Unassuming store front restaurant in a little mini strip mall. Clean and tidy inside and the staff was nice. I ordered from the Lunch menu....got the Pad Thai with BBQ Pork and an egg roll. Nice flavor, but not mind blowing. Just solid food with a great price ($9). The Pork was actually nice and there could have been more to round out the dish. If I could give them three and a half stars, I would for the egg roll and the dishes they used. The egg roll was nice and crispy, with great flavor. Should have gotten an order of those. And the dishes that the food is served in looks like leaves...very pretty.

Tempura Shrimp and vegetables and a cucumber salad

This is my pick for Asian cuisine in the Elmhurst/Villa Park area. Never been disappointed. This time for lunch I had their Shrimp tempura appetizer and cucumber salad as an entree. Hot, crispy and delicious , and with all the tempura fried vegetables it was plenty. Loved the peanut vinaigrette it was served with. Brought home an order of the Vietnamese Pho, could use more layers of flavor in the broth, but enough for 2. Can't wait to go back.

Honestly INCREDIBLE. Super fast, the service was awesome and prompt, soup came free of charge by surprise, and the prices were perfect. Now what really matters, the food!! I have had a lot of Thai, and the panang curry I ordered was out of this world. Full of flavor, savory, great quality meat not smelly or tough in any way, piping hot and fresh. Couldn't honestly be happier with my new Thai lunch spot. Would highly recommend. Update 7-14-19. I'm highly inclined to believe the management has changed as the usual complimentary soup was not included and I was forced to order upfront at the cashier instead of a normal waiter or waitress serving. I ordered the same thing as last time, chicken Panang curry. It was not the same and definitely not as savory and full of flavor, I'm sad to see the change but still a decent lunch spot...

Nathan Noodle is just a small local Thai place in a crummy little strip mall. Don't let the name or the appearance fool you. I've stopped here for lunch and can tell you Nathan's has pretty darn good food and perfect service. I have had the Pad Thai and my wife has had the Pad See Ew. Both good. If you come at lunch and eat in, expect free soup with your lunch special too. A bit weird, they have a 5% surcharge to pay with your plastic. Bring cash and save a buck.

Mushy Wontons in Wonton Egg Noodle Soup.. not shrimp as advertised

I feel bad giving a bad review but I just ordered uber eats from here for the first time and was less than impressed. I ordered the crab rangoons and "wonton egg noodles". Rangoons were good, tasty and I ate them all. Liked the sauce! however, the wonton egg noodles were hardly edible. The noodles themselves were fresh and yummy, but the wontons were 1.) not shrimp as advertised, pork 2.) so mushy the dough was falling off. The pork slices were gray and i didn't even try to eat them because they looked bad. The meat inside the wontons also looked like it was old and bad, tasted unpleasant. Attached pics. It's very rare for me not to finish a meal when i'm this hungry, but i couldn't stomach wonton noodle soup. Maybe I shouldn't have gone with this more obscure menu item, i'll probably try stir fried noodles if I come back and give another chance. Just stay away from wonton noodle soup

Curry is so delicious and compared to other Thai restaurants, they add a good serving of veggies which makes it tastier!

I was immediately drawn in to Ming Chef by the bright modern exterior and interior. Such a nice departure from traditional dark Chinese places. The food was so beautifully prepared and presented. My husband ordered his safe choice, fried rice and enjoyed an elevated version of his favorite with tender barbecued pork. I ordered a mushroom and shrimp dish that was offered over wide rice noodles. So delicious! The variety of mushrooms really set this dish apart. Kenny helped us narrow down our choices from the expansive menu to suit my need for novelty as well as my husband's spice-phobic palate. Kenny also treated us to custom bobo tea for desert. My friend and I ordered Spring Rolls to…read moreshare (with shrimp and thankfully without ham) and each had a large pho (hers with steak, mine the "advanced pho" with just about everything). The dining room was clean, modern, and had mundane atmosphere like a Chipotle, Roti or Naf Naf Grill. We ordered at the counter and sat down to wait for our food. Service was good and food was fine. My only complaint would be that the beef broth in the pho was not quite as flavorful as some pho restaurants and a little too sweet for my personal taste. I have found other Vietnamese restaurants do this for the American palate and I added chili oil to add balance the flavor. Portions were generous and prices were no bargain. After tax and tip we spent $60 for 2 people with just the appetizer and 2 large bowls of pho.

Such a bright and cheerful location that lives up to its pastel green aesthetic to represent the lime featured in pho! I felt the prices were very fair for the portions I received, as I had bought too much to compensate for portions at other places I experienced. Service was quick, kind, and the right amount of attentiveness. The P5 (eye round steak & tendon) was delicious and light, with a great kick of optional spice from the jalapeños. The Thai tea and Crab Rangoon combo I got with my pho was delicious and a nice addition to my meal. The H2 (Red Curry Noodle Soup) according to my partner "very delicious" with lots of flavor and spice. Not deathly hot by any means, but it's got a bite. The House Special Bánh mì was also superbly layered with different meats and fresh vegetables, it was so refreshing. Overall, what a nice night! ~$65 after tip, but very worth the try! I will be coming back!!
