Parking here is very vacant…read more Service was good and it seemed like all servers were trained to do everything in a consistent manner. Replacing cutlery, dishes, water, etc. was all standard practice and I don't think I remember asking for anything regarding that, which was nice. Caesar salad came with a fresh presentation. Neat, but a little too sour/salty for my liking, 7/10. Calamari was also a little too over-seasoned to my liking (lots of salt or herby powder), but the sauces and taste were good, 8.5/10. There was a meatball I tried and that was a very good meatball with sauce, 9/10. Carbonara was also a bit salty and heavy but hey, it's pork fat, egg yolk, cheese, and starchy salty water. Assuming they didn't cheat with cream, it was a smooth carbonara by carbonara standards. 8.5/10 and could be 9.5/10 if it was a little less salty. Overall a great place for dates or small-ish celebrations :)

There is bread and spread that they bring to the table and it was delish! I ordered bruschetta which was so, tangy and flavorful. Next came Branzino Saltimbocca. The fish was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious with saltiness from prochutto and creaminess from spinach. I would highly recommend this place as everything was delicious. Just keep in mind there is a wait-list during dinner time. Also, portions are huge!

The restaurant clearly aims for an elevated dining experience, and there's a lot to appreciate in the overall presentation and ambiance. That said, the experience landed more in the "good" than "exceptional" category for us. The dining room was noticeably loud, which made conversation a bit challenging at times. While the food was well presented, the pricing felt a little ambitious relative to the overall quality. Several dishes were extremely heavy on the Parmesan Reggiano--to the point that it overpowered some of the intended flavors rather than complementing them. The service team was kind and well-meaning, though some interactions felt slightly awkward rather than naturally polished. Overall, Matteo delivers a solid dining experience with a lively atmosphere, but at this price point, I was hoping for a bit more refinement and balance. Still a worthwhile visit, especially if you enjoy a vibrant Italian dining scene.

We easily made reservations and found street parking about a block away. We started with some delicious cocktails--the Lady Pleaser and Paper Plane--which were both delicious. We had the bread with whipped cheese and hot honey along with the grilled caesar salad and crudo for appetizers. They were all beautifully presented and delicious but the caesar blew us away and was one of our favorite bites of the night. We got a few more cocktails to enjoy with dinner--the Mezzin' Around and a gin, mint, and lime drink I forgot the name of. We enjoyed both of these as well. For entrees, I got the carbonara and my husband got the squid ink pasta with lobster. I've never seen more beautifully presented pasta dishes in my life. The flavor matched the beauty too--and the portions were good enough to take half home. My husband was incredibly happy with all the lobster in his pasta. We took a raspberry tiramisu home, which was also delicious. The bill came to $208 before tip, which matched the quality of the food and restaurant experience. I'm excited to come back and try other things as I believe the menu changes regularly.

My husband loves tiramisu and theirs is delicious. I love the ice cream that comes in a lemon. Five stars highly recommend coming here. It was dark with a little bit of light making it very romantic if that's what you're looking for. We were a party of 10. I absolutely love the food! Just be aware that the portions aren't huge but not small. The only reason I am giving this a four star is the service. The waiter was very concerned about making sure everyone ordered more when we had already placed our order. The concerning part is when we need more water I did feel like I had an empty glass a few times. I wasn't sure if it was her or another gentleman that was helping us that was supposed to watch that. They also give complementary bread. We asked for extra bread as they said we could get as much as we want, but as we asked for more, the waite seemed annoyed. it was just a little disappointing, but she was always super excited to ask if we wanted a dessert or anything else.

I could have eaten my weight in meatballs by the time they released me. I did creep out the menu and didn't see meatballs as an option. I have been to other Italian joints that didn't list meatballs on their menu so I was hoping that this was the case. This joint is 10 minutes from the hospital in Sugar House which was nice. It was an easy drive to the venue. We made our way in and was instantly greeted. We got sat away from the door which was nice. It was cold and pouring rain so sitting next to the front door didn't sound fun. We looked over the menu after our server dropped off with our water. Everything on the menu looked delicious! I didn't see meatballs as an option so I wanted to ask my server if it was even an option. My mother in law ordered the rigatini bolognese. I got the salmon without the parmesan risotto subbed for extra veggies. I wanted some meatballs on the side but it wasn't an option. So, I was hoping that my meal was going to be enough food for me. My plate came out looking amazing! My salmon looked perfectly seared. My broccoli rabe and asparagus had beautiful char marks on it. It came with a bright, charred lemon on the side. I added the fresh lemon on my food and a little salt to taste. I was ready to dig in! The brocolli rabe and asparagus were cooked perfectly! They were both charry with a nice bite to it. I took a few bites of my salmon and it was fresh. After a couple bites, I did notice that it was not cooked all the way. With my new kidney, I have to be cautious with undercooked food. I also don't care for rare meat or fish so I would have asked for it to be recooked anyways. I didn't want to waste the veggies so I offered just to take the veggies off my plate and they could just reheat the salmon. They were so kind about it. My server gave me my original side of veggies off my plate. They were preparing a whole new plate of salmon and veggies for me. So while my new plate was being prepared, I polished off the vegetables. My second plate that came out was lovely. The fish was seared nicely again with another helping of vegetables. Again, I topped my food off with the juice from the charred lemon and some salt. I did notice that this second piece of salmon was a bit smaller than my original plate. It was good piece of seared salmon but there wasn't any real seasoning to it besides the lemon juice and salt I added. Overall, dinner was great and the service was nice. I appreciate that the chefs for remaking my plate. The venue is pretty and romantic. My mother in law and I had a great dinner here. The only thing that I would have liked was a little more flavor on my salmon. Other than that, it was a delicious meal that I needed after my long hospital stay.

The inside of the restaurant is well appointed and I think fitting for the cuisine. Not overly decorated but nice vibe for a casual dinner. Food wise I would recommend the spicy Shrimp Scampi - the pasta was said to be house made and it showed. Great chew and a nice compliment to the spicy fresh scampi sauce. Only complaint would be leaving the tails on shrimp - basically have to deconstruct the dish to get them off. This is very common though so not a huge deal. I liked that the entrees come with a house salad to feel like a solid meal. The smokey pineapple cocktail was a little sweet for me but liked that there were some interesting options. Our sever Ayden did a great job with the larger group and had drinks and water well topped off. Overall I enjoyed Caffe Molise and if I'm back in SLC I would go here again.

She was not attentive at all and seemed like she couldn't care less about our table. In some of our interactions, she came off as a bit rude as well. We were also seated at a table that was way too big for our party, so talking to each other was difficult. The roll with olive oil and balsamic vinegar was genuinely my favorite bite of the evening. The salad that came with my entree was nothing special. I ordered the Ravioli ai Funghi and was disappointed. The gorgonzola was so overpowering that I wasn't able to taste any mushroom. We were served a slice of chocolate cake since it was my friend's birthday, but it was dry and lacking in flavor. I have a big sweet tooth, but after just one bite, I didn't want any more of it. Overall, for an expensive dinner, I was not happy with my experience.
