An alright option if you're looking for sushi in Elmhurst. The rolls are packed with fresh ingredients and fairly large cuts of fish, but the flavor is fairly plain and the price is a bit above what you'd expect to pay in the Chicago suburbs for something similar. As this is primary a take out place, there's a limited amount of seating available and it takes a while to be acknowledged for service as they're concentrating on take out orders. Overall, the food is alright but the price point is a bit high for the quality of food recieved.

Nice spot with maybe 6 tables and quick service. The rolls were cut thick and the dragon eggs made for a good appetizer.

I ordered food from there today and found a maggot in my edamame called to let them know and they said for me to get my refund from grub hub

Average. Not good, but not bad. That sums up the experience. We ate at a table in the restaurant. There are only four tables and they are not really set-up as a dine in eatablishment. We ordered four rolls. I honestly could not tell the difference between the rolls by taste as they all tasted the same. There were no sauces or creams added to the rolls to add flavor. The only way to tell which roll you were eating was by visual clues. The rolls were very expensive compared to other restaurants in the area. We went off of the recommendation of a friend, who goes to nearby Elmhurst University. If you're in the area, my recommendation would be to try on of the other thirty plus restaurants down the street.

There were so many sushi options within a few blocks that I had a very hard time deciding where to order from. Two rolls caught my eye from Sushi Time so I decide to give it a go. Placed my order online for two specialty rolls through their website. The estimated time was accurate. I went into the store to pick up. I believe they had a reserved spot up front for curbside, but I didn't know so I had walked from the Walgreens lot. Food was well packed. They gave plenty of soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger. The gari was actually very good imo. Well pickled (?), not spicy at all. My two favorite sushi items are salmon and scallop. Both rolls were delicious. Generous portion. Good amount of fish. Not fishy at all. The ponzu sauce that came with Fuji Yama (scallop topped one) was interesting. Wasn't sure if it was better than wasabi soy, but it was a fun way to mix it up between the two rolls. My only complaint would be could do with more mango in the Captain Jack. I could barely taste it since it was like a sliver compared to the size of each bite. Will probably be going back again tomorrow to try a lunch deal!

Small intimate space but great food and service. We were visiting the area to see the umbrella sky project and were looking for some delicious, refreshing sushi - we were not disappointed. Will return when back in the area!

Note to Sushi Time owners: PRETTY PLEASE expand your business to Chicago! Happened upon this cozy, little sushi joint when I went to visit friends in Elmshurst. They told me it was their favorite local restaurant, and that was all they had to say. There is a free three hour parking garage just around the corner. I think it's called Addison Parking garage, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Free parking garages are unheard of in Chicago, so I took advantage of this. This sushi place is SMALL. If you come during dinner time, there's usually a 40 minute wait. However, Sushi Time is partnered with Tannins Wine Bar & Boutique, across the street. My friends said that Sushi Time will usually give them a $10 gift certificate to the wine bar, if there's a wait. We did not get a voucher this time, but nonetheless popped on over to Tannins to pass the time. In no time, Sushi Time contacted us that our table was available. We ordered the jalapeño poppers right away, which were shaped like little sushi rolls. Some of the other appetizers sounded good, too! We were all pretty hangry at this point, so we ordered some rolls: Mango Tango, Cupcake, deepfried Rock n Roll!, and three sashimi. This was the perfect amount of food for four people. It was AMAZING!!! Creamy, crunchy, sweet, savory, and mouthwatering. I did not get a chance to try the sashimi, so I don't know how fresh it was. There was a bit of an extra wait for the sushi, but our server was very sweet about it. She brought it up and apologized right away. I'm just going to "Roll" with it. You have my heart, Sushi Time!

The best sushi in Elmhurst. The presentation is great. When we host friends, the sushi platters are always impressive.

The interior, "modern Asian" is nice and not stuffy. There are plenty of tables, which is good because it is a popular place, and a sizable bar. You also are allotted a decent personal space and do not feel like you are right on top of the table next to you. Our waiter was friendly and pretty much stuck to business (which is fine because we were hungry!). He was quick with our waters and they were always kept full. Additionally, our drinks and food were brought out promptly, which is always appreciated! We usually just come for apps (lots of them...) because they are so good! We had the Shrimp Dumplings (yum!), Edamame (wonderful, HUGE serving!), Dynamite Shrimp (my favorite!), and a Hot and Sour Soup (the bowl is massive, perfect for me). As we expected, everything tasted great and we left full (with some soup in hand haha). The prices are reasonable and right where you'd expect them to be. Given the great food you will leave very satisfied for what you spent. If it is not clear already, we are big fans who will always be coming back in the future.

It was the perfect opportunity to try a variety of items. Here is what we ordered: Thai iced tea (4) Egg roll, vegetarian (4) Chicken satay (2) Pad see eiw w/beef (2) Crispy Thai noodles w/tofu (2) Green curry with tofu (2) Basil seafood with extra seafood mix (2) Mixed veggie stir-fry with shrimp (2) Mango and sticky rice (4) Overall, we were satisfied with the flavor profiles and everything was delivered in an efficient manner. The portions are not large and I think we would order two more entrees when we revisit with our large group of 14. We have had mango and sticky rice many times in the past. This is our first time having it with a purple-bluish color sticky rice. I don't think it made much difference with the flavors but the kids were turned off by it and refused to try. Then again, kids are sporadic and we can never truly tell what appeals to them. The mango was not ripe but this was back in March when mangos were not in season. Otherwise, we would definitely return and we are eager to try the other items such as crispy catfish curry and pepper squid.

Our server was friendly and attentive. There are good vegetarian sushi options which isn't always the case at Japanese restaurants. The Fuji vegetarian roll is delicious; I actually ended up ordering another Fuji roll after the first because I enjoyed it so much. Sushi was served impressively fast and all were tasty. The vegetarian ramen bowl did not sit well with me. I was excited to see a fully 100% vegetarian ramen option but something in the broth or maybe the Umami sauce wasn't doing it for me. The Smokey old fashioned was excellent and we honestly want to get a drink smoker now (ha!)
