After having 2 other companies provide quotes, we decided to go with John and that proved to be a great decision. John listened to our requests and took the time to explain the best approach to the project while answering our questions. From start to finish Anastasia and John did a great job communicating schedule, progress, etc. Anastasia got all documentation needed to us promptly and professionally. I would highly recommend John and Anastasia for any home network, audio, visual, wiring, or 'smart home' projects. read more

I moved into a newly built house on Friday. Over the weekend, John ran a network drop into a BR that the builder hadn't put one in, set up my complex AV system including in ceiling rear channel speakers, helped wire my complicated home office setup, and installed a complete security system. He did a great job and is also a very nice guy. Highly recommend Surprise Tech Guy!! read more

John is an amazing tech and home theater guy. Recently moved here and John set up home router and computer equipment expertly. Also had him install speakers in the ceiling and mount our TV on the wall. Another home run! Highly recommend this service. read more

Where do I start, John is an impressive hardworking intelligent AV guy. He was quick to communicate with me through Yelp and had my home AV scheduled right away. I needed my new TV hooked up, attached to wall with wires hidden behind the wall. He also programmed my new Harmony Touch Logitech universal remote. We scheduled a late appointment for Friday and was running an hour behind and was nice enough to call and let me know. He stayed late to finish my setup even though I have the worst internet in my area. Very professional, courteous & super clean. He even cleaned up behind my furniture for me with his shop vac. Can't say enough about these guys and will be using them again soon. read more

I have been a member more years than you have been in business. Your $75 dollar fee to me, was reduced to $25 by my credit card company. I have been in Arizona for over twenty three years, and "buyer beware" of this company. I have had a great company to handle all my electronic needs, now. Thank you for bringing yourself in the spotlight as the the real non- certified business in any area. Yelp said that they wanted me to stay on as their customer, since I only tell the honest answers about all the companies Review . You are a hack business who cannot take constructive criticism about you work and your outride false hoods about 90% of your false made up conversations that we never had! I have been in business for over thirty five years. Worked with many qualified and professional owners, never have I been personally attacked. I suggest you refrain from any more false personal accusations of me personally. I'm fully prepared to take legal action! read more

A very customer service focused company. John went out of his way to adjust his schedule to meet our installation needs. We wanted a large screen TV wall mounted and an existing TV relocated to a guest room. In addition, the large screen TV required ceiling mounted speakers, sound bar and sub woofer. John worked late into the evening and returned on Saturday to complete the job. A very nice installation and all components functioned as advertised. We are very pleased with the quality of the install and we would highly recommend John to anyone looking at an A/V home theater project. We have also hired John in the past to repair our computers and he did excellent work. He's readily available, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. He also goes out of his way to clean the work area when the job is complete. He's now our "go to guy" for computer repair and television/sound system install. read more

I highly recommend Surprise Tech Guy! John installed new streaming hardware since I couldn't do it myself. He was so patient with my husband and I, we are both senior citizens, and couldn't remember what email address we used 6 years ago when our original streaming system was installed, let alone the password!! . John was professional, kind, patient, understanding, who did quality work! All around great customer service!! Just a note: I only write good reviews when I truly recommend a company and had a good experience, so for those that read my review, you will be very happy if you decide to hire this company! I'd definitely hire him again! read more

I had John from Suprize audio and video here to hook up 2 home theaters. There's not a high enough rating for this fine young man. This is my retirement home and wanted to get the sound just right. John went above the call of duty. He told me what to get and all the right components. I will say no need to ever go to a walk in theater. We have one now and it rocks!!!!! Please let this man hook up your system. I'm amazed with the sound and tv. Spend the money buy the best you can you'll be glad you did. One thing now everyone will be at your house for movie night. John is absolutely the best. I have had him out a couple of times, and his work is always perfect. This last time he rescued my laptop from terrible lag times and slow start-up, programs not loading, etc. I called on a Thursday, John was here on Friday, and found some hardware issues. He took the laptop and brought it back better than new on Saturday! You can feel absolutely confident that you are going to get top-quality technical service, with a person who is totally professional and easy to deal with. read more

Called John because of good reviews. John installed a new modem for increased reception of WiFi Netgear Nighthawk in May of this year It has been a problem for the past week and today the WiFi died a quiet death at my house. The connection box, which is a no-man zone for people like me, was left in a ramble of wires and connections . I had to reattach a cord, that he installed, on the back patio that was poorly installed When I see all the good comments I wonder if I had the same John? Rather disappointed. I do not like to give a poor response so let's say it was perhaps a bad day. Dr John Peoria read more

John was super! He came in and did an assessment of my wi-if issues before selling me anything. He took the time to explain to me our problem and how to fix it in terms I understood. He was meticulous in his work and didn't leave until he knew everything was working well and that I was happy with the results. He even came back the next day to check on things even after he was paid for his work. We found out our previous wi-if/home audio tech "specialist" did a bad job. John came in and rectified it! Now our surround sound works great!! We feel like we're at the movie theater at home. Highly recommend John!!! read more

I moved to a new home in Sun City Grand and found Surprise Tech Guy on Yelp to help me set up my Home Theater Surround Sound system. I wanted to incorporate my existing big screen TV and 10 year old ONKYO tuner with new Bose speakers. I needed wireless rear speakers and also wanted to add a Blu Ray player. John did a great job of putting all the pieces together and making sure I understood how it was hooked up and how to operate my very unique system. John was very professional and competent. He gave me a follow up cell phone call to make sure everything was working ok. Quality work at a competitive price. Would highly recommend. read more

Exceptional service! John went above and beyond to help me unlock one of my email accounts by following up with the email company's customer service that I was unable to get ahold of. Extremely fast communication and always kept me up to date on the process of the issue I was having. He got it resolved with them within two days and I was back into my account again. John offers excellent customer service as he is really kind, nice, and patient. You don't see this kind of customer service very often anymore. He is on site so he can come to your home to help troubleshoot any network or electronic problem. Then he can follow up over the phone or email, and takes payments via phone, mail, or in person. Extremely convenient for the customer. No other tech was willing to help me with this problem except for him. Please go to him with whatever tech problem you have. read more

There just aren't guys like John anymore. John is beyond great. You will not be sorry if you call him. He is thorough and will do what he needs to to get the job done. We called him out for our TV and he came to us! He had to take the TV with him, but he kept us informed of anything he needed to do and made sure the TV was not separated from us for long. Thanks for everything John. If it's electronic, you are the man. read more

I am so glad I stumbled across Surprise Tech Guy on Yelp. I was looking to have additional ethernet ports installed at my home and all of the big name electrical companies advised they don't do that. Thank goodness for that because John was excellent. After messaging on Yelp, I was called almost immediately to set up on appointment and within 6 days, I had the ports installed (called on Thursday, consultation on Tuesday, install on Wednesday). After meeting John on Tuesday, I could see why all of the reviews on Yelp were outstanding which is why I immediately decided to move forward with him. I had a couple of questions after our initial consultation and again, John called almost immediately to answer my questions. He was easily one of the nicest and most respectful people I have ever worked with. On top of that, he did an outstanding job installing our ethernet ports and made sure to clean everything up from the work he did. Once we were done, John told me to reach out if I have any issues or additional questions about what was done. I could not be happier to have work done by the Surprise Tech Guy. Thank you, John! read more

Having a media wall installed and had John.. From surprise tech guy fix a few things. First he made sure all my wires in place and organized. He suggested a better wall bracket for my tv and also replaced the optical cable. Plus he installed an inferred transmitter to my system so I do not have to open the cabinet to turn on my surround sound. Could not have selected a better person for the job. John is the Best. He knows what is needed, honest and his price is very reasonable. Thanks John for a job well done. Steve S. Buckeye. Az read more

I know a lot of people write reviews but this is more than a review, this is a shot-out , High Five to the best Tech guy I have found. Just a little back story on my situation... I bought a house recently that was previously owned but a Tech guy from another company.. Needless to say the previous owner had the house all set up with speakers, Theatre room, surround sound, Subwoofers and anything that would make an entertainment room possible. When the previous owner moved out he took all the equipment with him and just left hanging cords for me to figure out. I called John at Surprise Tech guy and he came out (the next day) and hooked everything up for me to watch and entertain my guests on Thanksgiving.. He knew exactly what cords were which and how to make the best sound possible rock my house.. My family had their socks knocked off.. Not only that John also hooked up my dishwasher. Sears Dropped the ball on the installation (the day before Thanksgiving) and John new how to do that as well.. John is now officially MY GUY.. I got A GUY!! John is it!! Share the news he knows his entertainment and techy stuff.. read more
