Alaska Roll
Summer L.

I've seen this spot all over social media and we were so excited to try it!! It was such a cute spot! There was lots of cool lighting and stuff around the restaurant to give it a great vibe! We ordered the Alaska roll and the Baked Albacore roll and they were SO delicious!! I was really impressed with the amount of flavor in each roll! We cannot wait to come back and try some more! The only reason I give it 4/5 stars is because the service was a little slow. We ordered a miso soup with our food and it wasn't brought out until we reminded them (after the rolls). We had also asked for ginger/wasabi, and that was never brought out (which isn't a big deal, we just love ginger). We were also a little surprised that ordering sides of spicy mayo and eel sauce was an extra 25¢. It was no big deal because it's only 25¢, but still, we have never been to a sushi restaurant that charges for those (they also bring them out in small to-go containers that are actually only halfway full). Overall, the restaurant had a great ambiance and it is definitely worth trying!!! We will still be going back to try more rolls!

So yummy!! The fish was extremely fresh and beat a lot of my favorite places! The ambiance was super ambient! The fish ratio and rice ratio was great and served super fresh. I havent had salmon that good in awhile! The Jessica Roll was SO FRESH AND DELICIOUS (10/10) The wait time was a little long for the food, but everything was fresh and amazing! Definitely coming back. They gave us all macarons even though it was only one per table! So sweet! Amazing service.

This is the second time I've been here and they're not disappointing! Great place to come to and eat! Clean food & kind people. I appreciate this kind of place to eat. Thanks!

Baked mussels were delicious Ordered 4 different rolls and they were great Also got ramen and it was really good

Found our new sushi spot! Service was great too We were a big party and were seated right away Great music

Fire Roll was nice.

Fire roll was nice , good portion size. Hand rolls hand lots of meat in them. would return

grand roll was so yummy, would recommend!!

I went here on a Friday night looking for a good sushi spot in the downtown Riverside-Moreno Valley area and was pleasantly surprised. I got the Grand Roll and it was good without the cream cheese. Waiter was rushing and being passive agressive. grand roll was so yummy!! would recommend, liked without cream cheese.

It was a long weekend, Martin Luther King Jr's holiday and went to visit our son and his girlfriend when we went to this Japanese place. It was small but it was packed. We ordered a Bento box and various California rolls. They were all tasted good and we enjoyed all of them. The servers were very attentive and checked on us every now and then. We will definitely go back here.

The food was yummy and satisfying! My favorites were the Monster Roll, Fire Roll, and Santa Barbara Roll. The Monster roll had a good crunch from the tempura. I liked the spiciness from the Fire Roll. The Santa Barbara roll had good flavor and I loved the seared Salmon on top. The service was good and the waitress helped us pick out rolls when she realized we were all going to order the same one. The restaurant is small but has a good vibe and plenty of tables. There's also a small sushi bar section.

Gyoza

Stopped by here and tried out a few things on the menu. Started with the Gyoza and a couple Takoyaki's. The Takoyaki's were decent, had a crunchy but soft inside texture to it. Overall not too bad, the Gyoza's were alright as well, decent flavor dipped with the sauce. The Santa Barbara roll on the other hand was delicious, warm, flavorful and just right. I also had a baked salmon roll and that was also very good. Warm salmon glazed with sauce, very good. Overall one of the best sushi spots I've had so far. Takoyaki: 7.1 Gyoza: 7.5 Santa Barbara Roll: 8.4 Baked Salmon Roll: 8.2

What's not to like about this place? But sometimes the waiting for the food can be brutal when they are backed up with takeout orders plus dine in orders. It's always a good idea to place in at least one kitchen hot food along with your sushi orders cuz hot food is made in the kitchen and it comes out fairly quick, and you can enjoy that while waiting for your order of sushi/rolls. Despite the long wait the food is always so fresh. Love it! My tummy is always full and happy.

Great food and service! Good portions as well. Thank you for taking care of us! The sushi and sashimi came out great!

I was really craving sushi, and since downtown Riverside was crowded because of the Festival of Lights, I decided to try a spot a little farther away. It seemed like the ideal spot to have dinner and satisfy my craving. When we went (around 9pm), it was quite empty. Plenty of parking but I think its shared with an apartment complex. You can sit at the bar or a table. The servers were friendly and attentive when it came to filling our waters. There are 3 tvs inside, playing sports highlights. In total, we ordered 4 rolls. Two of them took quite a while to come out. When they did. It wasnt what I had ordered. So then we had to wait more time. I had looked forward to my cucumber roll but it was more thickly sliced than im used to and the cucumber didnt taste as fresh. It took a bit to communicate the mix up. I think it was partially due to multiple waiters coming to our table and none writing what we requested down. Overall, not a memorable experience. The sapporo roll wasn't bad though.

Ordering is similar to Sushi Asahi in which that it's digital, but they give you a tablet to order from instead of your phone. Your orders go in a lot faster and you dont have to wait on staff to get the sheet. Amazing already. Even though it's a bit pricier than Sushi Asahi, they do have more options and they give you full rolls instead. I wish I had the option to do half-rolls because I wanted to try a lot of things. Sushi tastes great and their special rolls were interesting enough for me to try out. I tried every type of Sushi because I like trying new things. For their rolls I ended up getting their Asahi, Sour Candy, Okoku, and Las Vegas Roll. All of them were great and Sour Candy was my favorite with the lemon on top. It was pretty relaxed in there and the service was fast and efficient. This is definitely my go-to spot in Riverside for AYCE sushi.

The texture of the salmon was melt in you mouth. I totally forgot the names of the items I got but the salmon rolled crab meat was my favorite along with the Salmon belly. the sushi roll i got was recommended by our waitress it was good although I wished that they had used a little less i'm assuming sesame oil in the sauce because the flavor of peanut was a bit overwhelming and overshadowed the flavor from the Salmon and Tuna :/ . Overall I would recommend trying, you might meet some cool people. That was honestly the highlight of my experience. The sushi was good too. I would try them again. I would say 3.8/5 stars

Everything was presented very beautifully and the fish was all fresh. The rice to fish and filling ratio was perfect, no too much rice. We ended our meal with a fried green tea ice cream which was fantastic and perfect to split amongst the four of us after all the delicious food before it. First Visit Experience…read more My wife and I tried Sushi R 91 in Riverside for the first time, and overall it was a good experience with a few areas that could be improved. I ordered the beef ramen, and the flavor was great. The beef tasted really good, and the broth had nice depth. I do wish they offered more condiments on the table so you can adjust the broth to your liking--spicy, savory, etc. My food took a little while to come out, but it ended up being worth the wait. The price was also a big plus: $13.99 for a bowl of ramen, a sushi roll, and a drink is a great deal. My wife ordered two rolls--the Salmon on Fire and the Caterpillar Roll. Both were tasty and comparable to what we've had at other sushi spots. We also tried the gyozas, which were average. Customer service could use some improvement. Our waitress wasn't rude, but she seemed rushed and tried to take our order almost immediately after we sat down. Since it was our first time, we needed a moment to look over the menu. Overall, the food and value were solid, but the service and small details could be better. I'd rate Sushi R 91 a 3.5 out of 5.
