Grabbed a sushi roll to go before the flight. I ended up getting a dragon roll. It cost $19.95. The sushi roll tasted good but it was expensive.

Best airport food ever-chicken udon. Really delicious and healthy. A great alternative to the expected airport fare.

It's not your gourmet Sushi store, but it's a decent option to grab a California Roll on the go, or sit down for an udon if there's some time before your flight. The place is relatively spacious and clean, the service was prompt. I got my udon right about the time I finished my sushi.

I was looking for something quick to grab before boarding my flight and nabbed one of the hamachi rolls from the case of already prepared sushi. I was so surprised at how good the sushi was. The rice was the ideal sushi rice texture, the hamachi was tender and fresh, and the thinly sliced green onions on top were perfection. Would totally choose to eat there again in the future!

Food is extremely salty and most of the seafood wasn't even cooked though. Avoid ordering any of the udon

Pretty solid option for airport food. Located right next to smashburger which always seems to have a line out the door, yet this spot only had a handful of people. Food is expensive, but you do get an extremely generous portion. The teriyaki bowl could easily have been two meals. It took about 15 minutes to get our food and they did have to-go containers available so we were able to eat on the plane. Would I order this again outside of an airport? Probably not. But it sounded way better than overpriced burgers and fried chicken.

My flight at SJC got delayed, so I thought I'd take a look around the airport for some good food before going to my gate. I was looking for something healthy to eat since I was suffering from food poisoning before. I never knew this place existed since my gate is often on the other end of SJC, but it's a great option if you want any Japanese food! It is quite pricy, however. I got the vegetable udon soup, which cost $15.95 + tax. It was so nice and refreshing to eat. There weren't many people at this place when I came around 5:30pm on a Friday, so you can place your order quickly. I think it was worth the price, because the bowl was huge. I actually didn't get to finish it since the delay got cut back by 10 minutes. Service is ok, they call your order and you have to get it yourself, instead of them bringing it to you, which was a bit of a hassle since they set it a little high on the countertop which could easily cause spills if you're not careful. There is plenty of seating around but I did get a little confused as to whether they'd bring it out to me or call my order, so I decided to sit right in front of the counter. I might come back and get a sushi roll next time I'm waiting for my flight here!

People often ask me what's the most delicious food for me. Any protein over rice will do. This is why I chose Sushi Boat SV (Silicone Valley) at SJC airport. We're in the middle of Covid-19 pandemic. Lots of airport restaurants were closed. I was attracted by a Polynesian couple in front of the tropical looking sign. So, I checked out Trader Vic's and walked to Sushi Boat. Not because they serve cold food only but they were not attentive. Granted. They're airport employees, not part of Trader Vic's. I won't write a review about them. So, I took my money to get hot food. It's been a busy day. This is my first solid food if the day at 4 pm. I gobble down a teriyaki chicken donburi and miso soup. Ahhh... So comfy. The rice is one of the quality ingredients that I could taste. It's a little in the sweet size. If they add a little vinegar, it could be sushi rice. Chicken was grilled perfectly. All I need is some warm sake. Of course, not here Because I was starving, I sat by the wall in a stool. So, no one would see me woofing down my food in 5 minutes. Ahhh... I just need a nap and I'll be ready.

Excellent airport option at SJC. Their prices are reasonable for being an airport and the food was actually pretty good. Their front counter setup is quite a mess. Their food claim area is right in the middle of where people are in line to order. Make sure you grab a receipt for your number. They did not do a good job of getting food to customers unless you knew your number.

One of the best places to get food at SJC! I got the chicken donburi and also tried some unagi don and both were pretty good when it comes to airport food. It comes with a good amount of rice, veggies, and a bowl of miso soup!

Veggie udon: good quantity for decent price with zucchini, broccoli, carrot, cabbage but nothing extra

Luckily for us, it was absolutely worth it! We called in for takeout about 15-20 minutes out from the restaurant and everything was ready by the time we arrived. Initial impressions: I was glad that we got takeout lol. There were essentially little to no parking spots and the restaurant was PACKED. Line out the door and an even larger queue inside! It did feel a bit cramped but fortunately I was just in and out. Service was great too! We got the Lion King and a sashimi platter. The lion king was SOOO good. I always get worried ordering this at new sushi spots because I feel like it can be a hit or miss (especially when they load waaay too much spicy mayo on it lol) - this roll had the perfect amount where it wasn't too overpowering. The ingredients tasted fresh too! As for the sashimi platter - every piece was thick and fresh. I'd definitely come back for takeout! Make sure you call ahead of time.

If I knew that I would've just ordered a different roll as the price didn't change. Rolls were okay but overpriced at $18 per roll. And even more so with my missing topping. The service was good--the servers were very friendly and attentive, and our food came out pretty quickly after we ordered as well. We ordered two of the sashimi sampler alongside the hamachi lover roll. I liked the roll! The ratio of fish, rice, and avocado were great. The sashimi sampler, however, was a little disappointing. The presentation was a little awkward--long, thin cuts of fish folded up into little bowls and scattered with greens. 4 of the 6 pieces were seared, which I have never expected when ordering sashimi. The pricing was a little on the higher end of normal, and, while the food was decent, it doesn't outdo any of the other local sushi spots that I have visited in the area. The roll was ~$17 and the sashimi sampler nearly $18. Overall, I think Goku Sushi is a decent spot. If I'm nearby and craving sushi, it is definitely in the running, even if it isn't my first choice. I'd personally ask for details on the contents of any of their samplers/combos in the future, though.
