I came here for my mother in law's birthday. Is so happened to be their second day! The food was delicious and the ambiance was amazing. One of the cutest Thai places I've been to. The service was great too! They even gave us a free slice of coconut cake for my mother in law's birthday! The only reason they lost 1 star is because they took a long time to bring out the red curry my mother in law ordered. By the time they brought it out, we had already basically finished most of the other dishes we had ordered. However, they did frequently check on us and apologized for the delay. I'm sure these are little things that will be ironed out in months to come. Overall, I would really recommend this place! I will be returning!

Delicious Thai spot in Simi Valley! The crying tiger and crab fried riced were sooo good! Also highly recommend the Thai iced tea & the Thai Arnold Palmer! Very clean and cute spot and the service was great!! Highly recommend checking this spot out, you won't regret it :)

Green Curry, Pad Thai & Thai Iced Tea to go

Went to Surin today for the first time - it's in Chado's old location. The new space is clean and nice, and the staff is super friendly (I got a free Thai tea just for being alive, I guess!). I enjoyed the green curry and pad Thai.

Amazing desert with Banana & Coconut! Melted in your mouth!

Wow!!! We have been going to a different Thai restaurant for years. Just heard about SURIN- had to give it a try. The food was prepared authentically and delicious. Generous and tasty portions. This is my spot from now on. The owners Pim and Nadia are so gracious. I pray SUCCESS for these folks.

Thai tea and coconut water

The best Thai in Simi Valley! They did a really nice job on the remodel, the recipes are delicious and the owners are so kind. It's family run and family friendly. My daughter loved the golden shrimp roll!

Lunch special and Satay

Service: owner is very friendly...here customer service is great 4/5. Ambiance: ok Ambiance...3/5. Food: we tested with 3 plates: prik king, chicken satay, and pad see ew...over seasoned with salt...not so sure if this is a authentic Thai taste...we live in Thailand and for sure, it doesn't taste like Thai food...2/5.

Mango Sticky Rice

Went to their soft opening. A lot of food options which is great. Thai Tea was sooooooo amazing, the best thai out there. Mango sticky rice was phenomenal too. Shrimp Roll was divine with their sauce: jumbo shrimp was used and the flavor is just umami. Owner and service were great. She gave me free thai tea which is so nice of them and felt bad since it was just their soft opening. Portion could be a little bigger for the price, but they taste good.

Spicy seafood pad Thai

Went in the second day after change of ownership. And got the spicy seafood pad Thai. All I have to say is WOW, way better than before. The interior of the restaurant is much cleaner and relaxing than before as well. Natia was who had helped me out, extremely friendly. Will keep going back.

Pad See Ew with chicken

Thai Noodles recently changed their name to Chada. I've been to this location one other time and remembered thinking it I had to go back since it the food tastes pretty authentic to me. This time I ordered the pad see ew because I was craving fried noodles and it didn't disappoint. I ate the entire thing in one sitting! the Chinese broccoli was perfectly charred, noodles weren't overcooked at all and chicken was fresh and perfectly seared. I love adding pickled chilies to my noodles so that did add an additional layer of flavor but it wasn't needed! Always have to have Thai tea to pair with your meal when visiting a Thai establishment. The Thai iced tea was perfect. wasn't too sweet or too strong of tea. Service was great. Sweetest older lady served me and my food came out only a few minutes after I ordered!

Tom Kha Soup

Service was sweet, ambiance was nice, and the food was delicious. We ordered all our basic dishes to try before diving deep. Tom Kha Kai to start - really tasty and warm. Next we had the crab fried rice and shrimp pad Thai which were both prepared so well. It tasted authentic and homemade. They do not skimp on ingredients. I shall be back to try the other dishes.

Yummy coconut water! Can't get this just anywhere!
Madonna C.

Tables were a little dirty when we sat down...nothing a little napkin can't fix! Because the food here was fresh and very tasty! Service was ok! If I'm even in the area I'd go back!

Pretty much every time which is what pushed me to actually write a review. The food/coffee is way overpriced for what you get as well. When I went recently, they added the up charge to add cold foam and didn't even ask if I wanted it when I went in person. BUT, upon checking the online ordering on their website, it is so much more clear that that was an optional add-on. Kind of felt like they were just upcharging me to upcharge idk... Ambiance was good. Quiet, clean and the plants all around are a great touch. Don't get me wrong, the coffee and food are great, especially the speciality drink. Just be ready to pay over $10 for a drink on the summer specials. Not worth it at all.

She's also fascinated with the process, and options for flavors. I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't grow up to be a dessert artist, actually. The last time we stopped by it was a Saturday afternoon. I have decided that I am fondest of ordering milkshakes from them. That's because it's difficult to find any places making shakes from a non-dairy milk base. There are more options for plant based ice cream, but not so many for milkshakes. SG just came up with her own concoction with several flavors and a mix in. DH was full from having a frozen swirl at Costco when we stopped to eat "real food" first, so he just tried some of each of what SG and I had ordered. We sat outside on a pleasantly warm afternoon and enjoyed spending the time together. That's pretty much been our experience when we've visited Sub Zero. The employee who crafts the sweet treats makes a fun show out of it, and then we get to enjoy the delicious results. Sitting out front with a view to the south of the hills in the waning afternoon hours is really chill - ha ha. It's become a peaceful spot for our family.

If you are a TCG collector, be sure to check out their Instagram, because they host a lot of events in their connected event space. Parking is super easy since it's located in a large plaza. The staff are also super friendly and helpful. This is a local favorite, so if you're in the Simi Valley area, definitely stop by to support!

When I ordered, the cashier told me they were out of whole milk for the day so my only option was going to be an alternative milk which I didn't mind. I was charged extra for the alternative, and while it's a small amount difference, I feel like this is something a great cafe would offer complimentary for the minor inconvenience as there was no other milk choice unless I chose not to order it at all. The matcha itself was lackluster. It tasted like milk and syrup, and had no umami or earthiness that usually comes with an accurate matcha profile. I also tried a sip of my brother's Hojicha latte and it was also very sugary and lacked the Hojicha flavor. Unfortunately, all the high ratings did not translate to my experience and I don't think the drinks, at least the matcha and hojicha, are a good representation of how they usually taste at a more specialized and authentic cafe. If you're looking to get good matcha, I highly suggest Re:Coffee in San Fernando valley!!

I've been to Italy multiple times and grew up around Italian baking, and this is hands down the best frittelle I've ever tasted. This is a real Italian bakery, and once you step inside, the space completely opens up--high ceilings, a beautiful interior, and a hidden, speakeasy feel you'd never expect from the street. He gave us two fritelles and I also got a sugar free hazelnut latte and my fiance got a cannoli. They had a variety of syrups for lattes. My latte tasted just right because I didn't want anything sweet. The fritelle was good but had too much crème filling for me. If you liked really filled donuts then you'd like these.
