This place a local gem. I'm not even really that big of a sushi fan, but this place is excellent. Great prices, great selection, and terrific service. You can tell the place is always full of regulars, and there's good reason for that. We just had dinner there as a family a couple nights ago and it was packed and and busy, but the food came out quickly and we were attended to the entire time. We had a decent spread with a handful of rolls (the baja rolls are terrific), some tempura, and a chicken teriyaki bento. Everything was tasty and fresh, and I'd happily order any of it again. And I have to give a special thanks to our server, April. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. She really took care of us the entire night, and even went so far as to hold our one year old when he escaped from our table a couple of times. The fact that our little guy instinctively knew that she was good people and trustworthy enough to jump in her arms summed up how we all felt about the service. I was at Sushi Delight for lunch a couple weeks ago. We got there just as they were opening. Service was great, and so was the food! The ambiance was very warm and welcoming. Looking around as we were finishing up, every table was filled and people were starting to wait outside (This was on a Wed!) I visited again a week ago, this time for dinner. There was a large crowd of people waiting. Good thing we made reservations! I believe they can make reservations if you have a party of 6 or more. We had 9 in our party. The place was packed, the music and people talking created a more fun and lively environment. And the service with a group our size was still on point. The servers were great with helping what to order, and they occasionally walked by and always asked how were doing and if we needed anything else. I got to meet the owner, Jerry, who was busy making sure everyone in the entire establishment was doing well, and still made time to chat a bit. Definitely 5 STARS!! I will say they stepped their game up slightly. A friend called in my order while I was running an emergency errand. I was told that it would be a 45 minute wait. I had another friend whose son worked there briefly and had mentioned that the waiters seem to be underpaid, and although they run a tight ship, they always felt like they were understaffed. I was called to come pick up my order and this time everything was right I had the garlic sauce and the dynamite sauce in a separate bag along with each roll in an individual container, which was perfect as a first time I expected the hot Chito roll to be spicy however you're tasting the experience of hot Cheetos on a roll will not be purchasing that again however, I am a fan of spice so next time for the other roles, I plan on ordering extra spice. I typically get the chicken teriyaki bowl and house salad. When I tell you they LOAD the chicken up, you will be shocked by the amount of chicken. They don't play! I always have leftovers which is great because the teriyaki flavor is delightful and the chicken is always cooked very well (no weird scary pieces either). The cut roll was really good and was not similar to anything else I've had before in terms of sushi. Lots of unique rolls here and they all see to be great! 4/5 The nigiri however was just okay. Total was around $40 and I was full, but I feel other places are better. I am more of a nigiri based sushi person however. As my dad would say, let's get some "soochi" ! This is my second time coming to this spot, I tried some new rolls I haven't before and here's how it went. I was craving something with jalapeño slices on it.. I think there was 2 rolls that had it. I ended up ordering the Cajun roll. Now... I didn't read the description of this roll at all. The place is clean with dim lighting and an intimate atmosphere, doesn't reek with fishy odors and the service is good here. Today we kept it simple 3 orders of blue fin nigiri, and two rolls, the tiger roll and Lexus roll. The nigiri was ok, not as fresh as some places but the rolls are amazing. I always feel overwhelmed when ordering since every thing looks amazing. I've tried a few different rolls. By the way the presentation of the food is always fun and delightful to look at. I think they forgot about us, because when I went in there were several tables, but we had been checked in for quite some time. They were supposed to text us and we never got one, but several tables were open when we checked back in to see how long, after already waiting an hour. Portions are big and prices are affordable. I can see why it's so popular. It's Americanized sushi which isn't my favorite. But overall still good for what it is. Everything we got we liked, I didn't like how strong the mustard was on the Crabby roll. It would have been better without it. They have mustard in several rolls, which I'm not a fan of. The spicy tuna definitely has a kick. I would return and try a few new ones. We got the crispy spicy tuna and the OMG was spicy, it felt like a lot of heat. Place was crowded, so had high hopes, but was sadly disappointed. The positive is they serve draft Sapporo beer. After that it was down hill. The sunomono was good, but it seemed like they pickle the cucumber way ahead of time. The mixed tempura was pretty bland and the batter on the shrimp was completely different than the mixed vegetables. We were seated it was still fairly empty then the crow started strolling . Everyone who came in after us were attended to first . It is a smaller type of dining area but if you get there early you will enjoy bento boxes to mochis. My favorite is the rock n roll sushi because of the spice and don't forget a lemon drop roll.
