Pretty solid sushi! I ordered the Caterpillar Roll and it was yummy. I ordered from DoorDash so I don't know if there's a difference if I went in person but I'm hoping to try it in person too. If you're craving some sushi like I did Sushi Spott is a spot to consider!

Solid place. The food was delicious. The service wasn't amazing but it also was perfectly acceptable for the location and ambiance of the place. We went on a Tuesday at 7:30pm and we were seated immediately. The drinks weren't on the menu, so to see what they had available you had to peak in the cooler. There was also no air conditioning. The next visit will definitely be when it's not so hot out (August now). Very excited to have a sushi place in Monroe.

    Sushi itself is great.

The sushi is good. There are a lot of rolls to choose from. However, it's been almost a year and the fryer has never been materialized so there are several things on the menu that are still not available. Everytime we go in we are told, sorry the fryer isn't working, by now they should have taken these items off the menu. We had hoped it would be like the one in Mill Creek that has some non seafood items like Teriyaki available to make it more group friendly. They also still don't have a liquor license so it's not a great date night location for those who would like a cocktail or glass of wine. I wish these things were clear from the start instead of having to find out when we are already seated.

This little spot is among the top 25 to 30% of sushi spots in the area. It's not a top 5, but it's not far behind. Our first time here, and I don't usually do five stars on a first visit, but this place deserves it. There was a huge and creative selection of specialty rolls. Wow! And the five we had were all good. The Love Boat was stunning, and the katsu was delicious. The service was friendly and helpful, but just the tiniest bit distracted at times. We went on a Sunday at opening time. It was delicious, and we will be back. It's hands down the absolute best sushi place in Monroe--there's not really any contest, and it's not even close. What a wonderful addition to Monroe!

Excited to see a sushi place opening up in Monroe. First impressions: soft opening week hiccups here and there but it's totally understandable. Willing to be patient on that front. Hope the fryer will be up and running soon and they will have hot beverage option since I like to have my sushi with hot green tea. It's nice and spacious inside of an old building. Wish they lose the fluorescent lighting it would improve the vibe in there. The instant Asian ramen packages on the wall behind the register was a little peculiar and imo, cheapens the look of the place. The food: Lots to choose from on the menu especially if you love sushi rolls. Ordered nigiri and sashimi and a few rolls. Really enjoyed the rolls I ordered for us. The mad for garlic roll was creatively delicious with crispy garlic bits sprinkled on top. The lemon on the lemon roll gives a surprising good tang. The four seasons roll were packed with 4 kinds of fish wrapped in seaweed topped with briny ikura (salmon roe) and black tobiko which added texture and briny flavor. Overall, we both liked the rolls a lot! They all tasted very fresh and delicious. I barely dipped my sushi in wasabi soy it really didn't need it. Hope they keep everything super fresh. There's uni (sea urchin) listed on the seasonal section but the only thing they had was otoro (fattiest grade tuna belly) which was above average but not the best I had for 3 sashimi at $20. The really good ones they melt in your mouth. 4.5 stars for Monroe. 4 stars compared to Sushi Koushi (highest quality fish and sushi rice). Will definitely return for more for decent quality and convenience. Parking on street and several behind building in alley way.

Finally a sushi restaurant in Monroe, always was a patron to the lynnwood and mill creek locations, welcome to Monroe! Had a girl date the other day and enjoyed some yummy rolls, they have so many to choose from you can't go wrong. Service was a little slow, wish we were checked on a little more since the kitchen seemed to have a back up. They don't have a liquor license so no sake for me....

So many rolls to choose from! Glad this little spot is now open in Monroe, great for lunch & after a day in Hwy 2 traffic... as the youths would say, IYKYK Service was great, I can see them quickly outgrowing this space. Will be back to try more Yes, oven was out for the baked/cooked rolls, but I wasn't there to eat cooked fish, I was there for the raw stuff. If you're only eating cooked rolls, then are you eating sushi? Ok, rant over... expect yelp wants more, so one last paragraph *Dear Yelp, here are a few more sentences for the people who enjoy reading reviews rather than getting outside & experiencing what this world has to offer. Remember what life was like before yelp? We just went places 'cause they looked cool, tried restaurants 'cause they looked nice or someone recommended it... but now, most of us go on Yelp. Why? To read novel length reviews from wannabe journalists? Or are you like me: I just want to look at the menu before hand, check out the prices, & know if I'll get food poisoning or not. Either way, you read this long rant, thanks, I hope I made you laugh

FOH staff is unfriendly and kitchen staff is overworked. Long waits are the rule, not the exception.

Everything was OK, but I was not a big fan of the egg roll. The beef teriyaki I ordered was a little too salty, but not terrible compared to other places I've been to. Hubby never gets tired of his 3 star Tom Kah with tofu plus a side of white jasmine rice. It may seem too light as a meal but my hubby always have leftovers. Love the perfectly balanced broth with creamy coconut cream infused against the bright lemongrass flavor. It's his absolute favorite and he would not get anything else even though he likes curry and phad kee mao. I can see why.. My eyes always get big when I have a taste of his soup it certainly wakes up taste buds in the most pleasant way! This soup goes perfect with rice! White rice! There's a milder Benjarong special soup with dumplings I got when I get sick it's a light broth with lots of veggies and minced chicken meat and bean thread noodles in a light broth it was delish as well if you want a mild flavor soup. You can get extra noodles for a charge if you want to have it as a full on noodle bowl meal. I usually like to try different things. Sometimes, I order phad kee mao if I want that bold basil flavor with slabs of flat rice noodles. At other times, I really enjoy their phad woon sen with its mild savory sauce infused throughout the bean thread noodles. I ask for their thai chili condiments caddy and douse more chili sauce and chili/fish sauce for an extra kick which take it to the next level. I get it in vegetarian and ask for extra fresh tofu. Sounds boring but it's craveable. I also get their eggplant dish or garlic delight they are delish as well. Their menu is large enough there's bound to be a favorite for all. The appetizers have always been spot on. Love the grilled thai flavors on the big hunks of chicken satay ask for peanut sauce! Succulent!! You can't go wrong with their classic fresh rolls they are always perfectly made and the fresh crunch against the warm and lightly sweet peanut sauce it is to die for. Lastly, my hubby's new love is the calamari. This is not your typical calamari app as it's perfectly fried without being oily. We love biting into the big chunks of squid rings you can hear the crunch with each bite. The tangy glaze with sprinkled peanuts is perfect for dipping. Get this! Service wise, it has always been a delightful experience for dine in and door dash every time. Love the quiet ambience with their private booths and nice decor. Like they offer quality Asian loose leaf teas and zero percent beer. St Pauli is decent. The owner Panu, wife, and staffs have always been very kind and efficient in providing decent service!
