The food were great. The broths were light and nicely balanced with flavour, not too salty. The shrimps in the Sapporo Miso Ramen were cooked perfectly but the pork in the Chirashu Ramen was a bit chewy. The soy sauce served with the Agedashi Tofu had a hint of sweetness which was quite refreshing to the palate. Overall, the food satisfied our cravings but the promptness and accuracy of the service could be improved.

Chicken and waffles. But not the usual southern style or Harlem New York kind of chicken and waffles. First of all, deep fried dark meat that's boneless. Paired with fluffy waffles. What makes this combo different and standing out from everywhere else? The waffles has a sweetnees to it. The Chicken, topped with honey garlic sauce that's more honey-ey than it is garlicky. And parmesan cheese. Yes. Parmesan cheese. The combination of the 3 makes for a medley of flavours thats a great trio to hit the taste buds. We ordered three ramens and a karaage and came for the curry lamb chop ramen special for 19.99. The photo showed a big lamb chop but what I got was tiny. My bowl was the last to arrive and it was wrong. They gave me sliced lamb even though we pointed at the lamb chop photo. They took it back and I sat there waiting while everyone else ate. When the correct ramen finally came the lamb chop was noticeably small and dry. When we brought up the size difference the staff just said that is how it is. No apology and no effort to explain. I also overheard the staff talking about the order and the manager did not sound happy. Whether she was upset at me or her team, the whole vibe was uncomfortable. Personally I found the 0.5 a nice tingle; it was good. Made my nose run. But I'm totally getting the level 1 next time. My friend however tried a sip of my broth, spit it out and said poison poison because of the heat Mind you, his King of Kings was a level 1. Which to me tasted creamy and delicious. I love a good pork bone soup and I opted for the Spicy Charsu because of the pork bone base. I loved the broth. It was perfection. The noodles were so fresh . The portion size was enormous. I kept eating and more noodles appeared. The Charsu had an amazing flavor to it . Smoky and delicious . My friend is a larger man and even he commented on the portion size saying he would be ok with a smaller size as he was so full. Good portions for your money. We also had the Gyoza and the TakoYaki. The broth was magma red, but it was not as spicy as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, it was spicy but not to the point where it would warrant a warning. The spicy broth tasted like a mix of Buldak sauce and Capsaicin, but didn't have much depth. I finished my ramen, broth and all and enjoyed most of the experience. The least favorite was the chasu and the egg as chasu did not taste fresh, and I could not taste the char on them at all. The egg was over-cooked and under marinated which was disappointing. It's still one of the few ramen options in Durham but can't say it's comparable to the other Kenzo locations.
