    Shrimp Tempura (premade)
    Scotty S.

Overall, very nice sushi. I didn't feel like the sushi itself was of a lesser quality like some all you can eat (AYCE) places. Oddly enough, they will give you the option for either sashimi or nigiri sushi when you order which is highly unusual for an AYCE. AYCE M-F 11a - 3p I would definitely come back here again. The Shrimp Tempura is absolutely premade & might have been made offsite. The Spicy Tuna Roll was just off enough that I didn't try to finish them.

The ambiance is absolutely wonderful--warm, cozy, and perfect for families to enjoy a relaxing lunch together. The staff are incredibly attentive and genuinely friendly, with a special shoutout to Evelyn, our amazing server, who made the experience even better. The food was outstanding in every way--superb quality, delightful taste, and beautifully presented. I can't recommend Kyoto Sushi enough for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable family meal over delicious sushi!

First impressions were positive. The restaurant was clean, pleasant, and the staff were polite and attentive. Unfortunately, that's where the experience peaked. The menu itself is surprisingly thick and heavy, which gave us the impression there would be plenty of options. Instead, it felt like a lot of pages dedicated to not a lot of choices. After ordering, we waited somewhere between 30 and 45 minutes before the first entrée arrived. I ordered the ribeye, cooked medium rare. It was decent enough, but certainly not memorable, especially at the price point. My wife ordered the salmon, which managed to achieve a level of dryness usually reserved for desert climates. The real star of the show, however, was the vegetables and not in a good way. If you're looking to dramatically increase your sodium intake, you've come to the right place. The vegetables were overcooked, soggy, and so aggressively salted that I briefly wondered if the chef had sourced the water directly from the Dead Sea. Every bite felt like a challenge to my blood pressure. We also ordered the Combo Stir Fry Udon. The noodles were perfectly edible, but the accompanying vegetables suffered the same fate: limp, overcooked, and swimming in what tasted like concentrated seawater. In the end, the biggest issue is the disconnect between price and quality. The restaurant presents itself as a premium dining experience, but the food simply doesn't justify the cost. Clean restaurant, courteous staff, average entrées, and vegetables that could preserve a mummy. Sadly, not a place I'd rush back to for another birthday.

Unfortunately one I had to send back because they switched bartenders and you could see and taste a significant difference, but they were really nice about it and fix the problem. The only issue I had was every role that I tried was not ideally the best I've had one of them. I did try and we just wasted it because it was too fishy and it was warm, which I didn't know that. But I would definitely give it another try it's a nice place very packed people seem to love it. Restaurant was not so clean as there was a family next to us, and the kid threw food all over the place, and even after they left, the food was still on the ground for a while.

We visited this location for a birthday dinner. We did teppenyaki and got steak, salmon, and…read morechicken dinners, along with a Shogun roll and a yellowtail hand roll. I got green tea for a beverage. Finished with a mango sorbet and a mud pie. The meal started with salad with ginger dressing and onion soup. The dressing was fine, and I prefer onion soup to miso, so we were off to a decent start. The teppenyaki show was pretty basic, some fun stuff but not particularly advanced. Shogun's teppenyaki is all seasoned mainly with teriyaki sauce. All of our food was a bit overdone, not a lot but enough to notice. Vegetables were fine. We got the fried rice, which is more fun since it's prepared in front of us, but it was just fried rice and eggs and ended up very sticky. I didn't eat much of mine. The yellowtail roll was ok, the flavor did not jump out but it was good with soy sauce. The sushi was also just OK, the flavors kind of run together. Not a lot of crunch for a crunchy roll. We got our shrimp appetizer last because one of our party had a seafood allergy and they do the shrimp separately if you ask, which is good. The shrimp were prepared just right. The mango sorbet was probably the best thing about the meal. The sorbet is tasty and it's served attractively in a halved mango. I can recommend that. The mud pie is a purchased frozen dessert but it was good. Service was fine, the server was attentive and helpful and the chef did his bit competently. The overall impression I got about the place is that it's tired. The decor is very simple and hasn't been updated in awhile--everthing is brown. The wallpaper was installed some time ago with obvious seams. It is showing wear in several places. The bathroom was reasonably clean but the urinal had flushing difficulty. What the place needs is a makeover, from the decor to the menu to the teppenyaki presentation. It's acceptable but I've had better teppenyaki in several places.

The whole family enjoyed our interaction at the teppanyaki table. It was a show of skillful cooking, and the chef provided a bit of comedy relief too. Very glad we decided to sit there. It made all the difference! Food was yummy. The steak and shrimp were cooked perfectly on the griddle, and the fried rice & yakisoba noodles tasted fresh and flavorful. The sushi was also good; nothing remarkable (in comparison to other establishments with a similar menu), but the rolls were tasty & had nice presentation. The whole family enjoyed the meal, including the kiddos. Some highs & lows (with room for improvement specifically in areas of customer service).... but we would probably give them another try.

I judge most, if not all ramen shops by how well their tonkutsu presents itself.. and well.. this place scored a lot lower than what I had hoped. The broth, while the traditional white in color was woefully lacking in umami and left a lot to be desired. The ramen noodles were oddly soft without the expected "chew" factor one would expect. Rather it was questionably soft and almost had a "slime"? sensation at the back of the mouth. The ribeye robata...regular and the honey miso glazed version was also lacking in flavor. I tried to hope that maybe the grill flavor would add some depth and salvage the already bland flavor of the cut.. it sadly did not. I got as finishing at least half the ramen (chashu, corn, seaweed and green onions as well as a couple of bites of the noodles). MAYBE I will come back some time later in the future should my patient roster bring me back this way.. but for now.. I would rate this place as more of a maybe than an actual foodie destination.
