I was SO excited to go here because of the amazing location, and was SO disappointed. Disappointed isn't even the right word, I left this place fuming. We walked in and waited by the host stand for about 10 minutes. Several employees walked by us and didn't say anything. Finally I asked one of them if it's seat yourself, and they said yes. There was no sign and not one of the employees who walked by thought to say something. We walked around outside looking for a table. It was "pirate" night, so people just left their stuff at a table and had their kids run around. It was a nightmare. We decided to eat inside at the bar. We waited for 20 minutes for a bartender to come to us. We asked him for a food menu, which he literally threw at us. After looking over the menu, nothing really peaked our interest, especially since half of the items were lobster and I wasn't confident that it would be any good at this point. We had already waited so long that we just decided to get nachos and pretzel bites. We waited a FULL HOUR FOR NACHOS. On top of that, it was just melted cheese on chips with a few jalapeños and olives. No salsa, no sour cream, just dry. I asked for a side of sour cream, it never came. Don't go here before a concert. That's what we did and ended up being late. This place sucks. read more

The drinks come in a plastic cups and are 9 to 11 dollars a pop. Our server was new i believe...she didn't multi task properly. Serving a heaping order of hot Nachos with no sour cream and salsa? So we asked for some..then we watch her clean a table??!! Then she forgets ...we asked again and got 2 tiny cups..."i'll be back with 2 more ...never came....super view lousy service read more

This was my first time here. I am disappointed. Every time I went to get a drink at the bar I felt ignored. I thought that it would be fun to sit on the outdoor deck right off the beach, but for the most part all I saw was people that had been served too much spilling drinks and almost running into other patrons. There drinks were also sub par to other bars on the beach and more expensive. I will not be returning. read more

Our server Leslie was great. Prompt service and the drinks stayed full. Food was great and music was relaxing. Great Reggae! Will come back for sure read more

Great place to sit out by the water and have a few drinks! Leslie our waitress was great and definitely understood the "sit back relax and enjoy" mentality! Didn't feel rushed at all. Yummy drinks and yummy food! read more

Love coming here on Sundays. Reggae Sundays in the summer are the best. Leslie has been our waitress a few times and we love love her! This is a great place to visit in the summer time. read more

Very disappointing. I reserve my table at 5:45 PM was about 10 minutes late . I called to confirm my reservation, the lady told me there was no problem . When I arrived , I asked to be seated near the ocean in an empty table and that's when all the trouble started . The manager came to me telling that I cannot seat on the ocean side despite the fact many tables were open and despite the fact that I have a reservation. She falsely claimed that the tables are numbered and reserved . After a back and forth and debunking her false statement, she reluctantly gave me the ocean view . But only to ask me to leave 40 minutes later pretending that I did not order food ( which I did ) and she had a reservation a 7 pm . That Makes me the only person she asked to leave. I have been to the most finest restaurants and was never treated that way . In situation like that, a black person like me cannot help asking if he was treated this way just because of the color of his skin. read more

Max served us glory on a plate, a severe gentleman with a knack for providing patrons with ridiculous amounts of pleasure. I actually came twice. read more

Ordered the Texmex bowl which says it's mixed baby greens.... it was just arugula and if I knew that I wouldn't have ordered it so I just ate the toppings. I got a drink that came with a souvenir cup once I finished my drink the waiter asked me if I wanted a mother drink I said no and he took my cup and threw it in the trash behind me which I thought was odd since it's a souvenir. For my salad and my boyfriend's lobster roll along with one drink the bill was over $100. Definitely just paying for the view when you go here. read more

My husband and I went down to check out the Surfside because my high school class reunion will be held there next summer. We like it - it was a cool rainy day so virtually empty but the bartender, Abby, is a neighbor so we enjoyed spending some time chatting with her, the view could not be better. I think it'll be a great spot to get together with classmates and celebrate! read more

I really love this place. Great location overlooking the ocean. Fiid is simple but good. Loved they allowed dogs on the deck. Unfortunately, dogs are no longer allowed post Covid, so definitely disappointed about that. read more

Awesome food, awesome drinks, awesome service! We have Evan as a waiter and he was so polite, kind, and on top of making sure everything was a great experience. Thumbs up! read more

First off this place has a beautiful setting in the beach once you get past the dirty tables and don't use the bathroom. It's the most appalling filth I have ever seen in any restaurant . The drinks we had were specialties and they were all juice . Then we ordered the spicy cauliflower appetizer and the artichoke dip and we should of known it was going to be bad when we asked our waitress if it was a good choice and she kinda shrugged her shoulders and said "yea they are ok". We got the cauliflower which literally was in a paper bowl of chili sauce and oil. And the chips that were with the artichoke dip were so hard I thought I would break a tooth on them. The waitress never came over and asked how we were doing . I would never spend a dime here again ! read more

Love love love the outdoor seating area here. It's right on the water and is nice a spacious. We only went for drinks so I can't judge the food, but the drinks were pretty good. I got the fishbowl drink, it was tasty and came in a little plastic fishbowl that I could take home. My friend got a drink that was suppose to come with an eye patch and a hurricane cup he could take home and was told after he was given his drink in a regular plastic cup (and only because he asked!) that they were out of the cups but if he wanted an eye patch they had some in the back. We stayed for a couple hours and within that time they also ran out of fishbowls (this was only about 2pm in the afternoon). I would go back simply just because of how beautiful the view is outside, just don't expect the fun extras that are suppose to come with your drinks on the menu. read more

Lots of fun !!!! Love the atmosphere! Great music ! Love the ocean view , great to enjoy when your on vacation with friends and family !!!!! Love them rum drinks they have . So onto my next review of the restaurant owned by the sea glass. 5 stars for the drinks. Decent prices for the size. There was only 1 item out of the 4 that was ordered that was great, just a bit overpriced but it was good. The chicken sandwich ($16.00) the clam chowder was just ok, not horrible but nothing special. It came out warm, not hot and was made with powdered milk not cream. Not a great taste. The fish tacos that we usually get next door at the sea glass were quite larger. These were 3 tiny and I mean tiny pieces of haddock in the shells. Tasty but tiny. 6 -10 frozen onion rings (not fresh cut) edible though. So I saved the "worst" for last. The $15 chicken fingers!! Ok for $15 I would think you would get more than 5 tiny and again I say tiny fingers in a basket. I should of taken a picture of not only that but the looks on everyone's face when they arrived. We of course says something to the waitress , who was very nice by the way. Instead of management offering us more of them, they were taken away and of course taken off the bill. She came back and apologized but we told her it was not her fault. She does not run the kitchen. I did however asked her if we could just have gotten more as this was part of someone's meal. Her response was a bit strange. " At this point I don't think that's an option because the kitchen feels bad. so we just let it go. Just a side not.. the chicken sandwich could of fed all of us ! Who's in charge of the chicken in the kitchen lol!! read more

the place was a disorganized mess. Had to wait for a table even though most tables were empty. Waited 15 minutes to get our first beer. The hot dogs came out cold and the fries were some version of disgusting 'frozen' fries...and cold as well. Our server, however, was AWESOME! I honestly don't remember her name, but she had short red hair. She was the best part of the experience! Will never go back. read more

The food was good. Atmosphere out on the deck is good only because of the ocean view. Could stand some renovations and the service was terrible. No one to seat you and was there twice in one week and was ignored by waitstaff for a longer than comfortable amount of time without receiving a " I'll be with you shortly" or a menu drop so we could look at while waiting. First time I thought maybe an off day. Gave it another shot on a less busier day during the week only to have the same thing happen again. read more

Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because of the potential ambiance if there were actually a good band or should playing-huge deck right on the beach, a potentially great music venue. But the night we were there the only music was 2 lame steel drum players playing the most horrible version of fire on the Mt. I'd ever heard. Painful. Our server was nice and kept updating us on the status of our order. The kitchen was the problem. The food took an hour to get-2 lobster rolls with fries. After 1/2 hr she said our rolls were ready but not fries. The restaurant was not busy at all so this was weird. After another 15 min I said just bring the rolls which obviously had been sitting out. The lobster was not fresh at all- fishy tasting and waaay too salty. It was truly horrible. Fries came 15 minutes later and they were nothing special. For the location this could be such a great place. It is not. read more

just went to drink on deck late saturday night. fun atmosphere, got these rum punches in "mini" fishbowl glass, $12/each but i couldn't finish it. great music. people of all ages, all dress codes, mixing and getting along well! perfect time. sorry i have no info on food/waitstaff, since we bought at bar. fun for the purpose we went there for. will go back. read more

I was super excited to be able to sit on the water with a beautiful view, which is the ONLY reason I would give this place even 1 star. I not only was denied a drink because I had an out of state ID, which honestly was annoying but wasn't the main problem. We gave no problem after she informed me she couldn't serve me but it seemed like she began to avoid us. 10 min went by and we FINALLY got our drinks, which were wrong. She dropped the drinks off and ran off. 20 mins later we had hoped she would come and take our order and she never did. We actually decided to leave because we had waited so long. I wish so bad we had a better experience but I regret to say we didn't. read more

This is such a great location on the beach with live music. It is too bad the food sucks. I had the Lobster roll which looked like it was sitting around for a while. It had a lot of that white fat mixed in with the mayo and just did not look appetizing at all. The chowder was ok and not much in it. Come here for music and drinks, but not to eat. read more

Great deck with and outstanding view. Unbelievable spinich and artichoke dip. Decent prices for drink and good music.

The server Jeff is the greatest man/waiter/person/friend ever. He has forever changed my life and what I think of as "good" service in the food and restaurant industry. He will go above and beyond for any request you can possibly think of to please his customers. I 100% recommended Surf Side and more specifically Jeff! read more

Great spot! You could not ask for better views. The drinks are current and hip with some classic favorites thrown in. Great nachos and pretzel bites. Sadie or waitress was unbelievable. On a night that started out with some clouds rolling in ended with a rain storm. Sadie kept the positive attitude despite getting rained on. Always running back to check on us not hiding under the shelter. We were a fun group blowing off some steam and she was doing her part to keep all happy. Lorenzo the manager impressed us by coming over and introducing himself to us and asking how everything was. At that point watching the manager get rained on going around to tables thanking people and checking in I was very surprised. The whole staff we encountered was top notch and ensured everything would be great. Thanks to all for a fantastic time we look forward to our next visit. read more

The best view and outside deck on the North Shore!!! You are directly over the beach and ocean. You can't beat that. There's nothing like that on the North Shore or seacoast. The drinks are fun the service is friendly and the music is great! Reggae on Sunday nights!! You can grab a seat by the water or dance under the bandstand. There are snacks and a few lighter menu items or go to the Seaglass for finer dining first. Salisbury Beach has plenty of parking meters and a big parking lot. It's accessible by bus and taxi service too. read more

This was has poor management. My husband and I went there on a Sunday to go see some Reggae and we decided to get there early to beat the traffic and find a good set out in the pario.Aeound 4 o'clock a staff member was going around telling everyone that was there that they had to leave before 5 and get in line and pay a fee to watch the band. Here we are paying customers and they had the nerve to say that to us .How doea that even make sense.By 4:30 the line to get in was ridiculous and we have to give up our seat and get in line.HELL NO.I WILL NECER GO THERE AGAIN. read more

This was my first time here and wow what service! Friendly and fun location that has a great menu for the deck. I will be back again to reserve the VIP tent and enjoy more of the entertainment. Compliments to the management.. your workers are happy and the best on the coast. read more

I've been here many times for a few drinks. More often than not it is nearly impossible to get served in a timely manner. You have to flag down the bartenders, which I HATE doing. I feel rude and pushy when I must resort to that. I decided to try some food out on the deck one day this summer. That was a mistake. I ordered the pulled pork nachos. Who knew that nachos could be screwed up! A five year old could make better nachos in the microwave for me. The pork was drier than your grandmother's... Sand. Lol! And the cheese wasn't even melted. There were three of us in my party. We were all dissatisfied. I feel bad for the waitress that had to serve those embarrassing meals all day. I loathe this place, yet I keep giving it another shot. I've been "trying" the place since 2012. I might finally be done for good. read more

SurfSide - Bars Near Me - Salisbury, Massachusetts

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Not only is this the place to be in the summer with amazing water views, great drinks (Tailspin!) and food (chicken BLT yum!!) but the i honestly cannot say enough about the staff! Our waitress Katie was AMAZING! From the second we walked in she was trying to find the right seat for us (water view in the sun!) and the right drink and what we would like to eat! We went there numerous times during our 4 day stay and she ALWAYS came over and made us feel so welcome and special! I also have to mention the manager Lori, who took the time to personally come to our table over and over to make sure we were enjoying ourselves! It's pretty rare that a manager comes to your table and gets to know the customers. I have to say Lori, Katie and the staff at the Surfside really made our vacation! It was sad to leave!! Thanks so much! See you all again soon! read more

Very disappointed with this place. Service was horrible, food horrible, and not what they appear to be. We reserved 2 VIP cabanas while on vacation this past week. We were a party of 12 people, 6 per cabana. There was one waitress for 3 cabanas and she was also waiting on at least 6 other tables. Service was horrible. The waitress was so nice yet extremely busy, not her fault. Don't advertise VIP cabanas and not even give us The treatment we deserved for the money we spent. There were no so called "swag bags" as advertised, no gifts, no koozies and Hawaiian leis as advertised. For the money we spent we received absolutely nothing. The drinks were even falsely advertised. The only good thing was the view. read more
