Terrible carry out! Don't bother. Thoughts we'd try a new sushi place and couldn't be a worse choice. Portions are tasteless and very tiny. Worse it looks like some scarfed one of our sushi rolls / delivery driver??? I spent $82 for delivery for 2 people and we're still hungry. read more

I was hesitating to order due to the terrible reviews here, but actually this place is pretty good Chinese & sushi restaurant! The staff was friendly and the price was reasonable. Just horrible. I got the chicken with broccoli and my son got the fried rice with beef. In my meal, there was maybe three pieces of chicken and the flavor was bland. My son could not even finish his fried rice. We actually went for the sushi but it was so dirty inside decided to just try the Chinese food. Should've learned my lesson. read more

A good option for sushi and Asian food. I was worried with the negative comments but they must have improved in the last year because I was pleasantly surprised. The inside doesn't look like much, looks like they mostly are doing take out orders but my miso soup, salad and shrimp tempura roll were really good. The egg roll was a little oily but still good. We consistently do take out and the taste, quality is always very good. Appreciate the staff who are attentive and timely in gettiing entrees when ordered. We recently had a small party for 15 friends and ordered trays of food - Gen Tso, Tofu Vegetables and Chicken w/Vegetables - and rice. Abundant platters of food, all delicious. Very easy to order through the online website. We ordered off the Chinese menu and was ok. Not the best Chinese in town but good enough for an occasional lunch/dinner. Staff was great and food was ready right on time. Restaurant primarily runs on takeout orders but there is inside seating if you choose. Lots of options beyond Chinese available. read more

Calling this Chinese food is a put down to all Chinese food. Got Sweet and Sour Chicken and Crispy Chicken. The Sweet and Sour should be called Dry and Tasteless. The Crispy Chicken was soggy and rated as a spicy dish. I've eaten oatmeal that was crispier and had more kick. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

This place was a huge disappointment! Was excited for a place close to home and that offers delivery. When we received our food took one bite and threw it all away! The chicken was freezer burned, the steak was chewy, and the fried rice just consisted of white rice with a little bit of fake soy sauce on it. I have made better Chinese food at home from the freezer section! Also the sushi was small and disgusting. Will never go there again and have let our friends know the same! "This is the second time I've ordered from. The first time we ordered the Kani Kama salad, spring rolls and a couple of sushi rolls (I believe the Baltimore & California). They had recently opened and excited as Old Dominion is our favorite but a bit further distance. Today we ordered the Kani salad, not fresh and dry. The shrimp tempura was the not edible. I just stopped here to have lunch. I was the only person in the place during lunch hour which I think was a red flag. I found a bug in the food which I ignored because it happens. It is take out but then I saw what looked like larvae. I showed the server. She of course argued said I was wrong and offered to give me more rice. Well surprise surprise there was another larvae. Worst Chinese food I have ever eaten in my entire life. Food was cooked until it was dry. Tasteless. Crab Rangoon had ZERO Rangoon, it was just a pastry that was deep fried. Great sushi & Chinese food. My wife spotted this new place after getting her nails done nearby. Located in an easy to park location, I have always been able to park right out front when running in for my pickup. The sushi rolls are big, with great rice to sushi ratio. The sushi is made fresh, right in front of you after ordering. I moved up here from Germantown and have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant, and China Wall doesn't do it for me, but I was very satisfied with Sushiya and their Chinese food. Very friendly service, good quality chop sticks (no splinters), and my takeout order always has everything I need (chop sticks, soy sauce, napkins, etc.). The place is clean with plenty of seats to sit, while waiting. read more

Very tasty Sushi and Chinese food! The sushi is fresh and delicious. Their special maki menu section has loads of more unusual fun selections to try. My son who loves all things spicy recommends the 007 roll - spicy tuna with more spicy tuna and hot sauce. I really like the Green Mountain Roll. I used to love this place, we ordered dinner tonight, sushi and chicken lo mein, it was awful. Hardly any tuna in the rolls, all rice and cucumber (which was supposed to be avocado) and had a horrible taste. The lo mein tasted like it sat in the fridge for weeks and was heated up. Stopped in today for lunch and split a couple sushi rolls. All of them were fresh, well sized and decently priced. I am thrilled to have a sushi place on this side of town again. I'm hoping they stick with the quality and fresh ingredients they used today and they don't let things slip like so many new places tend to do after a while. The inside of the restaurant is a little sparse and they need some background music or something to break the silence of a tiny place with a close by kitchen but as long as the food remains good then we'll keep coming! read more

The worst triple delight I've ever had! The coat the meat & shrimp with some kind of Corn starch. Or I think that they said baking powder I don't remember but it was terrible!!! Broccoli and carrots were not cooked at all! Worst Chinese food I've ever had and I don't think that the sushi is very fresh either! When I called and told them about the food they said to come in and get some thing else of equal value but when I learned a coat all of the meat with the corn starch or whatever it was! I want to like this restaurant. Granted it is all take out now, but still the Chinese food portion of the menu needs to be upgraded. The quality of the vegetables is the worst offender. Tough CARROTS... who uses carrots to begin with in Chinese food... but these were huge old carrots. No bok choy, no Chinese cabbage, none of the "traditional" Chinese vegetables that one expects in American Chinese take out. I think they want to specialize in Sushi. Ok I understand that, but don't offer menu items that you don't know how to cook. Their hot and sour soup is good. read more

Had received one of their menus in the mail, so figured we would give the new sushi place in the area a try. I was a little wary after reading the reviews already posted here, but figured we would give the place a fair try. I am glad we did! I got a selection of various nigiri sushi, as well as some egg drop soup and lo mein for my wife. Everything was good - not mind blowing, but definitely good, and the fact we could order Chinese food and Sushi from the same place, while also being able to order delivery, is a huge plus. Looking at some of the other reviews, I'm assuming they were low due to teething troubles which comes any time a new restaurant opens and is still figuring things out. I thought I could try a new sushi place in town and looked here on yelp for suggestions. Saw that this place was new and figured why not, and by the one review, it seems it might be good. Unfortunately, me and my husband were both left disappointed for a few reasons. The sushi just didn't seem well made, the seaweed on my salmon roll still had a crunch to it and I thought that was a little odd. My husband's crab roll didn't even contain crab as it said on the menu, it had avocado and cucumber with old bay on top. Also, we got a speciality roll and normally when ordering a speciality roll it comes out as a big roll, but this was the same size as the other rolls and more expensive...also, it had this odd melted top on it and I didn't feel very comfortable eating it because I had never seen anything like that before. I was hoping for more out of this place. Hope they can change a few things about their restaurant being that they're new. read more
