The place was cheery and bright. Lots of people eating. We came for a wine tasting. Service was very slow with two folks behind the bar juggling about six or seven separate groups doing tastings. It took us over an hour to get through the wines and ciders. Slow but nice... enthusiastic even, but so slow. Our feet were hurting from standing. The wines were certainly interesting. No grapes were harmed in any way at this winery. All were made with various berries from the area. I will admit that they have developed some very good berry based wines that are superior to the typical blueberry or huckleberry wine I've tasted. Still it's difficult to mimic a good Pinot Noir without grapes, etc. I could make a better argument for trying their ciders. I enjoyed a few of them. I did not try any sweet wines, so there may be a gem or two amongst those. Interesting place. One try was enough for me. read more

This was an amazing experience as someone visiting from Austin! The workers are great and very friendly, and the owner came by to say hi and invited us on a little tour of the wine-making process downstairs! It was so interesting to hear about the process, and we got a taster of what they were making at the time as well. We stopped in due to the yelp reviews. Took a few minutes to be seated. Hostess and waitress were cheery and pleasant. Beautiful interior. Note- on street parking only. We both got a semi sweet dry red- very good. Ordered a salad and sandwich and we shared. Food was really good and perfectly prepared. This would have been a 5 star review, however they added gratuity to a bill for 2 people and we weren't notified of the same . We are not accustomed to this so we weren't looking for it. We handed the waitress a $10 for her tip- she thanked us but didn't point out gratuity was also added to the bill. We would have told her to keep it regardless- but it's the point. We tipped 18 percent, obviously we didn't know there was a 15 percent gratuity already added. Make sure you check your bills before you tip!!! read more

We did the wine tour followed by the wine tasting. The owners provided an excellent story of how they got into the business and how they make the wine. The vibe there is relaxed and has a nice clean modern look to the place. We sampled 10 different wines, and we had some excellent wines. Everyone was super nice. Bought some wines. I started coming here the year it opened and I'm really sad about the changes (since there were winery cats!). The food menu used to have EXTENSIVE gluten free options such as wraps, sandwiches, flat breads and soups...now the options at dinner are like $40!! Also the cost of a bottle of strawberry rhubarb is $40, that's wild. No flights of wine either. I came up with a 4 with an average of my thoughts on the food (5) and the wine (3). Note: I'm not a huge wine person. The food we all had was delicious! ? One of my friends and I got paninnis (Roast Beef Spanakopita and "Slaw" Py Pig) and then did tradesies to we could each try both! I preferred the Roast Beef over the Slaw Py Pig because the latter was a tad sweeter than I like a sandwich. Our other friend got the Balsamic Fig Flatbread which was gone before either of the other two of us could ask for a taste haha. As for the wine, we all got the sweet flight. There was really only one that I cared for and my friends liked most of them, but did not like them enough to purchase a bottle. The winery itself is nice and they have the main floor, a loft area to sit or outside for seating. I don't think you'd regret paying them a visit. read more

Great winery with an inviting space. Wines are fruit forward which is a product of the ingredients they can and cannot source locally (since they can't grow grapes in this part of NH). I believe the petite blue is one of their more popular wines, but I really liked the red scare. They do fun events like movie showings and piano nights in the drinking/dining area upstairs. I wasn't able to, but if I have another chance I wouldn't mind stopping in for a piano night (I think the entry fee is $15). As of this writing, you get a 10% discount for checking in! This is also the first place I've seen sell half bottles. read more

Had a great time here while visiting the area during my anniversary weekend. My boyfriend and I arrived in time for the 3 PM tour on a Saturday. The winery was having a special in March where you could get the tour for free and then decide to pay for a tasting for $12 (normal tour and tasting is $25). What a steal! One of the owners gave us a tour and we were there with one other couple. He went through some of the history of the winery and I was amazed at how big they've gotten after starting in a garage as a hobby! What a great story! The owner we had on the tour was super friendly and happy to answer questions. We got to taste a newer version of their crab apple wine on the tour. Once we got upstairs, we were given glasses to do a tasting at the bar. We were given 1 taste for free of the kiwi wine that was on sale and then we could each pick 6 other wines that we wanted to sample. The woman behind the bar was awesome. She was knowledgeable about the wines and was doing well even though she had a ton of people to look after. There were other people who worked there and were going back and forth. I'm not sure why she wasn't given more help as she had about 5 different parties that weren't all going at the same pace. While I liked the friendly service, the tour and the bright, open space, the wines weren't really my bag. They tell you up front that most of their wines are drier and I'm more of a medium to sweet wine person. That's the only reason they have 4 stars from me instead of 5. If you like drier wines that are made out of alternative fruits (kiwi, crab apple, blueberries, etc) this is the place for you. My boyfriend and I decided to have a glass of wine before leaving. He went with the Strawberry Rhubarb and I had a glass of Petite Blue. We enjoyed our wine and then paid for our tasting and got to take our glasses home. I definitely enjoyed the experience. I just wish they had a few more sweeter wines/meads/ciders. read more

This place is easily one of the best restaurants in Meredith, if not the Lakes Region. Centrally located with outdoor seating, their flatbreads and salads (however pricey) have never disappointed. It's been a long while since I've sampled their wine selection (jumped back on the wagon as a 2024 new year's resolution), but I do remember each glass being quite good (coming from a non-connoisseur...) My friends and I ordered a flight of wines and a cheese board (pictured) and both were super delicious and fulfilling. My husband and I visited here the last weekend in September. First off, I love that they have a built in surcharge to pay their workers $15.00 minimum. No fussing with tips and the workers don't have worry if they will earn enough tips. The food and wine was excellent and they source from local vendors which I always want to support. They bottle their wine on premises and offer a unique experience with wine tasting available. Their selections range from a blueberry to a very fine Lake Winneapaskee Rose'. Our dining experience was highlighted by our server Zach who was very attentive to our needs and offered suggestions that were right on target. You've heard of micro breweries...welcome to a micro winery. Amazing. When you walk in, it's a medium sized wine shop with plenty of stock, adorable as well as functional accessories (think cheese boards, stoppers, towelettes, glassware and lovely little gifts), a tasting counter, plus a little cafe area to purchase cheese/meats for a light bite with your wine. The entire winery operation is down in the basement -- a small basement, but the entire wine making process from fermentation to bottling & boxing takes place here. As a New Yorker I pride myself on the ability to utilize every square inch of a small space but these guys are champs! I was so impressed. And the place was just shining clean too. For tourists this is a must (if you like wine at all). Block out 90 minutes or so on the weekend to include the tour. Pro tip: if the weekend doesn't work for you, call ahead and more than likely they can accommodate you. The tour, which is quite fascinating, only takes about 40 minutes and if need be you can break up your tasting session into before and after tour. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating and you could tell they love what they do. Our tour guide/winery ops instructor was Kristhof (hope I'm spelling that right) and his passion for winemaking was infectious. We learned so much from him and even got a barrel tasting to compare with the finished product upstairs. And the wines...so many varieties, so delicious; so many that were not primarily based on grapes! Local fruits and honies are proudly used in the process. You will not want to leave without purchasing a few bottles (especially if you're a tourist) so don't forget that Yelp check in discount. It is only for wine purchases, not the tour -- but the tour/tasting is a fabulous deal at $20, with seven wines to taste plus a lovely tasting glass to take home. I forgot how amazing their wine is until we stopped by one day on our way back home. Wow just delicious wines and very professional and educated bartenders that explain everything. The woman pouring for us mentioned later she had only been working there for less than a month and I couldn't believe it. She sounded so knowledgeable like she had been there since they began. They definitely train their staff well! All of their wine is made from fruit, no grapes since they don't grow well in this region. A little pricey to buy a bottle but well worth it.
