Always such a great place to get a quick sushi bite. My usual order: flaming volcano, eel avocado roll, shrimp tempura roll. Every one is also so nice! I always enjoy my visits.

Decided to come to Sushi Time for lunch. Handicap parking isn't far from the entrance so it was convenient. Mostly a take out place with a small dining area with 4 tables. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll and a rainbow roll. I just got some complimentary room temperature water to pair with the food. Service was excellent and the relaxing background Jazz music was just loud enough to enjoy. I prefer more vinegar flavor to my sushi rice, so had to deduct one star for that. Overall a nice quick lunch.

I visited this place once with my coworkers and had fairly high expectations based on the ratings. Overall, the experience was okay. The service stood out in a positive way--we were greeted right away, given menus, and asked to order at the register before letting them know we planned to dine in. The space itself is small, with one larger table and a few smaller tables along the side, so it seems like most customers opt for takeout. Our food took a bit longer to come out, likely due to the complexity of our order. I ordered the poke bowl, which had an interesting flavor profile. The added mango paired with the tuna and salmon in a soy-based sauce was unique, though not quite what I was hoping for. If I return, I'd probably try a sushi roll instead, as my coworkers enjoyed theirs. Parking was fairly convenient, with a moderately sized lot available.

Fantastic fresh and so tasty!! The people running the place are genuinely happy to see you and make you feel very honored. It's a smallish place, but very comfortable and the prices seem to be very fair!!

This is not amazing sushi and there shouldn't be an expectation that it should be. However, it is good sushi for its price point, nicely put together, and service is both fast and very welcoming. I ordered a sushi tray over the phone and the most friendly woman helped me with my reservation just before closing. During pickup, a very friendly group of sushi chefs made sure I had enough utensils and wasabi and soy sauce to take with me.

ALWAYS THE BEST SERVICE! I will always enjoy coming here because of the friendly service, quick and convenient ordering service, low prices, and good quality sushi. The people who work here genuinely seem like they care about their customers and they've decorated the atmosphere so it's calm and inviting. My boyfriend and I enjoy coming here because we love supporting this business. The second we walk in, Mimi greets us by name and we chat about how we are doing. There's not many places you can say you order from because you want to fully support the business, but this place is definitely ours. Great taste and great service! Their rice quality, fish, and all of the toppings are always perfect and fresh. They keep the inside very clean as well. Take the extra time to talk to Mimi if she is there. You'll definitely leave with a smile on your face if you do!

This place is a great, affordable spot for sushi rolls! It seems mostly for takeout but they have an area with a few tables to dine in. The lady who took my order (maybe one of the owners?) was so sweet and friendly - she has a way of making you feel special even though I only interacted with her for a few minutes. My sister and I ordered the eel avocado roll, tiger roll, and mango roll. The quality of each roll was great. The avocado and mango both were fresh, and they do not skimp out on the filling. It seems like they have a lot of regulars come in which makes sense because the prices are so affordable and service is lovely. I will definitely be coming back again!

The staff are so polite and ensure that we got exactly what we ordered. They were just genuine and not pushy at all. The quality of the fish was fresh and up to par with other high end Japanese mom and pop shops in Gardena. It is small and the dining area is also small as well. I was so hungry I do not even get to take a picture of the siu mai. The sauces were all super rich and will definitely be back.

Outstanding customer service. Super friendly staff! Went here to pick up some quick sushi because a coworker suggested it. For the tuna and salmon rolls! The order came out quickly and did the job!

They not only had a space that big, but it also felt private. The staff was super attentive. The food is great. I ordered a rainbow roll. All the fish was super fresh. We chose Ise-Shima at the Miyako Hotel for an early birthday celebration with my parents, wife,…read morechildren, sister and nephews. It should have been an easy win. The room is beautiful. The chefs are visible. The staff is plentiful. The music is good. The atmosphere feels like the kind of place that understands hospitality. Unfortunately, the experience never quite came together. The first challenge was the temperature. The dining room felt more like a sauna than a restaurant. To his credit, our server Arthur worked hard to help and eventually got management to increase the air conditioning. He was easily the standout of the evening and did everything he could to salvage the experience. We ordered extensively, including the $130 Ise Course. Some of it was quite good. Some of it was surprisingly disappointing. The grilled lobster with yuzu miso and kinome was completely overcooked, dry and buried under too much sauce. One of the signature dishes of the course ended up being one of the weakest. The grilled yellowtail suffered from the same problem: dry, overcooked and lacking the care you would expect from a restaurant presenting a seasonal multi course menu at this price point. The larger issue was organization. Dishes constantly arrived with servers asking, "Who ordered this?" or "Who has the udon?" The dining room felt strangely disconnected from the kitchen. Food runners seemed unsure where dishes belonged, which created confusion throughout the meal. Then things really went sideways. Trying to be respectful, I asked that my parents be served first. Everyone eventually received their meals and continued eating. The problem was that my Ise Course never arrived in sequence. My family finished their meals. My children finished. My parents finished. My sister finished. And on my birthday, I sat there alone waiting for several missing courses while everyone else watched. A seasonal set menu is supposed to feel paced and intentional. Instead, it felt forgotten. Arthur again stepped in and spoke with management. The restaurant offered complimentary desserts, which was appreciated, although somewhat awkward because my meal was still arriving while everyone else was already moving on to dessert. What happened next genuinely surprised me. When the bill arrived, management returned and asked whether we would be willing to authorize an additional charge so gratuity could be increased from 18% to 20% because of the size of the party. After the heat, the delays, the confusion, the overcooked centerpiece dishes, the missed pacing and spending a birthday meal eating alone after everyone else had finished, it felt like the wrong conversation to be having. I don't enjoy writing reviews like this because there is clearly talent in the building and Arthur deserves recognition for how hard he worked. But hospitality is ultimately about making people feel cared for. On this visit, despite a beautiful room and some good food, that never happened.

Plates zoom by like they're late for work, and you're just sitting there deciding which one has the best life insurance policy before you snatch it. The salmon is buttery, the seared options hit with that smoky richness, and the rolls are balanced instead of overloaded with mayo like some spots love to do. It can be Dangerous. You'll think you're done... then a dessert rolls by like, "Hey." The staff is friendly, quick, and on top of everything. They're constantly refreshing the belt, checking in, and making sure your table doesn't turn into a plate graveyard. If you order something directly, it comes out fast, like suspiciously fast, as if they knew you were going to ask. Located on the second floor of Tokyo Central, it has that casual Japanese market‑restaurant vibe. Bright, clean, and lively without being chaotic. It's family‑friendly, date‑friendly, solo‑friendly, basically everything except "I'm trying to have a deep emotional conversation" friendly. The conveyor belt steals the spotlight anyway. Watching sushi plates circle around is unintentionally hilarious. It's like a tiny parade of sashimi floats. This place is fun, tasty, and easy on the eye to pick delicious plates. Perfect for casual sushi cravings with a side of entertainment. an outstanding uni shooter, a well-balanced pasta, but an oyster dish that did not work…read more Miyabi Uni offers a fun and highly specialized uni experience, although the dishes were not equally successful. The Uni Shooter was easily the highlight for me. Since it is consumed in one bite, the flavors arrive almost like a sudden burst. The vinegar-based tosazu sauce hits first with a sharp, energetic acidity. Then the quail egg yolk comes in and softens the vinegar while blending with the creamy uni, making the entire flavor become rounder and more harmonious. The contrast between the initial acidic impact and the gentle richness that follows was extremely well designed. It was memorable and very enjoyable. The Uni Oyster was much less successful. Both the oyster and the fish roe already have strong, assertive flavors. Together, they create an effective duet: the oyster provides the deep briny foundation, while each roe bead bursts and repeatedly adds small waves of salinity and texture. Unfortunately, the uni was too delicate to compete with either of them. Its flavor was almost completely lost. Instead of improving the oyster, the uni felt as though it had been added simply because this is a uni-focused restaurant. In my opinion, the dish would actually have been more coherent without it. The Uni Pasta was good. It was creamy, rich, and full-flavored, with enough uni character to make the dish satisfying. The portion was also very well judged. Rich uni pasta can easily become tiring, but this serving ended at exactly the right moment--just as I was beginning to feel that another few bites might become too heavy. Overall, the Uni Shooter was excellent and worth ordering. The pasta was enjoyable and well portioned. The oyster dish, however, needed better balance because the uni was overwhelmed by the much stronger oyster and roe. A worthwhile destination for uni lovers, but the best dishes are the ones in which the uni is allowed to remain the focus.

I am disappointed in myself for waiting this long to try Ueno Sushi. I've been driving by this location on Carson st for 10 years. I never went here because I thought the food would be mediocre given the history of changes but I was so wrong. SO WRONG! I came here on a Friday night for a party of 1 and while the restaurant was full and many customers were coming in for their reservations, I did not have to wait. The Sashimi Combo 10pc was surprisingly generous. Every single piece of sashimi was huge. I honestly thought they forgot to cut each piece in half lol. It also comes with a bowl of rice, salad, and miso soup. I finished the night with blue fin toro sushi. It comes with two pieces and the tuna was HUGE. I almost couldn't see the rice! I was blown away by what I was getting but it makes sense given the price I was paying. I was so happy. Overall, great food, wonderful portion sizes. Downside is the pricing but it matches what you're getting. The biggest downside is the parking. The food highlights were easily the gobo chips and the skewers. The gobo chips arrived as an impressive, light-as-air mound dusted with seaweed seasoning... super crisp, savory, and addictively easy to snack on. The pork and wagyu skewers were masterfully executed as well, coming off the grill tender, juicy, and packed with rich, smoky flavor. The toasted eihire (stingray/filefish) was another great traditional touch, perfectly chewy and ideal for dipping in the spiced Japanese mayo my favorite.. On the flip side, a few dishes lacked the depth I was hoping for. The chicken karaage was fried well, but the flavor itself was a bit bland and needed more seasoning or marination and soft. The pressed rice rolls also fell flat, particularly the mentaiko roll.. it felt skimpy on the cod roe, and because the mentaiko seemed cooked through, it missed that fresh, raw texture and punchy brine that makes the dish shine. As for the space, it's quite dark, compact, and packed tightly with tables, which makes it feel a bit cramped when it's busy. However, seeing the dining room constantly full tells me that their best dishes keep people coming back. While there were some inconsistencies in taste, the highlights made it a solid experience, and I'm looking forward to returning to try more of the menu and updating my score!

There was a seat at one their tables the whole time. Then their waitress wedge herself with her back toward me in between the tables and I had to stop eating. Very disruptive and rude. Taking a while for the six people to order so I nudged her and I asked her to move and she seemed upset that I did that but didn't say anything no apology so it was very uncomfortable and I was rushing through my food so I burnt my tongue on the hot soup again even though I knew it was hot because I just wanted to get out of there. And then when I was done, I had to wait a while for the check and then they couldn't process the Apple Pay at the table so then I had to go to the front and wait for somebody to attend to me there overall this experience was not fun and stressful and I had got there right when they opened. I sure wish I had selected a different seat!! I wouldn't get the Nabeyaki soup again. It was really big and had a lot of end pieces of tough napa cabbage. There were two pieced of shitake mushroom and the standard thin fish cake slice. There was and egg in the soup and a three small chicken pieces. On the side were three small pieces of green bean and two tempura shrimp.
