We came upon this place on our way back to the burbs from the city. The food is incredible. They take time to help you understand the heat levels for the spice (I like a good spicy Thai). I would drive the 20 minutes from my house to go here again. (Side note: we ordered carry out)

    Spicy garlic edamame

Ordered our favorite dishes: tomkha soup, spring egg rolls, fried rice, pad woosen. All arrived hot and delicious. So good! I wish we ordered more because family was arguing about who was going to get the last bitesDefinitely ordering again!

It used to be my favorite place, not anymore, I've tried 3 times after new owner took over. There is no more quality unfortunately:(

The chicken is pounded incredibly thin, yet remains juicy and is perfectly spiced and cooked. The bite size rolls are always crunchy and flavorful, especially when dipped in either the lightly sweetened dressing provided or their perfectly balanced chili oil. Strangely enough, however, I usually devour the little cup of cucumber and onion salad that comes with it before anything else - so yummy! The service is always quick, accurate and very friendly; and I'm really happy to be able to whole-heartedly support a hometown business.

I liked that the lunch special had some cucumber pieces to cleanse the palate. My Pad Thai reminds me of the college Thai food that is well made enough but might seem a bit premade. If you like the profile, slightly sticky and chewy noodles with pretty strong sweet flavor profile, this is not bad. Egg roll was light and crunchy, some might like that. Overall I think the Thai flavor is a bit muted, and it's leaning sweet to fit non-Asian palate. It's not bad, but also I think there are better Thai places around Chicago.

They proactively asked what spice level we wanted in our meals. My husband had the Pad See Eiw lunch special and added shrimp. He also asked for thin noodles instead of the wide ones described on the menu. I had the vegan Mussaman Curry and added tofu, no peanut. Thai curries are a rare treat for me, because most Thai curries include shrimp paste and/or oyster sauce. Our nice server brought the Curry paste out for me to read the ingredients. Although the Tom Kha soup was tasty and I'm sure wasn't the culprit, it had three small pieces of chicken in the broth. The pad Thai was a whole other situation. I knew something tasted not quite fresh and the beef had a weird texture but I knew starting the next morning I had made a mistake. Six days, urgent care and IV treatment and testing confirms food poisoning from either vegetables not properly washed or undercooked beef. Seeing as all I had that day was toast and coffee at home that morning, this was it. As someone who never gets sick, just bummed the UberEats ratings didn't reflect what this place offers but I now see that I should have checked Yelp first! The dirty restaurant experience matches what happened. Beware.

Certainly there's noodles but there's still lots more. The prices are good and there's lots of choices for vegetarians. Finding it takes a good look. It's located in a strip mall. The place doesn't look like much. On the outside it's pretty boring. The inside isn't much better except for some random ornaments on the walls. Most people get carryout it seems, making the interior not that important. The place has some lunch specials. I was around at the time and decided to come in. The entree I got was the Pad Kee Mao. It's about $10 for the lunch special. The lunch specials comes with a soup which isn't vegetarian. Better to just get the full dinner entree. This is the same price and you get a bigger plate. Get here for some big and cheap portions of Thai food. It of course has noodles. There's lots of items that can be made vegan and vegetarian so just ask to leave out eggs and fish stuff.

It was the perfect opportunity to try a variety of items. Here is what we ordered: Thai iced tea (4) Egg roll, vegetarian (4) Chicken satay (2) Pad see eiw w/beef (2) Crispy Thai noodles w/tofu (2) Green curry with tofu (2) Basil seafood with extra seafood mix (2) Mixed veggie stir-fry with shrimp (2) Mango and sticky rice (4) Overall, we were satisfied with the flavor profiles and everything was delivered in an efficient manner. The portions are not large and I think we would order two more entrees when we revisit with our large group of 14. We have had mango and sticky rice many times in the past. This is our first time having it with a purple-bluish color sticky rice. I don't think it made much difference with the flavors but the kids were turned off by it and refused to try. Then again, kids are sporadic and we can never truly tell what appeals to them. The mango was not ripe but this was back in March when mangos were not in season. Otherwise, we would definitely return and we are eager to try the other items such as crispy catfish curry and pepper squid.

I was immediately drawn in to Ming Chef by the bright modern exterior and interior. Such a nice departure from traditional dark Chinese places. The food was so beautifully prepared and presented. I ordered a mushroom and shrimp dish that was offered over wide rice noodles. So delicious! The variety of mushrooms really set this dish apart. Kenny helped us narrow down our choices from the expansive menu to suit my need for novelty as well as my husband's spice-phobic palate. Kenny also treated us to custom bobo tea for desert.
