An alright option if you're looking for sushi in Elmhurst. The rolls are packed with fresh ingredients and fairly large cuts of fish, but the flavor is fairly plain and the price is a bit above what you'd expect to pay in the Chicago suburbs for something similar. As this is primary a take out place, there's a limited amount of seating available and it takes a while to be acknowledged for service as they're concentrating on take out orders. Overall, the food is alright but the price point is a bit high for the quality of food recieved.

Nice spot with maybe 6 tables and quick service. The rolls were cut thick and the dragon eggs made for a good appetizer.

There were so many sushi options within a few blocks that I had a very hard time deciding where to order from. Two rolls caught my eye from Sushi Time so I decide to give it a go. Placed my order online for two specialty rolls through their website. The estimated time was accurate. I went into the store to pick up. I believe they had a reserved spot up front for curbside, but I didn't know so I had walked from the Walgreens lot. Food was well packed. They gave plenty of soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger. The gari was actually very good imo. Well pickled (?), not spicy at all. My two favorite sushi items are salmon and scallop. Both rolls were delicious. Generous portion. Good amount of fish. Not fishy at all. The ponzu sauce that came with Fuji Yama (scallop topped one) was interesting. Wasn't sure if it was better than wasabi soy, but it was a fun way to mix it up between the two rolls. My only complaint would be could do with more mango in the Captain Jack. I could barely taste it since it was like a sliver compared to the size of each bite. Will probably be going back again tomorrow to try a lunch deal!

Average. Not good, but not bad. That sums up the experience. We ate at a table in the restaurant. There are only four tables and they are not really set-up as a dine in eatablishment. We ordered four rolls. I honestly could not tell the difference between the rolls by taste as they all tasted the same. There were no sauces or creams added to the rolls to add flavor. The only way to tell which roll you were eating was by visual clues. The rolls were very expensive compared to other restaurants in the area. We went off of the recommendation of a friend, who goes to nearby Elmhurst University. If you're in the area, my recommendation would be to try on of the other thirty plus restaurants down the street.

I ordered food from there today and found a maggot in my edamame called to let them know and they said for me to get my refund from grub hub

Note to Sushi Time owners: PRETTY PLEASE expand your business to Chicago! Happened upon this cozy, little sushi joint when I went to visit friends in Elmshurst. They told me it was their favorite local restaurant, and that was all they had to say. There is a free three hour parking garage just around the corner. I think it's called Addison Parking garage, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Free parking garages are unheard of in Chicago, so I took advantage of this. This sushi place is SMALL. If you come during dinner time, there's usually a 40 minute wait. However, Sushi Time is partnered with Tannins Wine Bar & Boutique, across the street. My friends said that Sushi Time will usually give them a $10 gift certificate to the wine bar, if there's a wait. We did not get a voucher this time, but nonetheless popped on over to Tannins to pass the time. In no time, Sushi Time contacted us that our table was available. We ordered the jalapeño poppers right away, which were shaped like little sushi rolls. Some of the other appetizers sounded good, too! We were all pretty hangry at this point, so we ordered some rolls: Mango Tango, Cupcake, deepfried Rock n Roll!, and three sashimi. This was the perfect amount of food for four people. It was AMAZING!!! Creamy, crunchy, sweet, savory, and mouthwatering. I did not get a chance to try the sashimi, so I don't know how fresh it was. There was a bit of an extra wait for the sushi, but our server was very sweet about it. She brought it up and apologized right away. I'm just going to "Roll" with it. You have my heart, Sushi Time!

Small intimate space but great food and service. We were visiting the area to see the umbrella sky project and were looking for some delicious, refreshing sushi - we were not disappointed. Will return when back in the area!

Food was decent, service could be better. Sushi's are quite big. The location wasn't the best, but I will come back.

They would have gotten 5 stars but the sushi isn't as fresh as I would like. Good food and great they deliver but could be a little fresher.

Very attentive, not overly bothersome and efficient service. The ambiance is lovely too, soft relaxing vibe. We've been there with our kids and have seen other kids there too. (Usually not too many and never "running around or crazy"-so kid friendly but maybe on you to make sure they can handle sitting in a peaceful setting through dinner. Not all kiddos can and that's ok!) You'll get your drink and a bowl of yummy edamame and a warm washcloth before your meal comes. I want to mention this because I feel it's important to remember: People are more likely to write a bad review if they weren't satisfied than a good one if they were. I even read one review on here giving them 2 stars but saying that ALL the other times they went there, it was fantastic but the last time they were disappointed. Wait...WHAT?! So all those other times, did you bother to jump on and write a positive review?-no Anyway, imo-go try them!! If you have a special night and you love sushi-this place makes for a beautiful evening.

After a half an hour, we were still waiting for our 5 sushi rolls. We asked about the food and were told it wasn't ready yet. A table that came in after us received their food. So we ended up leaving before our food arrived. I paid for the tiny bottle of coke and we left hungry and disappointed.

10/9/26 update: I…read morewas in the mood for these Asian inspired sandwiches. Parking is still the same but can be limited at 12:30 pm. They have more staff working. They have 7 tables and 4 barstools (communal table against the wall). They have two kiosks that you can order from. They have one gender neutral bathroom. We ordered spicy garlic shrimp as a rice paper wrap, Thai pork belly (sandwich), and Sichuan spicy brisket (sandwich). The food was just as excellent as the first time we came here. I'm glad they kept consistent after all these years. Sichuan spicy brisket was a tad bit spicy but nothing overwhelming. The meat in the Thai pork belly was very tender and juicy. The spicy garlic shrimp as a rice paper wrap is a great alternative if you're on a low carb diet or you can't handle gluten.

You place your order on the tablet, there is just one guy working in there who makes the food and places it on the counter. The decor is simple and just right. The food is the best food ever! I had the rice paper wrap with tofu in it. I could only eat half as I was so full. The seasoning on the fries is so good.. and the cucumber salad was top notch. Even the drinks in the cooker area were very interesting that I had never seen before. It's very clear that this is a very well thought out restaurant. The only feedback I would give is to add a couple of options for vegan gluten free in the menu. My wrap had to be customized and communicating with the chef was a bit of a challenge due to language.
