10 oz. Hibachi Chicken & Fried Rice

Great place for lunch. Came here for the first time with my middle and enjoyed our food a lot.

The star of the show was the kids menu - fries and chicken nuggets. My son's 10th birthday dinner ended with us at HEB to make up for the night. Service was ok at least they were friendly and attentive. The edamame came out piping hot but wasn't salted. $80 bucks wasted... SKIP the spicy tuna and crazy roll, yuck.

    The baked avocado

They were not busy when I was there but the decor was nice they v screens to watch the game. Service was very nice and helpful. The baked avocado was amazing. It's got crab. It's got shrimp baked to a great temperature. It's not too hot the eel sauce so this thing was incredible. This will be the one thing I could come in in order. Two or three oven be happy with. The king crab roll most of the sushi rolls they had that I tried were okay. They weren't jumping out at me as spectacular. The king crab is a little spicy but it was tasty rice paper they used to roll it in was a little chewy which could indicate a little old. But all in all it was a great experience and a good restaurant. I highly recommend it.

    RAMEN was the bomb
    Vanessa R.

Tasty and divine. Give this place a try, it may be in the corner of a strip center, but it's truly a little gem. It reminds me of a Japanese restaurant in London I used to go to. I love the printed thick napkins, the dimly lit private atmosphere, the little booths, it's a tiny little place but it's super fantastic food. The sushi is good, Bowevee sushi portions are a little bit small. The Ramen is excellent; Hot juicy abundant noodles bathed in a rich pork broth there were three types of Ramen we chose the pork broth it was truly delightful. I was worried it wouldn't be enough food for my man however it was more than enough food we even took some home with us. They had a cute little bar too we were able to get drinks, and try out some more sushi. Mary fussed over us, we loved our service - we will definitely return. Can't wait to go back!

I like the food alright but I must tell you I was very suspecting when I noticed their curtain to the kitchen was what looked like a huge demonic devil looking picture on their curtain. After that it could have been the most delicious but never would it be appetizing to me! . Sorry but I couldn't get past the demonic looking curtain.

First impressions were positive. The restaurant was clean, pleasant, and the staff were polite and attentive. Unfortunately, that's where the experience peaked. The menu itself is surprisingly thick and heavy, which gave us the impression there would be plenty of options. Instead, it felt like a lot of pages dedicated to not a lot of choices. After ordering, we waited somewhere between 30 and 45 minutes before the first entrée arrived. I ordered the ribeye, cooked medium rare. It was decent enough, but certainly not memorable, especially at the price point. My wife ordered the salmon, which managed to achieve a level of dryness usually reserved for desert climates. The real star of the show, however, was the vegetables and not in a good way. If you're looking to dramatically increase your sodium intake, you've come to the right place. The vegetables were overcooked, soggy, and so aggressively salted that I briefly wondered if the chef had sourced the water directly from the Dead Sea. Every bite felt like a challenge to my blood pressure. We also ordered the Combo Stir Fry Udon. The noodles were perfectly edible, but the accompanying vegetables suffered the same fate: limp, overcooked, and swimming in what tasted like concentrated seawater. In the end, the biggest issue is the disconnect between price and quality. The restaurant presents itself as a premium dining experience, but the food simply doesn't justify the cost. Clean restaurant, courteous staff, average entrées, and vegetables that could preserve a mummy. Sadly, not a place I'd rush back to for another birthday.

I got green tea for a beverage. Finished with a mango sorbet and a mud pie. The meal started with salad with ginger dressing and onion soup. The dressing was fine, and I prefer onion soup to miso, so we were off to a decent start. The teppenyaki show was pretty basic, some fun stuff but not particularly advanced. Shogun's teppenyaki is all seasoned mainly with teriyaki sauce. All of our food was a bit overdone, not a lot but enough to notice. Vegetables were fine. We got the fried rice, which is more fun since it's prepared in front of us, but it was just fried rice and eggs and ended up very sticky. I didn't eat much of mine. The yellowtail roll was ok, the flavor did not jump out but it was good with soy sauce. The sushi was also just OK, the flavors kind of run together. Not a lot of crunch for a crunchy roll. We got our shrimp appetizer last because one of our party had a seafood allergy and they do the shrimp separately if you ask, which is good. The shrimp were prepared just right. The mango sorbet was probably the best thing about the meal. The sorbet is tasty and it's served attractively in a halved mango. I can recommend that. The mud pie is a purchased frozen dessert but it was good. Service was fine, the server was attentive and helpful and the chef did his bit competently. The overall impression I got about the place is that it's tired. The decor is very simple and hasn't been updated in awhile--everthing is brown. The wallpaper was installed some time ago with obvious seams. It is showing wear in several places. The bathroom was reasonably clean but the urinal had flushing difficulty. What the place needs is a makeover, from the decor to the menu to the teppenyaki presentation. It's acceptable but I've had better teppenyaki in several places.

The whole family enjoyed our interaction at the teppanyaki table. It was a show of skillful cooking, and the chef provided a bit of comedy relief too. Very glad we decided to sit there. It made all the difference! Food was yummy. The steak and shrimp were cooked perfectly on the griddle, and the fried rice & yakisoba noodles tasted fresh and flavorful. The sushi was also good; nothing remarkable (in comparison to other establishments with a similar menu), but the rolls were tasty & had nice presentation. The whole family enjoyed the meal, including the kiddos. Some highs & lows (with room for improvement specifically in areas of customer service).... but we would probably give them another try.

We were excited to come here for her birthday, as the last time we were here the experience was wonderful. This time not so much. For starters, she ordered the Agedashi tofu and stated multiple times she did not want fish flakes on it. There was confusion as the menu provided to us does not state that there is fish flakes on the dish. Upon receiving the appetizer, she immediately stated that it was incorrect and had asked there be no fish flakes. The person who brought it to us, I assume was the manager, said nothing, he looked at it and turned around and took it back to the kitchen. Albeit he seemed annoyed to do so. We also ordered the pork gyoza which came out perfect. The server did apologize and we all acknowledged the confusion about the fish flakes, as they are not listed in the physical menu. We then proceeded to order the full size teriyaki steak bento box to share. Which comes with either fried or steamed rice, two egg rolls, two carb puffs, the teriyaki steak, four pieces of a California roll, choice of soup and some orange slices. Which I read to the server. We state to our server that we want steamed rice, miso soup and that we are sharing the bento box, as there was confusion if we were getting two full orders. I then say that I would like to add a side of spicy mayo, eel sauce and the crunch flakes so that I can add them to the four pieces of the California roll in the bento box. There was a back and forth between my friend and myself and the server, which the conversation ended with what I believed was a clear understanding that I wanted these sauces to add to the roll that came with the bento box. In turn what happened was the miso soup was brought out followed by the bento box. There were no sauces to go with the roll. I looked at the box and said that the sauces we had asked for were not there, to which our server stated that the California roll was at the sushi bar. At this point my friend and I were both confused as we did not order an additional California roll. The server then seemed to kind of push it on to us as it was already "made and ready". But again we never ordered this. So we denied receiving it. Our server then takes the bento box from the table back to the kitchen and goes and speaks to the same man, we presumed was the manager. He looked at our table, continued speaking with the server and never spoke to us directly. Our server brings back our bento box, with now four new pieces of the california roll, but does not bring the sauces that were initially asked for, and begins to tell me that the california roll does not come with those said sauces on it or crunch flakes. At this point I did show frustration and state to the server that I was aware those things did not come on the roll, which is why I ordered them as an extra side. Our server states the sauces were an upcharge and I said that was fine, I was more than okay with paying an additional charge. We finally get the sauces we wanted for our roll, the server apologizes again and lets me know we were not charged for the two sauces due to the confusion. We say thank you and overall enjoy our meal. My friend and I also both had one glass of peach wine each. When our server came back to check on us, my friend and I both stated, we wanted to order one glass of wine that we would split. When the server came back with two refill pours, we both were over the experience. We knew immediately we would be charged for two refills, even though we ordered one to split, which we would have been fine splitting ourselves. We just accepted that our order was messed up again. We lastly ordered the banana split pie, which nowhere on the menu card (as it is on the table in the standing display) states that there are nuts. It was when we received it that we learned there are nuts, and unfortunately I have a nut sensitivity and my mouth did start to itch and burn. At the end of the day the overall experience was not the best. I feel our server may have been new and ill prepared. But managent not talking to us, and having what seemed to be annoyance for us sending back an incorrectly prepared dish. As well as their physical menus not accurately stating what is in a dish, just overall made this a crappy experience. Which is disappointing as our first time there, was a complete 180 of this experience. The food quality was great and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. I enjoy their food but probably will not eat there again anytime soon.

Unfortunately when everyone arrived and it came time to eat, the service was extremely slow. We had guest waiting forever up to an hour for food and we all chose to get all you could eat.
