Appt took 2 hours. Dr. Homesley was unprofessional, discussing her political and religious views. Never again.

I am SO SORRY that someone would write a post like that about Doctor Gary!! Obviously this person…read moreis NOT from Ramona!! In Ramona you have doctors that are "REAL" Human beings!! I Have seen Doctor Gary for more then 8 years and EVERY time I see him he has been more then professional as well as personable!! He is about the ONLY doctor who schedules his appointments around YOUR Schedule and not his!! Due to the cost of being on Medicare I wanted to get my eye exam through him and then take the script to Walmart to get my glasses cheaper!! I called for an appointment and had one in less then a week!! That was for an eye exam ONLY!! I say this for a GOOD Reason!! Prior to this I called another VERY long standing and what I thought to be VERY Good eye doctor that I saw about 25 years ago and 15 years ago for glasses!! Both times I had Medi-Cal so I knew she took Medi-Cal/Medi-Care!! I am in DIRE need of glasses and "THEIR" soonest date for me to have an "Eye Exam" is June 15!! I am SORRY but From the beginning of April to June 15 is a RIDICULOUS time to make someone wait for an exam!! I am sure had I planned on getting my glasses there, my appointment would have been much sooner!! Doctor Gary accommodated MY Schedule with an appointment that was in just a few days KNOWING I only wanted my script so I could go to Walmart to have it filled!! He is ALSO a VERY Thorough doctor!! Your kids probably got a Way more thorough eye exam through him then what they would have gotten at Costco!! I know for a fact he ANALYZES The ENTIRE Eyeball and NOT just the vision!! I am sure he was VERY surprised when I decided to go with him to order my glasses!! I am very glad to keep my business "Up The Hill" for such a fine doctor even if the cost is just slightly more, ALTHOUGH he did give me a WONDERFUL price on my Bifocal Glasses!!

And he's given both of my kids yearly eye exams. He will take all the time needed to make sure that your getting good care, he'll answer as many questions as you can think of regarding yours eye's and the health of your vision. If you want someone who will go above and beyond what any regular eye Dr. would do then go see Dr. Gary as he is affectionately known through out Ramona.

I have been going here for about 2 years, but I think it's time to go find a business that cares…read moreabout client needs. These two stars are only because I had a good eye exam experience with them, and it was a delight working with Dr. Jay. I think their rude manager and staff, and overall reluctance to help is their problem. I ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses from them about a month ago. At the time of ordering they told me that it would be ready in two weeks. I leave for a month-long trip out of the country in two days and that was the sole reason I ordered the glasses so far in advance. After multiple calls to enquire, all they keep giving me is answers like we can't do anything to expedite them, our hands are tied, our insurance dictates the lab, etc. I have been with the same insurance for 8 years so it's hard for me to see how my insurance suddenly has stopped working efficiently. They behaved as if I never mentioned my month-long trip ever. They are leaving me voicemails saying your glasses will be ready next Wednesday and the team will promptly call you. Well, my phone will be off and I won't be in the country next Wednesday. One of their rude employees even said "I know everyone would rather have their stuff expedited and have them before time", well after a month of waiting I feel I am hardly asking to "expedite" anything prematurely. The manager didn't even return my call back because I missed her first call and she left me a voicemail after that when I returned her call she wasn't available an di could never get hold of her. It's like they have just decided to not help customers out AT ALL. They are not ready to accept any blame or fix anything and talk to me as if I am at fault for their incompetence. After so many good reviews, I genuinely thought I had found a good optometry in my new community as I value local businesses so much but I am reluctant to do any transaction with them in the future. I know losing ONE customer might not affect businesses but I shouldn't have to beg for good customer service. I am highly saddened and disappointed as a customer to be working with businesses that have no heart, soul, or empathy.
