Surfside Burger Bar is one of the most fun places to be in the summer at Lake Winnie. Period. Great food, vibes, and beverages - shitty parking. just because it's always busy and hopping!! They are one location I know has more tables than hands working, nothing bad about it - as the service is beyond smiles. Our gem waitress was delightful and conversational, very energetic and fun!!! Love going there and hanging out in the open air tropical, might be in Hawaii vibe. Definitely a great spot for outdoor energetic people and atmosphere!! Stoopid sauce is spicy, you are warned, it's good but has a kick!!

Great lunch in the igloo with friends. Wed been looking forward to stopping by and it did not disappoint! Everything was yummy and the service was fabulous!

Amazing place with great food! They also had live music which was nice. The slightly stoopid burger was delicious

Went on a Saturday, wanted to sit in the igloo.. but they said it was a 20 min wait, some were empty as well but ok. So we waited and about 15 mins later seated us in the tiny bar area! Our waitress was awesome ( not the first girl we encountered she was rude) we ordered And we all enjoyed the food , had the fried chicken aoili cilantro lime chicken sandwich , and a cali burrito & a child's cheeseburger. Place is cute but very small and has a beach vibe. Prices were kinda high.

We had an interesting experience at Surfside Burger Bar after being really excited to dine-in with our dog! We ended up ordering takeout. The food was very good but our experience was sub-par. We called the restaurant around 7pm on a Tuesday and immediately was told "takeout is going to be about an hour wait" so I asked if there is any available seating instead. We were already in Meredith walking the sculpture walk. They said there's a line waiting to get in then hung up. The women on the phone sounded flustered so I assumed they were understaffed, as everyone is. I wanted to order takeout, even with the hour wait, so I called back. Again, they tell me it's going to be an hour, I say it's ok and they transfer me to another person who told me "so you want to order takeout? and you know it's going to be an hour?" It felt like they really didn't want me to order and trying to scare me away. After we place our takeout order, we decide to walk over to see if there's actually a line for a table. Figured we could grab one and change our takeout order if we decided to eat-in. We get there and there's no line. I had a bad feeling about that! We look and there's quite a few tables open for outdoor seating, although it was cloudy and rain was in the forcast. A waitress comes over and I asked if we could grab a table, and explain that I just called and was told there was a line to be seated so we ordered takeout. She looked weary and said "It's about to rain.. are you sure you want to risk it" I understand restaurants are understaffed, but I couldn't have felt more unwelcome there. I wish I could have just cancelled the takeout order we placed. When our food was ready, an hour wait on the dot, we took everything home to eat. Thankfully, the food was very good! I'm not sure if it was an hour wait worthy, but it was tasty. I ordered the Silverback which had bacon, banana, blackberry jam and peanut butter on it. I will ALWAYS order a burger with PB if its on the menu, and this one didn't disappoint. The banana could have been sliced or flambéed, but it worked! The fried pickles could definitely be skipped. The fries & tots were both awesome! It would have been a much more enjoyable experience if we were treated better and if we were able to dine-in, but all in all, the food was very good so I'm giving it 4-stars. I understand times are tough with restaurants being understaffed, so I don't want to knock off stars based on that. The food was also pretty pricey ($13-$15 for just a burger, no sides) but everything is pricey right now...

The bad : Service is terrible and nonexistent, you have to order at the bar and pick up your own food. Of course, they ask for a 25% tip anyway. They upsold a beer right before closing, and then told us we have clear off. With the full beer they just happily to sold us. Also, food prices are absolutely disgusting. See the photo with the menu - $13 for a pretzel. Just absolute cash grabbing nonsense. The good: the outdoor space is quite nice. Large lawn, lots of options between picnic tables and Adirondack chairs. Some little trails in a wooded area (for disc golf, but still little paths to walk). The beer is good, at least the farmhouse and Scottish ales.

Love the place. Ample, huge barn style building with awesome beers, a huge Biergarten for summer…read moreevenings, and a truly welcoming vibe. And they also have live music every so often. We came here after attending the massive Gunstock Ski sale. We now have an après ski place coming back home from skiing at Gunstock. Really awesome ambiance and even better service. Just superb service with knowledgeable and friendly bar tenders who explained the brews and the intricate flavors. We tried both their IPAs, the Palmer's Towm IPA and their Lake Cruiser. Both superb. Then a Pumpkin ale that was awesome and a Sour that made us pucker (for the good). Then we thought about food.... Their flat bread pizza, pepperoni and hot honey, is the only thing that beats the Ragged Mountain flatbreads.... And then we had their Bavarian Pretzels which were a wonderful compliment... Overall a superb late afternoon.

A little bit of everything…read more... Dinner and drinks with the wife on September 19th Promptly greeted and seated indoor. First off, staff super friendly and attentive. Served the traditional "complimentary" chips and salsa which were good. I ordered the large 22 oz draft Bud Light (not sure it actually holds that much) and a little shocked it was $11 very over priced in my opinion . Wife had the speciality Skinny Margarita for $15.50 she enjoyed it. I had a second beer (not knowing the cost lol). Wife had the Hibiscus Margarita. $15.50 which she also enjoyed. Dinner- Wife had the Grilled Chicken Fajita Quesadilla (generous portion). She liked it and had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. I had the Fajitas Vida-it was a lot of food. with 3 tiny flour tortillas (could easily double). Decent taste, don't think I would get it again though. Everything was mixed together in sauce, which I thought was a little odd, but nice presentation. They may want to consider closing off the open space from the outdoor sitting and the bar. It's a smaller restaurant and with the big opening it allows for bugs to fly in. Had to shew off a few flies several times and I noticed the customers next to us doing the same.. Definitely coming from outside, the restaurant appears very clean!
