When I come here, I always have fun! One of my favorite outings is trying everything in the menu with friends but what makes Sushi Haya amazing is their all you can eat sushi...and more! Making it an intimate dinner without having to pick from your friends plates. As a starter, my personal favorite is their miso soup but their green salad and their ginger dressing is also a strong competitor, luckily here you can get both especially since their portions are small enough to try it all! The coconut shrimp and gyoza are everything! These appetizers are so delicious that every time we come here, this is our go-to! However as far as the rolls and the hibachi, I could not tell you which one is my favorite because most of them are all good. Raw or cooked. The service is always good, I cannot complain but what makes Sushi Haya our family spot other than the variation of delicious food is when the robotic kitty server stops by our table to deliver our latest request. My daughter is fascinated by Japanese culture and having a kitty deliver our food is always her favorite part. Overall, this is such a fun place to eat. This was my first time trying an all you can eat sushi place that was not off some premade buffet line. My friend had raved about this place and invited me to try it out one evening. I was a bit skeptical about how the quality was going to be, and in truth, there were a few of my favorites, more premium items that weren't available like soft shell crab and scallops, but they have all of the basics, and not a single piece of fish I ingested smelled or tasted off. The sashimi pieces were of good size. Awesome! There's definitely an overuse of spicy mayo and eel sauce on practically all of their rolls, but they were not stuffed with rice like I expected them to be. If you get lucky, they will bring your sushi out on a boat! Yay sushi boat! There's a few options for dessert like ice cream and fried oreos and bananas. Service was mediocre. Even with the electronic kitty robot helper in use, the service was slow. This place was busy, even on a weekday, so it made sense. Definitely try to order your next round before you dig into your current round. It takes awhile to prepare, especially at busy times. You have a two hour time limit to fill your tummy, so plan accordingly. Worth another visit! read more

With every visit (a few months apart typically), food in the ayce menu has gotten less appetizing. The shrimp tempura batter in the rolls seem thicker and less fresh, and, recently, the shrimp itself was dried out. The amount of rice in the rolls seem to have increased without increasing the amount of meat in the rolls and nigiri. For $29.95 (ayce dinner), you get to choose from a variety of dishes with portions that are pretty substantial, especially if you're used to taking only 1-2 pieces or small samples of several dishes. Unless you bring a large family, you won't get to taste a majority of the ayce menu in one sitting. Per the menu, if you have leftover food, they'll charge you full price for the dish. The only items that are still worth coming here for are the shrimp fried rice and takoyaki. The staff members I've interacted with are nice and attentive. read more

Oh, they must have totally forgotten that I was planning to grace them with a review! So here we go, folks. Usually, I grace the sushi haya in cypress with my presence, but this time I was feeling adventurous on this side of town and decided to give this sushi haya location another shot. The first time my girlfriend and I ventured to this establishment, I dared to order some deep-fried and cooked sushi. Now behold, when the server brought our order out, the deep-fried sushi was falling apart and tasted like it came from a different planet compared to the sushi haya location in cypress. Of course, being the generous soul that I am, I informed the server of this travesty. She graciously brought out a whole new batch of the lake Charles, but the results were the same falling apart and not even cooked through properly. It took an eternity for the server to bring out our deep-fried sushi, and surprise, surprise!! it still didn't live up to the standards of the sushi haya location in cypress. The taste was as bland as can be, so we decided to cut our losses, pay for what we had, and make a swift exit. Our second visit to this location was an absolute riot last week on 09/14/25, they were running on a skeleton crew with only 2 servers. The server we got seemed to have skipped the menu knowledge class and moved at the speed of a sloth on a lazy Sunday afternoon. My girlfriend ordered the lake Charles and tiger eye, while I went for the lake Charles and the super crunchy roll. As we waited for what felt like an eternity (15-20 minutes), we started to wonder if our food was on a vacation of its own. Finally, I spotted our server making his way over with our food, and what do you know it was colder than my ex's heart after a breakup. I politely pointed out this minor inconvenience, and he seemed to have forgotten that we even existed!!! . The food wasn't hot or warm at all, it was practically frozen! After some back and forth, I demanded to speak to the manager because, honestly, who has time for this nonsense? The manager took her sweet time to arrive, apologized, and finally ordered us a fresh batch of sushi. It took an eternity for the new batch to arrive 35 mins to be exact and by that point, I had lost my appetite and my patience. I turned to my girlfriend and said, Let's get out of this disaster zone, I've had enough! We wasted a whole hour there, and I barely managed to choke down 2 pieces of sushi. In conclusion, I would strongly advise steering clear of this sushi haya location that is 21630 kuykendahl road in spring Tx but The service is top-notch if your definition of top-notch is pure trash! But If you're in the mood for some delicious, timely, and professional sushi experience, do yourself a favor and make the drive to the Cypress location. I never have any issues there, and I always leave with a full belly, not to mention the place looks cleaner too!!!!. read more

1. Service - I only dealt with the cashier, and I visited during the pandemic. All the staff were masked up. I ordered online and came in to pick up. There were people dining in. The cashier told me that I could wait in my car, and he'll bring it out when it's ready. He was pretty nice, polite, and very considerate. Outstanding service! 2. Price - For the signature rolls, they range from $11-$16 a roll. For regular rolls, they can range $4-$9. They have a lunch special deal for $10 for 2 rolls, or $13 for 3 rolls. Seems like they have an All-You-Can lunch menu for $20 per adult, and dinner menu for $30 per adult. For my first to-go order, I thought they were pricey, however I just realized that I've ordered all signature rolls. Will have to try this place out again. I actually now think that they prices are not bad. 3. Ambiance - modern, like most sushi restaurants, it's an open kitchen concept. They have grey granite floors, brown leather chairs and booths, wood ceiling panels, finished with Japanese Lanterns, decor, and partitions. You definitely get vibes of Japan. Dress code here is casual. 4. Food - their sushi are tasty, but the portions were a bit small to my liking. If I have to order again, I'll recommend their RAINBOW ROLL and their KISS OF FIRE ROLL. 5. This has quickly become my absolute favorite sushi place here in Spring, The woodlands and even all of Houston. It's all you can eat sushi, but make sure you don't get more than you can eat because they will charge you for whatever you don't eat. I love these spicy kani salad, the seaweed salad is nice too, the miso soup is good as well, the shaggy dog roll the Conroe roll. Also get the green tea and Vanilla Ice cream. My absolute favorite things are the wontons and the crab ragoon, along with the kani salad. I think this place is good for someone like me who likes sushi but is not too into it. It's not like I don't think it's authentic, I just want it to taste good. I like to be able to order it this way so I can try new things. Trying new things in this way made me realize how much I like the spicy kani salad! It also helped me realize that I do not like hand rolls. New all you can eat sushi place that opened right in my area so had to check it out. From previous posts, I knew the food was going to be good, but the service was a little worrisome for me. Food- 4/5. Why not 5? Due to the lack of service, I was unable to try the other menu items, which was a shame. Best thing had to be the beef tataki.The presentation on each plate was great! Service- 2/5. First thing- I could not hear the lady serving me, and it wasn't loud in there. There was another waiter who was walking around his tables and making sure everyone was served. This place just opened a few months back, so it's new. It looks the part - clean, fresh, and modern. The menu has tons of variety. Food is decent... But, service is painstakingly slow. We stopped in for an early lunch, so it wasn't too busy. Upon entering, we were immediately seated at one of the many empty tables. However, once the hostess passed us off to the server, it was neglectful. It took over 20min before our waitress stopped by to greet us. We started by asking for ice water, since it was a hot day and we were parched. That was dropped off several minutes later and only refilled once (after we flagged down someone else). We opted for the AYCE, but we only managed to get 2 rounds with a few dishes ordered, before our patience ran short. The waitress was very inattentive (or just flustered), and this really ruined our first impression. As for the food, it was okay. If you come with an appetite and get the opportunity to place big orders, then you will probably get your money's worth. Ingredients seemed fresh, but no items were memorable or notable. Plating/presentation was nothing special. Overall, it was a mediocre experience. Perhaps we will give it another go, sometime down the road. I'm sad that I'm leaving such a low rating on this restaurant because I really wanted to love it but I just don't. The only redeeming factor for me is the service. But people come to restaurants for the food, right? Unfortunately for me, nothing I ordered was deserving of the price I paid. We missed the grand opening sometime a few weeks ago. The majority of our friends were raving about this place. So we decided to dine in on Tuesday night. We walked in through their front door around 7:05pm, and immediately, we were seated. The place is smaller than their Katy location. Looking at the menu, they offered a lot of choices. I see they offer an array of "all you can eat" with loads of choices at 1 piece perserving (so make sure you choose plenty) also, there is no sharing or left over, otherwise there will be an additional charge My husband ordered the shrimp hibachi while my son and I ordered the sushi & sashimi combo to share. It is a big boat with minimal items in it. They laid each item farther apart to fit in the fillings, which lacked artistry and presentation. This was our first time trying this place and overall it wasn't bad. Let me start by saying I would absolutely get their fried rice again! Amazing flavor and texture, however I wouldn't order it with any time of meat. The reason for that is we also ordered hibachi chicken and udon with chicken. We picked the chicken out of everything and fed it to the dogs because it was so tough and over cooked. The hibachi chicken had good flavor at least but the chicken in my udon had no flavor at all. We also ordered the Gyoza and thought the flavor was pretty good. I pre ordered for takeout and everything was hot when we got it home. We also got a kick out of the robot server. The food, however, was underwhelming. I felt like the tempura on everything with tempura was heavy-handed and on the tough side, instead of the light, crispy texture I've come to expect from good tempura. I've been on the hunt for a good bento box for a while now. I ordered the Chicken Teriyake Bento Box with the sauce on the side. It came with a spring roll, gyoza, California roll, salad (they didn't have a dressing on it?), veggie tempura, 1 shrimp tempura and soup. The sushi was warm... disgustingly warm. Rainbow was good, just a bit lacking in flavor. Orange dragon was good, no complaints. The surf and turf had a sauce on top that I did not like. The red bean ice cream was good. So I had a big party with me for a Friday night (7 people) and so I called ahead to make reservations and I'm so glad I did! The place was packed. I got there early by 30 minutes and asked if we could be seated earlier, the hostess said we had to wait because it was so busy which I completely understand but she said it in a very strange/rude? way. She kept only saying "But your reservation is at 8:30." in which I would reply every time "yes I understand but if the table happens to open up earlier could we be seated earlier". It was a very strange interaction. I was excited to see the cat robot, but unfortunately it never brought food to our table. Everyone at our table except for 1 did the AYCE. I was excited because I found this place through Instagram and it looked very good and had good comments. However, the quality of the sushi was very mid. It is exactly what I would expect from a AYCE sushi. The crab rangoons were super weird and not your traditional crab rangoons. I would have to say my favorite things were the yellowtail maki rolls, again not he best sushi I've had but for the price it's good. I also had a dessert which I was a big fan of their tempura oreo and banana! The ice cream not so much - it didn't taste like green tea or red bean just tasted like vanilla. After browsing their buffet menu, cocktail menu and full menu, We decided it was best for the husband to order from the full menu so he could get specialty rolls that weren't available on the buffet menu and I ordered from the Buffet for lunch. I had been up since 2am and hadn't eaten anything yet. I was hungry. There are little things to a Japanese restaurant that's important to not overlook. Quality of green tea, rice and wasabi. Green tea was generously given in a large table side pot. Rice was a little too Al dente for rolls and wasabi was too dry. Let's move on to rolls. I ordered the white tuna jalapeño roll and shaggy dog. I was quite surprised by the size. I thought because it's from the buffet menu they would be smaller. Nope. The specialty roll was the same size as my husband's rolls. What a value! The husband had the surf and Turf and The Hiya roll. He said that they were underwhelming. The surf and turf is drowned in a red garlic sauce and you can't taste anything but the sauce. A drizzle would have sufficed. The Yellowtail Jalapeño appetizer was also swimming in a thicker brown sauce the presentation was nice but couldn't taste the fish. A light Ponzu source would be better or ask them to go easy on sauce. The best dish we had there was the Spicy Kani Salad. Do not skip this. It makes for a nice accompaniment for the rolls. I do appreciate that they have 2 different prices for kids buffet as well as a burger on the menu in case someone in the party didn't want Japanese. All hope is not lost. There are other non-raw friendly item. Dinner buffet is $30 and includes sashimi. Such a steal! And they gave us 15% off as a grand opening special. I their Facebook post said 15% off until feb 9. I had a spicy crab salad, miso soup, shrimp fried rice, hibachi steak, pepper Tuna sashimi, masago sashimi and a spicy salmon hand roll. All great. I'm expecting so I didn't have very much raw sushi but everything coming out to the tables looked delicious and beautiful. The ambiance on a Friday night was nice. I love the lighting and decor. The food here is great for the price. I have only had the AYCE option and most things have been good and fresh. That said, the service leaves a lot to be desired. For a restaurant offering AYCE on a time limit, the servers should be a bit more attentive. They often don't come back to the table with drink refills, or to take food refill orders in a timely manner leaving you sitting at your table having to flag them down. The service extremely hit or miss and the ambiance can often feel extremely chaotic because they do not seem to have a working plan in place to accommodate the AYCE concept. read more

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews about this place! As soon as I found out there was an AYCE sushi place near me, I went the same week. I went on Friday night and the place was pretty packed! We were seated after about 10 minutes of waiting. Our waitress was very nice, and yes while service was a little slow due to the rush, we ordered a total of probably 5 different times. Service was good and our server was very apologetic about the wait. The food was good as well. 4/5 stars for both. I'd like to give an honorable mention to the crab rangoons and tiger roll. We saw the ad from IG, and it looks absolutely tasty. But when our orders arrived, we almost lost our appetite...... The sushi pieces were super tiny, the wasabi paste is tasteless, and the Ala cart order sweet shrimp is already dried on the top, not fresh at all. The red bean ice cream tastes so different than other Japanese restaurants....... No red beans but found some plum-tasting stuff in the ice cream. The deep fried ice cream also tastes bad because of the oil.... The restaurant is clean alright because it's new. We don't recommend this place. read more

I had a great experience here dining with a few friends and their kids for a birthday dinner. We all did the all you can eat which was an amazing deal at $30 for adults and $7 for the kids under 4. The food tasted fresh and good quality. The crab ragoon was my only disappointment, it was a fried crab stick with loads of cream cheese and was pretty heavy and not quite what I was expecting. I really enjoyed the rolls though, the mexican sunrise was a tasty unique spin on a sushi roll and the sweet potato roll, while simple, was really tasty.
