I've seen this spot all over social media and we were so excited to try it!! It was such a cute spot! There was lots of cool lighting and stuff around the restaurant to give it a great vibe! We ordered the Alaska roll and the Baked Albacore roll and they were SO delicious!! I was really impressed with the amount of flavor in each roll! We cannot wait to come back and try some more! The only reason I give it 4/5 stars is because the service was a little slow. We ordered a miso soup with our food and it wasn't brought out until we reminded them (after the rolls). We had also asked for ginger/wasabi, and that was never brought out (which isn't a big deal, we just love ginger). We were also a little surprised that ordering sides of spicy mayo and eel sauce was an extra 25¢. It was no big deal because it's only 25¢, but still, we have never been to a sushi restaurant that charges for those (they also bring them out in small to-go containers that are actually only halfway full). Overall, the restaurant had a great ambiance and it is definitely worth trying!!! We will still be going back to try more rolls!

So yummy!! The fish was extremely fresh and beat a lot of my favorite places! The ambiance was super ambient! The fish ratio and rice ratio was great and served super fresh. I havent had salmon that good in awhile! The Jessica Roll was SO FRESH AND DELICIOUS (10/10) The wait time was a little long for the food, but everything was fresh and amazing! Definitely coming back. They gave us all macarons even though it was only one per table! So sweet! Amazing service.

I went here on a Friday night looking for a good sushi spot in the downtown Riverside-Moreno Valley area and was pleasantly surprised. I got the Grand Roll and it was good without the cream cheese. It was a long weekend, Martin Luther King Jr's holiday and went to visit our son and his girlfriend when we went to this Japanese place. It was small but it was packed. We ordered a Bento box and various California rolls. They were all tasted good and we enjoyed all of them. The servers were very attentive and checked on us every now and then. We will definitely go back here.

The food was yummy and satisfying! My favorites were the Monster Roll, Fire Roll, and Santa Barbara Roll. The Monster roll had a good crunch from the tempura. I liked the spiciness from the Fire Roll. The Santa Barbara roll had good flavor and I loved the seared Salmon on top. The service was good and the waitress helped us pick out rolls when she realized we were all going to order the same one. The restaurant is small but has a good vibe and plenty of tables. There's also a small sushi bar section.

Stopped by here and tried out a few things on the menu. Started with the Gyoza and a couple Takoyaki's. The Takoyaki's were decent, had a crunchy but soft inside texture to it. Overall not too bad, the Gyoza's were alright as well, decent flavor dipped with the sauce.The Santa Barbara roll on the other hand was delicious, warm, flavorful and just right. I also had a baked salmon roll and that was also very good. Warm salmon glazed with sauce, very good. Overall one of the best sushi spots I've had so far. Takoyaki: 7.1 Gyoza: 7.5 Santa Barbara Roll: 8.4 Baked Salmon Roll: 8.2

What's not to like about this place? But sometimes the waiting for the food can be brutal when they are backed up with takeout orders plus dine in orders. It's always a good idea to place in at least one kitchen hot food along with your sushi orders cuz hot food is made in the kitchen and it comes out fairly quick, and you can enjoy that while waiting for your order of sushi/rolls. Despite the long wait the food is always so fresh. Love it! My tummy is always full and happy.

I was really craving sushi, and since downtown Riverside was crowded because of the Festival of Lights, I decided to try a spot a little farther away. It seemed like the ideal spot to have dinner and satisfy my craving. When we went (around 9pm), it was quite empty. Plenty of parking but I think its shared with an apartment complex. You can sit at the bar or a table. The servers were friendly and attentive when it came to filling our waters. There are 3 tvs inside, playing sports highlights. In total, we ordered 4 rolls. Two of them took quite a while to come out. When they did. It wasnt what I had ordered. So then we had to wait more time. I had looked forward to my cucumber roll but it was more thickly sliced than im used to and the cucumber didnt taste as fresh. It took a bit to communicate the mix up. I think it was partially due to multiple waiters coming to our table and none writing what we requested down. Overall, not a memorable experience. The sapporo roll wasn't bad though.

We really enjoyed eating here. We got our two boys the 3 roll special which came with edamame. They loved it. Our server recommended the Mexican roll and it's was delicious. We also would recommend the yellowtail sashimi. Our service was great, our water cups were always full, extra ginger was no biggie, and overall a wonderful experience. I wish I had taken pictures to share, but would definitely recommend and come back. read more

The sushi is fresh, plated beautifully and tastes great. The Shogun's crown is my favorite roll it has spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado, topped with albacore, deep fried onions and garlic sauce. The spicy miso ramen is the star of the show for me, it's creamy, rich, and savory with a perfect amount of spice. My only complaint is the service is always hit or miss. The staff is friendly but seem to be understaffed. Overall a very good place to satisfy sushi and ramen cravings. read more

During, and after the Pandemic in 2020/21, it was clear that our primary go-to sushi spot, R91, was sinking fast, nor has it ever recovered in terms of staffing and quality. Another spot, Sushi OK, closed its doors, which leaves primarily AYCE places, with their varied levels of mediocrity. I'm surprised it took so long to try this almost 3-years-old restaurant, but I'm glad we did. Plus, they're open later than most other spots. Being near the UCR campus and student housing certainly keeps the place going. We marked several late tables in the last hour of operation, as well as a brisk to-go stream. A little short staffed in front, one of the sushi chefs took our order because the server was tied up at the register. His name was Paul, too, so that was cool! Our food came out quickly enough, and not all at once, so it was relaxing. We really enjoyed the apparent quality of the fish, and presentations were very good as well. The backed Mussels are wonderful, and we would definitely order two more in the future. While I didn't get any sashimi or nigiri sushi this visit, I'll be interested in branching out from the excellent rolls. Overall, we enjoyed the food, late night eating option, and the friendly staff. Prices are also competitive. read more

Man oh man. Where do I even start? First off compliments to the staff and owner, super sweet and attentive people but the chefs need to get it together fr. Ordered 3 rolls, got 2 and asked them to comp the last one because we were waiting over an hour, I'm sure you can guess what they decided to do. Very disappointing waste of time and money for terrible food, would've been happier at Denny's and yes I know it's BHM so that's saying something. read more

I was in the neighborhood dropping my kid near the college and wanted sushi before my drive home. I ordered a chirachi and Uni, my favorites. And it was delicious. I'm so glad I stopped by. The ramen here is delicious, and so is the sushi. It's ~15 dollars but it's mainly just noodles, with toppings of 2 pieces of pork and an egg. The sushi is delectable too, but oh my, oh my, when my eyes feasted upon the macaroon ice cream, it encapsulates a childhood memory of mine, it was like the scene out of "Ratatouille", I was brought back there, it felt melancholy and bittersweet as the cream melted ever so softly in my mouth, tickled my tongue, and satiated my hunger by this wonderful treat! Anyways, service was pretty good, nice waiters/teresses, and the place is clean, love the aesthetic of the place, it was eye-catching! A solid 4 stars! read more

I forgot how much I love quality Sushi! We had the Mexican roll and Sushi times toll -- two great options. Although I loved the baked roll, there is no comparison to fresh, top-tier sushi. We thought we were full and still managed to order the Red Snapper--I mean why not, Sushi times seems to know what they are doing. went with my family here to have dinner and the tuna for our sashimi platter we ordered was a little tough to chew. additionally, there was a hair in my california roll but i just pushed that one to the side, and their portions for the sides like wasabi or ginger were pretty tiny. especially because i was eating with four other people, we had to keep asking for extra. lastly, we ordered the house salad and they forgot to give us dressing which was a little bit odd but we resolved that issue by just requesting some. unfortunately, the food overall also came out very slowly but i assume that's due to there only being two people making the sushi, so i can let that slide. our main waitress also seemed really drifty and confused whenever we asked her for help, but--again--i can let it slide because maybe it was her first day, she was nervous, or etc. the place itself is really nice though, very clean and well-kept, and even though our waitress had a bit of a weird energy, she was still extremely kind, as were the other staff members as well !! probably wouldn't go again, but i'm not disappointed overall--this place is just okay read more

First, I arrived shortly after they opened on a Tuesday, which is important to highlight because they're closed on Mondays, and I suspect one dish I tried had the texture of leftovers (from the weekend). Part of me wants to try again later in the week, and day to see if this was a fluke. What I ordered was a rice bowl with braised pork belly and daily vegetables. Everything was good except the pork was dry and tough, clearly not braised that day or heated all the way through. I forget what my first choice was, but it wasn't available that day. My other item was the wonton soup, which also disappointed me for a few reasons. Portion size is good, but the broth tasted really thin, watery, and the wontons were overcooked and falling apart. The cause was they were forgotten about and the pot boiled over. Generally, you cook these below the boil to prevent the cloudy mess from disintegrating skins. The filling tasted fine, but again, overall flavors and balance was marred. I did, however, enjoy the lenon tea that comes with every combination meal. And, the employees are very nice, but the food didn't make the cut. They have a big menu and I've seen the skewers and hot pots in action so I know there's potential.

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant and, unfortunately, our experience with the service was disappointing. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, yet we stood at the entrance for about five minutes without being greeted or seated. We eventually looked over the menu on our own before someone finally sat us. After being seated, it took roughly 20 minutes for our waitress to take our order, and another 30 minutes before our food arrived. Throughout our meal, we were never checked on or asked if we needed anything, including refills for our water, which we were only offered after we had already paid the bill. While waiting for our food, we also overheard a highly inappropriate exchange between another customer and the waitress. The customer made an offensive comment about ordering a "Mexican roll" despite "not liking Mexicans," and the waitress responded with "that's understandable." Comments like this are unacceptable in any workplace and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. The food itself was great, and the cooks were very kind, but the service and the unprofessional behavior we witnessed left us disappointed. Because of this, we did not feel comfortable leaving a tip. We hope the management will address these issues so future guests can have a better experience. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem! It's a cozy spot tucked away in a plaza across from the farmhouse plaza. The service is friendly, though it can be a bit slow at times. I tried the sashimi combo A along with the shogun roll, and let me tell you, the shogun roll was fantastic! The spicy tuna in it was delicious.
