They had a lot of different items from lunch like the sashimi and seafood that really upgraded the experience. I really like the Chinese food selection being a bit more authentic than a normal buffet. There's some unique dishes here that you can't find at other Chinese buffets. Service is good, they're refilling drinks and providing anything asked fairly quickly. It does get a bit messy but with the amount of people, it's expected. Will definitely be back when I'm feeling really hungry!

Global Buffet is a huge restaurants inside a large brick building and is hard to miss. There is plenty of parking as it sits in a large shopping area. We came on a random weekday and I was surprised how busy this place was. We were a slightly large group so it did take a minute for them to put some tables together. Customer service was great from start to finish. Our table stayed clean and our drinks stayed full. My uncle footed the bill, but I glanced at the prices and they are very reasonable here. The buffet setup is massive. I've honestly only seen bigger in Vegas. They had about 3 rows of foods. On top of that, off to the side, they have salad and dessert bars, a hibachi station, and a large sushi station. As the name of the restaurant suggests, the offerings are truly global. They have a variety of different cuisines but the main focus is Chinese food. I had a flight to catch after this meal so I took it a little easy on my intake. I started off with sushi. For a buffet, the sushi was actually pretty decent. Set your expectations correctly and you will enjoy it. Everything else I tried throughout the buffet was good. No complaints from anyone in our party. Overall, for a Chinese buffet, this spot was not bad at all. I wouldn't seek it out or feel compelled to come back, but would not complain if the family brought us back here again.

Some of the solid dishes here are the hibachi grill section, calamari, sauteed black bean clams, fried green beans, teriyaki chicken, garlic bread, lemon pickled chicken feet, sauteed veggies, and the cheesy creamed spinach. You pay first and then hand your receipt to the 2nd front desk person who will take you to your table. You ideally would leave tip at the end of service there. Hot/iced water is free, and purchased drinks are unlimited. The buffet is in a strip mall with a dollar tree, discount store of amazon returns (go go mart), pure gym (what used to be blink), and some other stores. It is a tad far from queens but a cheaper buffet than other buffets. This is more about value than quality. Worth a try for quantity!

Our favorite was the beef and general tao's chicken. There's only one guy at the sushi table and the plates that the sushi were on had so much condensation/water on the plates. The sushi selection was also not good since there's only one guy prepping everything. I also loved how much lychee they had at the dessert table. The only thing that bothered me was how sticky everything was... the tables, the bathroom was sticky and dirty... For the price, the experience is decent. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

We came on a Friday night close to 6:30 PM, and it was already pretty full, but thankfully we did not have to wait. Like other people have said in the reviews, I feel like the food was all fresh, and I really liked that they tried to keep it on ice. There's also a huge sauce selection, and I also appreciate that they had soft serve ice cream as well. It's $25 per person as of September 2026, but of course, if you get meat as well as any other beverages, those are additional costs. With tip, for two of us, the total ended up being closer to $100. But both of us felt like it was a really good amount of food for what we paid, and the experience was nice. They also had music playing, so it was kind of fun to dance along in our seats while we were eating. I can definitely see us making more trips here, especially in the colder months!

I wasn't sure how I felt about paying a base price and then meat by the plate, but I actually prefer it! The veggies were all so fresh, and there were many choices of veggies, fishcake, and noodles. Our server, Susi, gave such great service. She took our initial meat order. checked on us regularly to see if we needed more water, fill our hot pot when the broth was running low, and made just enough small talk to make us feel welcome and taken care of. She explained the way things work when we first sat down, and let us know when the buffet was closing soon. The restaurant was very clean, overall very well run, and dessert (ice cream and dole whip) was the cherry on top! I will definitely come back the next time I'm in Hempstead.

He was patient with our many questions about the different types of meat and was ever attentive to all of our needs, both young and old. Nick was so good, we had the manager (who had just finished her shift and was walking in the parking lot) return to the restaurant so that we could let her know how great Nick was! There aren't vents above the grills so the smoke can get on you and in your way (my friend was coughing and sweating a lot every time the smoke blew her way...). We tried the pork spicy bulgogi, spicy chicken, and chicken breast (plain). The marinades ran far too sweet for my likely so I ended up preferring the plain chicken and also didn't think the marinades were spicy enough. The spicy tofu soup was a great side option to have. The banchan were also all slightly too sweet for me, the soybean sprouts were my favorite mainly because they were not overly sweetened. The radish, daikon, and kimchi were all way too sweet and really tolerable for a couple bites. Also tried the grilled vegetables and bibimbap bowl for some additional veggies and rice. The service is quite good and their staff will help grill and check in on your food so you can focus on eating. The music here is a tad loud but you can still have a conversation. Per person cost was nearly $50 so it exceeded $60 per person with tip. Would only recommend if you can tolerate sweet marinades and can get your money's worth for that base cost.

Like any buffet, there's endless options until you get tired of eating the same food over and over. Unlimited lobster and they replenish the trays pretty often -- great deal. The sushi bar was pretty big but taste was only meh to me. There's unlimited drinks and desserts to choose from. You can also order hot pot or ramen, all included. I didn't try the ramen but I would suggest not wasting your calories on the hot pot. They come out with a small pot warmed by a candle for you to cook the food. However, the soup base is super watered down and basically flavorless. Don't waste your time. Stand out dishes were the crab legs, herbal soup with abalone, cold appetizers, endless lobsters. Service was okay and standard for a buffet.
