I believe that possibility this restaurant is owed by a happily married couple, and they themselves prepare and serve the food or they hire only sweet happy people. They are very cute, smile a lot, check if you have everything you need. The place is clean, food tastes good. The sushi was good size, so not too big, and with focus on the filling and with a thin rice coat which is great because I didn't have to remove the excess rice like I have to do in other sushi places. They looked like very big roll pieces, because of their respective presentations, but were actually hiding very manageable pieces of sushi. I found it surprising and odd to come at lunch time with lots of available parking and seats, the place was not overly busy. Compare that to the Surrey (Guildford ) location that is always full and overflowing with both customers and cars trying to park. Guess it makes sense once you experience both the food and service at the Langley location, both IMHO need work as the quality and quantity of their sushi is lower grade and literally half the portion sizes for their sushi compared to Surrey location, and the service at Langley is literally zero smiling and not overly friendly staff, while Surrey is upbeat and friendly. Despite the Langley location's inside being more bright with better seating options with proper tables compared to Surrey relying on flexible bench seating to be shared, that does not make up for much. IMHO go to the Surrey location for a better quality overall experience.

I can taste fish based broth and egg custard was very silky and smooth. Decent amount of ingredients sush as shrimp, slice of fish , bean and shimeji mushroom. I wish they served it slightly cooler than too hot. Ankimo - Great item. Monkfish liver was rich and paired with scallop and shrimp so well. Sauce was just ok. Grilled black cod was another great item. Crispy and juicy, just perfectly done. Blue fine tuna was covered by salty marinated sauce which was great when wrapped with seaweed. Cooked egg was just ok Tenpura - Seafood stuffed vegetable was my favorite. Others were also decent. Highlight and stand out item was 9 pieces of sushi. Honmaguro(bluefine tuna) was good. Delicious. Kinmedai(Gold eye snapper) -- My favorite. Texture was very soft and chewy, It was great item. Hokkaido sea urchin - Actually, this one was just ok. I wish it could be more creamy. Unagi - One of the best item. It was so fluffy and soft right after chef cooked and served. This is a must try item. Daily miso soup with clam - I can taste fish broth (dashi) flavor so well. Clam was delicious. It was good. Dessert - Kinako coated mitarashi dango -It was nicely chewy and soft. I wish there were more sauce on it. Overall, it worth visiting this place. Unfortunately, they have a 6-month wait and I was not prepared so I ended up booking it for our anniversary in May. The food was phenomenal and delicious! I love the chawanmushi loaded with goodies inside. The ankimo (monkfish liver) dish was so tasty with the scallop and prawn. Black cod was cooked to perfection! The nigiris are all so fresh. We quickly put ourselves on the waiting list for after September so we can come here again soon! There's a parking lot just next door. The place inside is small and intimate. Service is great!
