Wow wow wow. I happened to be staying in the area for work and was craving Italian and stumbled upon this cute little place. I am so glad i did! The quality of food was amazing. I had the ravioli and a house salad. Everything was so good i ended up getting pizza to go to eat the next day lol the owner is so kind and attentive. I cannot recommend this place enough. I went to Susy's Kitchen for lunch during break. I got the Avocado salad with house dressing. It was super fresh, and delightful during this hot weather. I also got the Spinach and ricotta entree and it was delicious. Everything was homemade and you can really feel the difference of how fresh and tasty it was. I had an overall great meal and left with leftovers. Service was also friendly, Susy is very kind and social, made me feel very welcomed. Price wise I think most would find it a bit on the higher side but for a healthy, fresh, authentic homemade meal it was worth it! read more

Our first time. We ordered Tuscan Chicken Pasta and Shrimp Scampi Pasta. It was "Wow" good. The sauces are very flavorful. Everything is cooked fresh. Susy is the hostess and the chef and is very good at both. The decor is minimalist but we enjoyed the relaxing music. We will be back to try other menu items. Excellent Italian!! What a surprising little gem. Get the gnocchi - pillowy and delicious in a rich but perfectly balanced sauce. The owner used to run a food truck on Highland Drive, but moved into a shop in Midvale. The decor of the restaurant is spare (for now) but warm and absolutely spotless. There's something about this spot that feels so nostalgic, and it's not just the airstream trailer. If you're craving a delicious, filling, home cooked meal, this is the place you need to be. My boyfriend had the gouda burger - and I quote - "5/5! Their burger is real 'good-a'." I ordered the lemon chicken sandwich (which is dark meat for those who are curious), and I love every bit of it! The chicken is perfectly cooked and juicy, and the aioli on top is to die for. I would eat it plain given the opportunity. The thick, wedge-cut home fries are perfectly cooked and so fresh- just as the other ingredients are. BUT GUYS. Lemme tell ya... The real winner here is the pizza. The crust is perfectly crispy, light, and soft. I'm not sure what she puts in the sauce, but this is the best pizza sauce I've ever had. It's SO fresh and SO flavorful. GET THE PIZZA! On top of that, Suzy (if it is named after her) is an absolute delight. She was kind and charming, and even treated us to a little dessert tasting. This woman knows how to make a dessert! The chocolate dessert is rich and luxurious - and not too sweet. Good chocolate doesn't need to be overly sweet! We will definitely be returning for the good vibes and the great food! If you're looking for something quick, don't opt for your typical fast food chains. From reading through the other reviews and from my experience yesterday, I would say it's going to be a crapshoot if you go there. I was surprised at the menu. Everything is $17 plus. You have to pay for bottled water. My friend and I wanted to split the avocado salad and you could tell Susie was not happy about that and let us know by her comments and body language. The salad was not served with bread-- We had to order that extra. It is set up like an ice cream shop as somebody else pointed out. Probably holds 15 people tops. There was a large group of what appeared to be office workers waiting for their food --as others have pointed out she is a one woman show. she's probably a lovely lady who loves to cook, but her bedside manner is not appealing. The avocado salad was fresh and tasty. The bread that she said would take 5 minutes and then finally served at the end was also tasty, but the whole experience was a negative for me. read more

Saw someone come and pick up food like they had ordered it over the phone and that would have been a good idea since she makes everything to order. She even grinds her own meat for her hamburgers there! Got a few things to try - she said her most popular item is her Gouda burger and my husband loved every bite. I got the lemon chicken sandwich it was super yummy too. Then we split the margarita pizza which was yummy too. I have driven past this place WAYYY too many times and finally decided to try it and didn't regret it at all!
