I called to let the restaurant know. The woman who took the call assured me my card would be credited the amount of the item. This was outright FRAUD, as my card was never credited for this food I could not eat. She also said the manager would call me back, which also did not happen. Bad enough the food was inedible, but blatantly lying to me was way over the line. The rest of the items were on the bland side, and I'm not sure if I would have come back. But after what happened, I'm avoiding this place like the plague. I cannot afford to literally throw my money in the garbage.

I've had Filipino food many times and it was never this hard. It's a shame because the peanut sauce with the veggies and eggplant were delicious. -bbq pork belly (liempo) with garlic rice and lumpia 5 - I really liked the BBQ pork belly. Very easy to cut with a spoon. Meat was well seasoned. It is fatty, so it's best to eat it with rice. -aristocrat chicken 5 - highly recommended. Chicken is extremely flavorful even for leftovers. Meat is very moist and juicy. Nice balance of sweet and salty. I should have gotten the 10 pieces.

On their social media, they apologized and said that everything is better now. I called today to see if they are open. I purposely called an hour after their opening time to see what is available (10 am). A woman told me they opened up an hour late so they only have milkfish and nothing else. They should change their hours so that they have food available when they open. I like to support small, local businesses but this is unacceptable. Not sure I'll try again, given their current track record.

You can tell from the pictures we ordered a little bit of food not too much and let me tell you everything actually turned out surprisingly delicious. I do find the Filipino food is a little bit of hit or miss, especially in the states. However, everything was delicious. In fact, we only had a little bit of leftovers and managed to clean the plates of everything else. This place is truly authentic. You can still tell that it's owned by a family, which I think is fantastic. The decor is incredible as well. But most importantly for me, which is not how photographic the places, but rather the quality and the taste of the food. One fun thing is that the café next-door is also owned by the family that owns this restaurant. And so you can order food and desserts from the next-door and they'll bring it over to you at the restaurant. I will do a separate review of the café as well. Another fun thing was that as we were on the way out from dinner, we noticed that they were setting up a traditional kamayan set up on a table nearby for a party of six. I called the number and a polite gentleman answered. I asked him if they sold empanadas by the dozen and I needed it by the next day and they were able to accommodate. Picked 2 dozen up the next day and the price was reasonable - $2.50/empanada. I had to test one out as soon as I got home and they were perfect! Everyone at the party said they were really good. So will definitely be coming back here to order. Brought my mom with me and she was able to confirm that Salamat Po also caters. They had various Filipino food (Ulam) available when we visited. In the back of the store, they have a hot food area, where they display Filipino dishes for the day, which is supplies last, so I tried to come here as early as I can so that I would have all the options to pick for lunch. They also continue serving their dishes while supplies last and they have combo meals which is affordable and they also have seating area where you can enjoy your food. If you want to sample something don't be shy ask if you can have a taste so you can decide if you would like to order that dish or not. You could also order Filipino catering food here as well, which you would order at the cashier register and depending on how far you are located from the store you can also have delivery as well.
