All you can eat sushi - SO MUCH RICE
    Will S.

Unfortunately, when a price sounds too good to be true, it almost always is. As was the case with Sushi Yuki. I expected this place to change their act under new management/re-naming done this year. For those uninformed, this had an abysmal rating prior, mostly for duping customers by loading up the rice on their AYCE sushi. Well, they're back at it it seems. I ordered two special rolls and 6pcs of nigiri off the AYCE menu. For starters, this AYCE menu is seriously lackluster. No appetizers, hot items, deserts, etc; they only offer nigiri and rolls. The sushi itself was okay. I stared at my rolls incredulously before chipping away at some of the rice like an ice pick to get to the actual fish. Frustrated I paid $45 total for a meal that was essentially 75% rice. Won't return.

The reviews for this place are too low. All you can eat sushi for $35 per person is hard to beat. There are SO MANY options on the AYCE menu, and the rest of the menu is huge too. We tried so many different varieties of sushi and they all tasted great. Service was good. Good spot to indulge in relatively cheap sushi!

LB2. Tempura Lunch Bento Perfect meal for my lunch.

Tempura lunch bento. Perfect meal for my lunch Crispy shrimp and fried gyoza. Good deal

I walked past this place and was intrigued by their AYCE deal. I was surprised by how fresh and generous the slabs of fish were! I came with a group of friends and we stayed past 9pm for their happy hour BOGO deal. Highly recommend!

It's not the worst noodle dish I ever had but definitely bottom ten. Mushy noodles, no flavors.

Here's the rundown: - naan: recommend this, though maybe overhyped myself based on previous reviews. The yogurt sauce was delish, but the bread itself was very good but not mind blowing. - BLT salad: dark horse fav! Tons of flavor and I kept going back for more. Recommend as an app - Union Square bento: honestly, wish this came in a real bento box. Seems like a miss, but I suppose separate plates give you more volume. Good to add as a side to whatever else you get. Cabbage was the best of the trio. - rice bowl: squash and rice were solid, but the shrimp was the standout here! Very flavorful shrimp. Not sure how they packed so much flavor into the little bites of them - fried chicken thighs: I mean, yes. They're juicy. They're fried excellently. The side sauces are creative and great for vinegar-lovers like me I also got the carrot cocktail which was ultra smooth and had the right amount of dill flavor. We got two cookies to go which were divine. I'd get them to stay to try it with the oolong milk next time, but we had to run. The service was friendly, courteous. Ambiance was trendy but not uptight. Would recommend for a nicer night out

I ordered their fried chicken thighs because it's what they're known for, and I get it. You can tell the chicken was brined, and it had an excellent crunch. The concept is similar to Chipotle, where you build your own meal by choosing a protein, grain, sauce, and toppings. I created a bowl with white rice, caramelized steak, broccoli, and pesto, and paired it with a strawberry mint lemonade. The portion size was enormous--I easily could have stretched it into three meals. Even better, the food tasted just as good as it looked. The pesto added a ton of flavor, and while I usually pair pesto with chicken, it worked surprisingly well with the caramelized steak. The strawberry mint lemonade was also refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly. My only criticism is the lack of seating. There are only a handful of stools and one small table, and every seat was occupied when we visited, so we had to take our food elsewhere to eat. If they had a bit more seating, the experience would have been even better. Overall, this was a delicious, healthy meal with generous portions, and I'd gladly stop by again the next time I'm in the area.

And it doesn't have that dead space on the 2nd floor where though there may have been a place for you to sit, didn't mean that you'd necessarily enjoyed yourself there: Chances were that'd you'd have to hear someone's conversation in person or on the phone, as if you were on the subway. None of that here now with 4, albeit generous, seats facing the window: The expectation now is that during the lunch rush, you're going straight back to your desk or, if it's nice outside, sit outside (so a great use of the car-free section of Broadway). I had the Hot Chicken Plate: It was the special for folks with the SG app so I thought, why not. I picked double quinoa, blackened chicken, sweet potato and everything else you can see in my photo. The warm quinoa and the chicken were fantastic: You know SG is making a play for Chipotle's customers by offering what's basically a rice base with a chicken and salad topping. I was not a fan of the spicy broccoli which I found too salty. If you overload your plate with toppings it will easily go over the Chipotle price point: You'll know what's happening now that you have to enter it all in yourself on one of 3 tablets at the counter that divides the public from the kitchen. Can't wait to see the lunch crowd at the new spot!
