Our first time here. The tonkatsu ramen pleased my picky eater of a daughter, and my Kevin Roll was delicious! Our server was so sweet and nice! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! Anyone can find something they will love here!

Incredible sushi! Everything we had was delicious. We really enjoyed the Avocado Bomb to start. Our favorite roll was the Roger's On Fire - the presentation is great and the flavor was awesome! We also really enjoyed the Monty roll and would definitely order both again. I believe our third roll was the King Dragon, which was also very good we were just very full by then!

My wife & I went to Sapporo for date night and we loved it! We didn't have reservations so ended up at the sushi bar. This place gets packed, especially on the weekends, so if you want a table make reservations. The food was excellent. Very fresh & delicious! Even the spicy tuna was freshly chopped to order. We got dumplings and edamame for appetizers and the sushi & sashimi combo for 2. The portions were very generous... even though our appetizers were delicious we should have stuck to one because we ended up taking enough home for our oldest daughter to eat a complete meal. Korean-owned so they have soju as well as sake (). Service was great even though the restaurant filled up in about 30 minutes. We'll definitely be back!

The sushi here tastes amazing and their spicy edamame is to die for, but it really seems like they're understaffed because we waited over an hour for our food and the restaurant was not even busy. We were offered ice cream as an apology for poor service and we initially accepted, but ended up declining it when they told us it would be another 10 minutes, but it ended up being another 20 minutes. We cancelled the remaining sushi that still hadn't arrived after waiting an additional 5 mins including the previous 20 minute and requested a discount, which they agreed to.

We had a delicious meal here on a quiet Sunday afternoon. I had made reservations but the restaurant was quiet and was able to give us the choice of seats. There is a small sushi bar . Eli our server was quite pleasant and attentive. The menu is extensive and had good photos. We ordered the appetizer sampler, shumai soup and spicy pork( Korean) which was more than enough for the two of us. Each dish was exquisitely presented. The pork came with a salad of iceberg with ginger dressing and miso soup. Not unusual but nice and fresh. The Shumai soup had an excellent spicy broth with the dumplings and fresh vegetables. The appetizer sampler was amazing with sushi, sashimi, tempura and dumplings. Perfect tempura, not at all greasy and seriously crispy. The pork dish had an excellent level of spicy and was accompanied by nice blanched vegetables. I had an excellent tea made in house with green tea and roasted rice, it had an excellent savory smoky flavor. If I had to complain it might be that everything came all at once but since it came on cool robot thing it was entertaining. We'll definitely be eating here again.

3.5 rounded up because they were so friendly. My car was in the shop so after hanging out at a coffee shop for awhile, I eventually got hungry and this was right down the street. I decided to get the Chicken Teriyaki bento box because I was hungry and it has a little bit of everything to try. It was HUGE! I wasn't expecting it to be as much food as it was. To start, the miso soup was amazing. Very flavorful and plenty of tofu. The chicken was tender and the sauce was good without being too overwhelming. The california roll was falling apart and truly very difficult to eat. There was minimal crab inside as well so not my favorite. The veggies were pretty good too. I was the only customer the entire time I was there for lunch. The servers were friendly without hovering too much. I loved the music-80's power ballads were blasting. Overall, I'd try it again if I'm back in the area.

This place is fantastic! It's a bit more upscale but is worth it! The food is great! Some of the best sushi I've had recently! The gyoza was also very delicious! They use a little robot to deliver your drinks which I thought was super cute. The service was quick and she was very patient with our questions. I will definitely go back to try more of the menu!

Our experience here, from start to finish, was delightful. The setting and ambiance - simply beautiful. There were crisp, white tablecloths, and a real Zen atmosphere. The presentation was exquisite. For appetizers, my partner and I ordered the Avocado Bomb, and Garlic Edamame's. Both were scrumptious! Our sushi included the King Dragon Roll, The White Swan Roll and a sweet potato & cream cheese roll. We were then transported to sushi paradise - it was THAT good. Our waiter was exceptional, friendly, and knowledgeable. We are avid sushi fans, and Sapporo didn't disappoint!! They have the freshest sushi we've ever tasted. Now we can't go anyplace else!

My go to sushi spot, Lazy Fish, was closed for some reason today so I found this spot on Yelp. It was close to where I was and had good ratings so I figured I'd check it out. The ambiance here is great. The place is more attractive than Lazy Fish in my opinion and the soft music in the background was really nice. The service was good. The server and sushi chefs were very nice. The food here is average. The sushi deluxe was ok. To be honest, I preferred the salad and miso soup more than the sushi. I found the quality of the fish to be subpar. For such a beautiful place, the quality of the fish didn't match. Some pieces of nigiri were large while others were tiny. I found most of the pieces to be tough to chew as well. Unfortunately, the sake machine was down so I ordered cold sake instead which was fine, even though I was craving hot sake. I'd have to say I'm one and done here most likely as the fish quality just wasn't there. The chef was nice enough to hook me up with a freebie, but I struggled to get it down as I was so full.

We ate here because their hours were later than 9pm and 2 other restaurants turned us away since it was last call as we walked in the door. The location isn't bad, the restaurant is spacious bright and clean in appearance. It was 5 of us and we were hungry for sushi... we were seated and placed our orders shortly after. Our waiter seemed a bit off maybe tired... as he brought out one of the dishes he spilled the dish of soy sauce and didn't attempt to clean it up. We ran out of water often and we watched him sit in the back on his cell phone as we waved our glasses in the air for water. It wasn't crowded only one other group of 5 and they were eating when we arrived. Several California rolls, a boston roll which we never received but was charged for it, beef bulgogi, veggie fried rice, spicy calamari, spicy edamame... I was in a virtual class so I wasn't aware of the missing food item until we got home... we live an hour away.. not bad for last minute but we've had better.

Saw this place in passing a few times recently strolling through DTF and wanted to try it so took my partner here for an intimate dinner. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by some very bubbly staff, super nice and fun to talk to! We didn't have a reservation but we were seated immediately. The vibe was very chill and intimate for sure. The service was excellent, always were checked on if we needed anything extra, etc. We had a few appetizers and they all tasted so good and well presented! The Sashimi was also very very delicious. The Entrees were also very well prepared! I was certainly stuffed by the time I received my Udon Noodles! We managed to save room for Desert and it was the perfect blend of cold and warm. The Ice cream was delicious and was properly complimented. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu. Thanks for your business!

Nice atmosphere. Some tables can become too close to other customers.... Difficult to tune out. Food makes up for most of this! Presentations are beautiful and the freshness is present. Abundance of selection on the menu. A bit pricey, however understand based on current economy. Does not deter from coming back.

And was an hour wait....EXACTLY why I wanted to make a reservation to avoid all of this. Moral of the story, don't trust their reservation system, if you want a table.

We got the Pork Belly appetizer, Lazy Rainbow, Lazy Shack, and the Lazy Spaghetti which was on the Specials menu when we went. Pork Belly: Although the pork itself was fatty and tender, and a bigger piece than we expected, although waaaaay too much cabbage and a little too sweet from the pineapple for my taste. Lazy Shack and Lazy Rainbow: LOVED these rolls! We were actually impressed by how fresh the fish was?? And the amount and texture of the rice was on point. Multiple tables next to us got the Lazy Rainbow so it seems like a popular one to get. We also appreciated the real crab that they used (although I may have gotten the smallest piece of shell in my Lazy Shack, but it was so good I didn't even care). Lazy Spaghetti: Basically like a massamun beef curry and spaghetti fusion. On the tad spicy side for me. Was really creamy and the sauce to spaghetti ratio was a little heavy (on the sauce side) that I wish there was more spaghetti to soak it up. Definitely would stick to the sushi here (although I'm a sucker for a sushi + hot dish combo). Would consider coming back to try some of their nigiris next time!

Tasted homemade. 8/10 *Trio Tempura - Bland, but the tempura dipping sauce was good. I like the fried parts, nice and crunchy. 5/10 *Squid Leg Karaage - Pretty good too. Again, I like the fried part, and the squid was tender and soft. The sauce was good too. I just wished the squid had more flavor. 7/10 *Ube Fries - Very bland, but the fried part is good. Texture was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. 6/10 *Hokkaido Scallop Ceviche - Had a very pungent fish sauce smell, but the taste of everything together was alright. I like the pickled onions. There just wasn't a "wow" factor to this dish. 6/10 *Chor Muang - Strong peanut smell, texture of the dough is like mochi. Taste was very underwhelming. For such a beautifully presented dish, it was lacking so much flavor. 3/10 *Lemon Drop Martini and Mango Sticky Rice Cocktail - Sweet but very strong. 5.7/10 Ambience: This place is so aesthetically pleasing, the lights, flower decor, and colors were so beautiful!! 10/10 I honestly wouldn't come here again. Decent broth flavor and good chew in the noodles, I personally prefer a hotter broth, but it comes out slighter warmer than room temp (not my fav, but still good). Mhm, the sushi is so expensive a bit overpriced doe what you get, and I'm not sure if it's worth it. Their special rolls are ~ $20 range, but the size of the roll is about the same as their "standard rolls" seems not worth that premium price. Usually at most sushi places their special rolls are larger in size and makes it worth paying more for. Even their standard nirgri prices are double than most places. I have gotten a variety of rolls over the years and it's honestly just okay. Good sushi, but small and super overpriced. 3/5

At one point my mouth was doing things I probably shouldn't describe in a public review. We did order for delivery, which disappointed us because it never showed up. BUT, i called the restaurant and it was ready for pick up. They quickly resolved that i had paid online and i was good to go at pick up. Easy peasy and with a smile. Okay, let's talk food! I will start with, the fish is impossibly fresh, the rolls are balanced perfectly, and every single piece feels like it was crafted with obsessive attention. No throwaway bites. No filler. Just straight-up sushi perfection. Here's the real kicker: we live part-time in Kauai, a place that technically has a slight advantage when it comes to seafood given its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, and Kyo still wins our hearts when it comes to sushi. That's saying something. So if you're looking for perfection in every bite, grab your person and get your ass over to Kyo. You will not be disappointed. Also, how cute are these sushi plates from my mom?! Mahalo Mom!

** If you go to Kyo only use cash, and never trust them with your card. Only written a few reviews…read moreon Yelp in the last couple years, mainly because I understand every place has good and bad nights. However the treatment at Kyo Sushi last Friday was so bad I will be dealing with it for days to come while my bank sorts out all of the attempted charges. It seems in general the quality of service has declined at several local restaurants over the last few months, but Kyo went above, and beyond in bad service. The food was decent, but a problem happened with the payment. Apparently internet stopped working when they swiped my card, and looks like they tried to swipe it several times. Anyways enough for my bank to block the credit card due to suspected fraud. So the server comes back to the table, and tells me to pay in cash. Ok, so go to ATM, and find out my card has been blocked. She asks me for another card, and says if they overcharged the first one not to worry I can come back another day for a refund. At this point I don't want to give them another card to experiment with so they pass me a Venmo app for the nail salon next door. I decide to use my Cash App to try and pay it, but not surprisingly Cash App declines, and suspects fraud. So now I have two cards blocked, and the manager is looking at me on how am I going to fix this, and get her the money owed. Asks if any one in my party wants to give up their card to see if it works. They do not want to let us leave, but obviously the card reader and Venmo is not working. I finally grab the receipt, drive down to the bank pull cash out with my wife's card, and pay them. However my bank says there is now a hold on my account for at least 72 hours, and a new card will have to be issued to me because they suspect fraudulent charges. The bank recommended transferring all money out of the account until further notice. This could have been avoided had the restaurant not tried to swipe my card 10 times, and accepted the internet was down on their part. The worst part is this happened to several customers, but at no time did the restaurant tell new customers they could only accept cash. Have been to Kyo probably 30-40 times in the last two years since we moved to Urbana. We have been there enough the workers know our faces, but could not trust us to drive to a bank and pull money out to pay them. I really Kyo before, but will never return now. Thankfully Urbana is getting a new Sushi restaurant near Giant soon.

The ramen was delish. That broth had so much flavor! I tried the special (slow cooked brisket ramen). What I found unique was that we took our food to go- and such fantastic containers - the noodles and toppings sit on top of the soup on a lid insert. That way the noodles don't overcook or get soggy- so smart! Definitely check them out!

Today is my 3rd visit to JBC in just a few months, high time to leave a review. As someone with…read moreceliac disease, I am beyond happy to have another place in the Frederick area where I can get rice noodle soups. I've been trying various iterations on mushroom soups. Tonight was the sour & spicy broth with mushrooms. Love at first sip! It's a chicken based broth with a spiciness factor of 5 or 6/10, ample 'shrooms as well as tofu, tofu skins, corn and some shredded lettuce. The first broth I tried was the tomato, and it wasn't bad, but I much prefer the chicken based one. Service is always quick and pleasant. The restaurant is clean and comfortable if a little spare. They need to turn up the heat a bit, too. It's November and pretty chilly in here. Everyone has their coats on. At least the soup is steaming hot. My one other request would be to have more appetizers or sides that are gluten-free. Saw a cucumber salad on the menu but it's too cold for that now! Also, fyi for those who don't want to cook on Thanksgiving, they have a sign on the door saying they'll be open
