    Salmon Salad

Food here is always well prepared. The menu is compact, which helps make service efficient and convenient. While limited, it has enough variety to satisfy most people with familiar sandwiches, salads, Mexican and vegetarian. They also have alcohol if you like a drink with your meal. Ambience is casual and can be a bit loud during peak hours. Solid go to place when you want quality fare at a reasonable price (expect to pay about $20-25 per person plus tip.

I've driven by this place for years. Each time wondering what kind of food they had the atmosphere etc.? Yesterday I had the chance to have lunch there. It was really busy. Inside it's much larger than it looks. Parking is a little challenging so we had to Park in the neighborhood. I had the smoked Turkey Sandwich with a side of French Onion Soup. The Soup alone was enough for lunch and very delicious. My Turkey Sandwich was divine. It was made with really good quality food. I appreciate this because I'm noticing that some of my favorite places are using lower food contents due to the Economy but not Stella's. My entire lunch was about $17 and it was so big. They also have fantastic service despite being so busy. I can't wait to come back.

Such a cute place!! Ordered the hanger steak salad and it was delish - steak cooked and seasoned perfectly, dressing and accompaniments were splendid - will definitely come back and get this again next time I'm in Salt Lake City!!

    A fantastic flat steak salad.

Great lunch option! As a starter, I've gotta recommend the chile verde cheese fries that come loaded with guacamole, salsa, cilantro cream, remoulade, and olives ... so dang good! As an entree I had the flat steak salad and it was delicious--the balsamic vinegar dressing and artichoke hearts pair spectacularly with the meat. A bit of advice, arrive a little early if you expect to get a table during the lunch rush. The great food, friendly staff and cool dining vibes definitely draw a crowd.

My wife absolutely loves Stella grill. I think it's just OK. They have a cool atmosphere and it's great to eat outside on their patio. Their hanger steak salad is a popular dish. I got the Mexican roast beef dip. The fries were disappointing. Cheesecake dessert lacked flavor as well.

I feel like I've driven past Stella Grill dozens of times over the past few years and finally made it in there for a meal. It didn't disappoint. The ambience is casual and laid back, and definitely a place to bring your friends. There were several groups of people here, each one looking like they were having the time of their lives. It just has a fun vibe to it. Service was fabulous and attentive, food was quick and tasty. I loved my strawberry salad and my dinner partner enjoyed the nachos. I'll be sure not to take so long before I stop by again.

I'll start with the positives first - the food was amazing. Their fries are perfectly crispy and the fry sauce is delicious. I tried the hanger steak salad and it was delicious as well. The steak was cooked perfectly and the toppings were carefully placed. The restrooms and tables were clean. Unfortunately, everything else is left to be desired. The service was extremely slow, even though I went on a Saturday afternoon around 2 PM. The waiter got my order completely wrong and brought out the wrong dishes. They also spilled both me and my friends drinks, spilling them all over the table and our food. All in all, I probably won't go again simply because of the poor service.

This was a fabulous restaurant! The wait staff did an excellent job! They were very attentive and helpful. They answered all of our questions and refilled our drinks promptly. The food was really good and came out fairly quickly. Even the busters were very polite as they cleared dishes here and there throughout the meal. My turkey sandwich was delightful! The french fries were amazing. I did get the French onion soup, which was not my favorite. But I think that's more of an acquired taste thing. It kind of tasted like it had a beer base, but I don't think it did. it just wasn't my cup of tea. My friends got a salmon salad as well as a grilled turkey sandwich and both really enjoyed their food. The artichoke dip was amazing! We will definitely be going back.

We were seated at a table in far end of the room. Once seated it's hard to get in and out from the wall seat because the table are pretty close together. I ordered the Spinach, Mushroom and Swiss 4 Egg Omelet. They asked me if I wanted 2 or 4 eggs and I chose 4. As a substitute for the potatoes, I opted to choose the avocado which came as a slice 1/2 of avocado. For my toast option, I chose the single pancake, but could also have chosen a scone. The scone wasn't on the menu as a option, so I missed this when I ordered. My omelet was very flavorful, although a bit dense. I attributed that to the 4 eggs fitting into a 2 egg form factor, but I really don't know that for sure. The avocado was a good complement to the omelet and worked out very well. The pancake was delicious. There was syrup on the table and butter came on the plate. I gobbled it right down and thought that I maybe should have got another one. I have eaten here before when I was in the area, and will likely return again when up here. The busy nature of the restaurant is offset by the good quality food.

There's a back patio that's surrounded by trees offering ample shade and a quiet, pleasant dining experience (some nights during the summer there is live music). And don't skimp on the dessert -- the chocolate malt pudding is famous and is quite tasty. The service was also terrific -- very friendly and attentive throughout! Wait staff was friendly but a little hard to hear since it's definitely got a diner vibe and it's pretty noisy. The Spanish omelette was a little smaller than I expected and a little dry. It needed Spanish sauce and cheese on the top, definitely. We got some green salsa to add. The breakfast sandwich was good. I expected the ciabatta roll to be a little more dense, as ciabattas normally are. It was more like a roll, but fresh! I think it comes from the Oakley bakery on the lower level. Definite diner vibe, as I said, but the floor was pretty dirty. Needed to be swept and mopped. When you're waiting for the hostess to check for a clean table, you're standing by the first seated table. A little awkward. All-in-all we'd probably go back. Our absolute favorite thing on the menu was the Caramel Apple Stuffed French Toast. It was two thick pieces of cream-cheese stuffed French toast topped with apples, caramel, crumble, and whipped cream, and you actually got two of those pieces per order, plus bacon and eggs. It was easily one of the best breakfast plates in Ogden and the main reason we kept coming back. Yesterday we came in and found out they completely removed it from the menu. Huge disappointment right out of the gate. They still have mixed berry, banana caramel, and peach versions. I can't eat the berry because of an allergy, and we've had the peach before and didn't care for it, so we tried the banana caramel crunch instead. Service was slower than usual. There's a help-wanted sign when you walk in and it looked like a new employee was being trained, so that part was understandable. What wasn't understandable was when the food showed up. The portion has been cut in half. What used to be two stuffed French toast pieces per order is now only one, but the price is the same. My wife and I have both had weight-loss surgery, so we're definitely not people who need massive portions. But cutting the plate by 50% while charging the same price just feels like a bad move. Even though we split meals we made it up by tipping are wait staff, the difference as if we would have ordered two meals, Removing a customer favorite and shrinking portions at the same time is a good way to lose longtime customers. Cute little diner, just hope the owners can rethink this issue. All things change and not always for the good. We used to recommend No Frills to everyone. After this visit, it's hard to say we will anymore or visit ourselves.
