough to share. A little more cinnamon forward than I like but not too much. They were really trying hard but between opening just the week before and being super busy, they were having a hard time. But the helpful attitude and helpful attitude of the wait staff and the management went a long way to make our experience more enjoyable. I would give them a little time to sort out the initial 'new opening jitters' but it's a solid choice in an area that doesn't have a lot of options. We would check it out again if we are in the area. Hope they can get some of their service things figured out which I am sure they will.

We decided to go early since this location tended to be busy on a Saturday evening. We signed in online to the waiting list to eat at 4:00 pm (no reservations for this location). We showed up on time and got seated immediately. The wife and I got a couple of martinis, and asked for them on the rocks. They came in a martini glass, no ice. Still no big deal, but they were a bit small. We didn't order apps, but chowed on the fantastic homemade famous bread and cinnamon apple butter. We paced ourselves, and only got two total baskets since we didn't want to get too full. Yummo. My daughter ordered from the grown up ranger kid menu, and got the petite steak and steak fries. The wife got the tenderloin medallions with rice, a loaded baked potato, and broccoli. I got the 14 ounce Fort Worth ribeye with mashed potatoes and gravy, and a loaded chili (which I didn't eat but brought home). The food came out quickly, and the steak was cooked to order (the kiddo got it medium well, the wife medium well, and mine ordered medium). All in all the food was fantastic. The wife's medallions were super tender and spiked with a peppercorn topping. The kiddo said her steak needed more seasoning, but she polished off all of it. My ribeye was excellent, but I only ate a 1/4 of it since it was so rich, but very tender. I may or may not of helped my wife eat hers though. The kiddo ended the dinner with a nice fat piece of strawberry cheesecake. A bit skimpy of the strawberry topping, but the cheesecake was very good. All in all, the meal was very good, and the price of the meal was pretty on par for a working man's (person) steakhouse. The only hiccup of the night was when we left to go home. The dang SUV wouldn't start! We had two separate good Samaritans try to jump the battery, but no go. AAA was called (thanks sis! She lived a few minutes away). Turned out I needed a new battery. So $350.00, and two hours later, we finally made it back home. Expensive night out? Um yes. Stupid battery. But the food was great! We will come back to this location again. Just be aware that this place was pretty full, even at 4:00 pm, and it was LOUD! Good energy in the place though, and our server was excellent.

I don't think I have to go into details on how the food was because they were all delicious! You can make reservations and they have an app with a loyalty program. There often is a wait during dinner time, so if you can plan ahead I would make a reservation. Tavern Grill recently revamped their menu and they have some really great dishes! Some notable dishes: -- The Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps appetizer is SO fresh and flavorful! You can add on cashews and avocado. The avocado slices were so thick and fresh. The wonton strips were some of the best I've had -- so light and crispy. The thai peanut sauce on the chicken was fantastic and the ginger sauce had a pretty decent kick to it. -- The Chicken Skewers entree is my go-to dish. It's such a classic and it has consistently been good every time I've ordered it. The chicken is juicy and the peppers and onions have a nice charred grilled flavor. The garlic parmesan sauce complements the dish well. -- The Chicken Wild Rice Soup is on the chunkier side, which I enjoyed! It was nice and creamy and didn't skimp out on the wild rice. The Clam Chowder served on Fridays was a little too salty. -- The Skillet Cookie is so warm and gooey! The ice cream melts right into the warm cookie. The cookie is on the doughier side and the outside is on the softer side. It's almost the size of the entire plate, so it's easily shareable between a few people. -- The Fish Fry Basket doesn't taste too greasy, and the tarter sauce complements the fish well. The fish has a clean flavor and on Fridays you can get a refill of 4 pieces of fried fish for an additional $7.50. You can add on their seasoned sour cream for an additional cost. The seasoned sour cream is thick and adds so much flavor to the waffle fries. Last time I was there I received very friendly and attentive service from Sam.
