Really cozy small easy-to-miss Ramen spot in Downtown London. Friendly staff welcomed us . The service was extremely quick: once we ordered, it was but a couple of minutes before our bowls arrived. The Tonkotsu Miso ramen was deliciously rich, creamy. The chashu was excellent and pretty thick. The Karashi ramen was decent. The noodles were tender and all the toppings were great. Personally, I found that the spice overwhelmed the other flavours of the broth. That's coming from a guy who loves his spice, and whose favourite ramen dishes are beyond spicy. 100% recommend to anyone looking for authentic Japanese cuisine in Downtown London. Located in downtown London, Ontario we drove by this place and then almost walked by it. Sign is not apparent and can be easily missed. We came for a late lunch and the place was empty. With the exception of some wall art the interior is unremarkable. Washrooms are downstairs. Menu has good selection of ramen and donburi's. Separate menu for snacks. Ramen options are sectioned into The Basics, Hakata Ramen and Signature Spicy Ramen. Food was okay. Potions are generous and broth was decent but not amazing. We paid 80cents for the extra eggs because yummy! Very generous serving with plenty of toppings to broth ratio. We also had the gyoza which had a crispy fried side and a delish dipping sauce. I really liked the branded bowls and chopsticks. A nice touch. Service was quite quick even when it started to get busy. We just went for water this time to try out the food with a clear palate. Came here with a group of friends before a concert in Downtown and I'm sure glad I did. This place is great! I ordered myself a Shoyu Ramen and it was absolutely delicious. The broth tastes great and the other things they put inside the ramen helped further add to the taste. Even better, it only costed $10. A great deal if you ask me! The atmosphere inside is very laid back, clean and quiet, even when it is busy. If I'm being absolutely picky, my only minor "complaint" would be that it can be hard to access this restaurant - because it is Downtown, after all. But that's only a minor inconvenience when you consider how great this restaurant is. It's great to see there are a lot of great ramen places in London. I'll definitely be back here if I have any business in Downtown, or if I'm nearby and want to order takeout or eat in. read more

We went here on a whim as we were too lazy to walk to OEV for Thai. Formerly Mas Cafe, this small looking restaurant is huge inside. They were very busy for a Tuesday night as almost every table was filled. We ordered pork dumplings which were amazing! My partner ordered the Netsu Ramen while I ordered the Spicy Charsu Ramen. Both bowls were filled with fresh vegetables, ramen and broth. We both ordered chicken as our meat choice. I have had ramen before the spicy variation was a nice change. So excited for a new ramen place in town! Didn't end up trying their ramen though...From what I saw on their menu only one option was vegetarian friendly. My friends enjoyed theirs though. Ended up going with the Yakisoba which was alright--a little underseasoned in my opinion. It came in an impressive sizzingly plate though. I was excited to try out this new joint but was a bit disappointed. I tried their Tonkotsu ramen: the broth tasted pretty simple and the noodles were more doughy than chewy. The meat was tender, however. Overall, it was an unexciting bowl of noodles. They also charge $1 for a basic cup of tea, which I find interesting. I would lean towards going to Sakata for my next bowl of ramen. I might come back to try one of their Dons. read more

I'm very excited to have another ramen shop in London. Kenzo has a big variety to choose from, it showcases different styles from all over japan. I had the spicy challenge ramen, which unfortunately was not very spicy but tasted amazing regardless. However the waitress was nice enough to bring out some pepper extract so we were able to season it too our liking. I highly recommend the gyoza as well. Definitely will be returning. I am no ramen or noodle expert by any means. However, I do enjoy good food and have learned to enjoy a variety of foods. My friend and I came in and tried their tonkotsu & shoyo ramen. Overall, it was a good experience. We came on a Sunday afternoon... it wasn't that busy. We were seated quickly and had our orders taken pretty fast too. Washrooms are in the basement and can be a little spooky... they were clean, just a little scary to walk to. Our server explained they are a franchise that has other locations (ie Toronto) Their noodles are homemade and prepared onsite. The food: - broth was pretty good -noodles were meh. - egg & meat were delish! Soo.... overall, not bad! Would I come here all the time? Probably not. But I would come to suffice my ramen craving. This is probably my favourite ramen shop in London! From my experience, the place had great service and a wide variety of excellent food. I ordered the Spicy Ramen Challenge in Level 1 and it had the perfect amount of spiciness and flavour (but I'd like to try the level 2 next time because I love spicy food). The servers were very quick to tend to our needs as well whenever we asked for more napkins or water and would check up on us on a reasonable amount of time. Super excited to have a new ramen place open up right downtown! I found this place more authentic than Sakata Ramen, they even shout at you when you enter like at izakaya bars in true Japanese fashion (could be louder though). One thing I love is how broad their menu is; miso is very salty beware! The tonkatsu-miso ramen was a great combo, highly recommend that one. At such an affordable price I would definitely come back. For some reason only I got the chilli flakes on the side, and they're a great addition so ask for it! read more

Signage is at people level (not on sign band) so if your GPS says you've arrived, you probably have and missed the sign. Food was fast and it's definitely a college noodle joint but it was good and prices were fair. Toilet rooms are a nightmare though. All in all decent establishment when not considering the restrooms. read more

Shi-o ramen tastes like salt as expected, 100% better other ramen houses that bring Tonkotsu and said it's Shi-o. Shoyu ramen are also outstanding, very light taste of Shoyu not overpowering other components in the bowl. Gyoza is bigger than others and really good. Takoyaki is the highlight ! I've been here a few times and every single time I leave here feeling full and ready to take a nap. They have so much selection that it can be hard to choose from but my favourite so far is definitely the spicy challenge level 1. The taste is amazing but the spice is real. I love it because they sear the pork belly which takes it to a whole other level. For those who don't like spicy I suggest the black garlic tonkotsu. I enjoyed the ramen from this place! We ordered delivery from here. The pricing is normal I guess for ramen (same as toronto). The flavour is great with the broths. It's costly to add more toppings. We enjoyed the texture of the noodles. It had the chewiness and the softness to it that good ramen should have. The broth was fantastic, whether it was spicy or plain. I got the spicy broth, and it was delicious. My husband had the dipped noodle ramen, which he enjoyed very much. This has got to be the ABSOLUTE WORST ramen I've had in years. The broth is nothing close to what ramen broth should be like and the noodles are not right either. It's basically some light soup with noodles bought from grocery store topped with a bunch of veggies for $12. Other than that the interior of the restaurant is terrible with no AC either.
