My parents and I love this place! The original location we went to had closed down sadly. We stopped by Guelph on our way back from a trip and saw Kenzo had a location near us. We love the server at this restaurant. She's always so kind and welcoming. She even remembered us as we've been to this location a few times! The restaurant has a fairly calm environment despite it being a more chain, quicker eats type restaurant. We always order the black tonkotsu ramen. We find the black garlic oil makes the ramen 10x better!! 5/5 delicious ramen. Best ramen I've ever had.

This is my favourite ramen shop! I usually go to the Toronto location at Bay Street, and this location does not disappoint! It's very delicious and consistent with all their franchise locations. The restaurant is quite quiet and spacious. The staff are also really nice and attentive. I really enjoy their ramen with their really nice rich but not-heavy broth! The bowl really works well together, regardless of which ramen you get. It's not too salty and just a really nice, rounded flavour. I just wish ramen came a bit warmer. I definitely recommend coming here!

I rarely leave reviews on yelp. But after visiting this place here, I HAD to leave a review. First of all, I'm from Toronto and tried a multiple ramen place in Toronto downtown, North York, Thornhill and Richmond Hill, by far this place was one of the best few I would really recommend to others. Recommended by my local friend, I visited this restaurant with two other friends, and we ordered three appetizers to share and one ramen each. Appetizers- chicken karaage, pan fried hand made dumplings, and agedashi tofu; ramen - Spicy Charshu ramen, king of king ramen, and sapporo miso ramen. We loved all of the appetizers. Chicken was crispy and not over fried and their slightly sour fruit based sauce was a good complement to their chicken. Dumplings were very juicy and full to the skin. Tofu was saucy but not overly salty or had that tofu taste you can sometimes feel with raw tofu. I had spicy Charshu ramen with level 1 and it was a good spicy level for me (I'm Korean). I was surprised to see my bowl that it was essentially covered with Charshu and their pictures on the menu were actually true. Full of very fresh veg and bean sprouts i didn't see any brown or old vegs or bean sprouts until I finish my bowl. I tried other two soup bases thatvmy friends ordered and it was clear that the owner had a very good understanding of different soup bases. Each had distinctive soup base taste depending on their main ingredient (for example, soy, miso vs. Pork based) and again not overly salty or greasy. Will definitely visit again when I'm ever in Guelph. Highly recommend!!!

Tonkotsu Ramen. I ordered for takeout and they separate the broth and noodles for easy transport.

My ramen prayers have been answered. So glad to see another ramen joint open up in Guelph and one that I've loved for years, Kenzo! Had my favourite Tonkotsu along with Gyoza and Chicken Karaage for the kids. They just opened so there weren't any Donburi dishes or my favourite, Takoyaki balls yet. Can't wait for them. Delicious food, very friendly service and worth a visit!

Definitely worth trying. Flavours, freshness, service, atmosphere, cleanliness, everything was exceptional. We had a great experience here. We will definitely be back to cure our ramen cravings! Prices are about $10-$15 for a bowl and it's a large bowl packed with noodles, broth and toppings. Give this place a try!

Came around noon on a friday for lunch. They give you an option of ground chicken or pork; I got chicken. The amount of chicken was quite generous. The menu said they drop an egg in here. You cannot really see it but will definitely taste it in the broth. If you don't like slimy thick soups, this dish is not for you. Addition of the egg makes the soup thick at the top. Service was acceptable considering the restaurant was packed during my time here.

Had the veggie noodle dish and it was delicious. The tofu could have been deep fried a bit longer. But definitely enjoyed the dish

I had king of kings ramen and it was awesome. Not too spicy, just a little kick. We also had gyoza (dumplings) and they were very juicy. Our server Kathy was great :) I went with a friend who doesn't like spicy food and Kathy helped us with recommendations. This restaurant is located in a plaza so there are ample parking space which is a HUGE plus for me. There are Food Basics, Longo's, and several banks in the area so I can get some errands done and have ramen at the same time. Great location

Located in a convenient location with lots of parking, Kenzo Guelph is a must place to visit for japanese ramen in the area. I ordered the King of King ramen with extra toppings and the gyoza- the broth was pleasantly spicy and the gyoza was cooked nice and crispy. Definately better than the other Kenzo ramens I've been to. The matcha drink was also a nice refreshing way to end dinner as well. Highly recommend!

A ramen so close to home, I'm not complaining. I definitely like this better than the one in Waterloo. Friendlier staff and better broth. This one also has the spicy ramen where you can get your ramen at diff spice levels.

Tonkotsu Ramen with 2 extra half eggs (.88 cents each) and extra noodle (2$) Creamy, not too salty. Tender meat and delicious eggs!!!

-Wonderful service -delicious food -nice atmosphere -fair pricing Highly recommended!! (Split for 2 lighter eaters) **order extra half eggs .88 cents each :P

The tonkatsu ramen is the best one I've had from any ramen shop! It's flavorful but not too greasy. The agedashi tofu is delicious as well!

I sat right up at the bar and ordered the Gryphon as a combo with their edamame and pop. The ramen was pretty decent and I found that the noodles had this perfect bounce and bite to it which I really liked. I think the best bite though was the spicy edamame. I just couldn't stop eating it! Service was quick and attentive and overall, I had a good experience. I guess the only downside was that the portions were a bit small for the price.

Tofu Tokyo Salary Man - the broth light and perfect flavour and miso notes coming through. The noodles perfectly cooked with a slight chew. The almost blackened tofu with sesame crust was amazing. Tofu Kaizen Warrior- similar flavours coming through. The tofu good and the broth a bit more saltier, but not bad. Tofu Spicy Negi - the broth a lot less spicier than I expected. The chilli oil drizzled is a nice touch and some toasted sesame oil finished this ramen. All the above were vegan, which makes this place unique and not just a dish or two for vegans like us. The only negative we felt was the temperature of the broth - much less hotter (temperature). Didn't have gayoza's available. I guess we have something to look forward to. Regardless - a must for vegan ramen lovers.

I saw it on Ubereats and saw there was a BOGO going on so I ordered it. I was pleasantly surprised at the complexity and variety of dishes they had! If you crave Asian food, I definitely recommend this place. This place seems to primarily be for hotpot, but I can understand with covid it's harder to see that side right now. Nonetheless, they have many options outside their hotpot as well. I got the seafood with vermecilli noodles for my partner and a Mala spice with fish noodles for myself. The beef pho was a BOGO option so I got them for tomorrow's meal. (the BOGO list was quite limited). They were delicious and I found the portion sizing to be quite nice! The soup was very very flavorful and hits the spot. Again something that I haven't found in the KW area at all until now and would crave (since it can be found commonly back home in Toronto) Packaging, wait time and everything was fine. Why it's not a perfect score is because of its price point. It's a lot pricier than some other places. Their primary feature is hotpot and noodles. The hotpot options seemed fairly nice but there's also a few other hotpot places just around the corner too. With the noodles, you can get the same large portion (but different noodle type, same richness in broth though) for half the price that they set it at here. I personally see this place as somewhere I'd get ever so often, or special occasions only. For student prices, I'd probably look to go elsewhere. However, you can't deny how good their broth is, so it's not a big enough deal to knock off a star completely.

Soft open alert!…read more Santosei is now in KW, in the Henry's plaza on Fairway across from the TD Canada Trust. With social distancing, they can only seat 3 tables, so hopefully you get there when they're not busy. The current soft opening hours can be found on their website. They open at 3pm and close in the evening. I was super stoked when this place opened up. I love ramen and have been wanting a new place that was near and dear to my heart in TO. My friend and I sat down rather quickly and was handed the short menu. I ordered the black tonkotsu - tonkotsu broth was beautifully smooth on the tongue. The black garlic oil added the needed flavour to kick this bowl up a notch. The thick noodles were bouncy and chewy. The chasu on it was ok - the flavour wasn't amazing, but it did fall apart when you pick it up. The soy egg was very nicely cooked, Perfectly uncooked on the inside and solid on the out. My friend ordered the tan tan noodles. What we were expecting were spicy noodles with a bit of a peanut flavour, as regular tan tan noodles are. This bowl came with small bits of ground pork, bamboo shoots and noodles. The soup was not spicy. It actually lacked a lot of flavour. There was a ton of grease in this one as well. I would say that this was a fail. For me to take someone on their first experience of Santosei, this is a stay away for us. It will not make a non ramen eater a ramen fan. We also ordered the spicy slow cooker chicken wings. This was by far the best thing we had that day. Very nice spice to it (with that said, I eat very spicy. so If you can't take spice, be warned that this might be a little too spicy for you). The mellow flavours of star anise and soy was really really good. Overall, the service was great. There was a ratio of 1.2 servers to every socially distanced table. They were attentive to our looks and needs of attention.
