Super cute and a great idea

They were amazing to me on Mother's Day as I was short cash and just had enough for a chai from a gift card. She was sweet about it, happy to be doing her job and just made my day more lovely. Double snaps for great customer service. They have two options for chai which is nice as I don't drink coffee. Thank you SBE!

Well this is pretty much an update review since I have written one prior on a page that I created for them a while back. A couple of the gals here have made their own page, so this is the real deal and ignore the one I made. Supreme Bean is a great locally owned coffee stand that I really enjoy coming to. The coffee they make here is fantastic and has great robust flavor. My personal favorite is the caramel espresso shake, simply delightful!!! In my opinion it blows away Starbucks frappaccino's. My wife comes here quite a bit and fell in live with the Irish cream iced latte. She says it's one of the best iced lattes she's ever had, due to the smooth rich tasting flavor of the Irish cream. The baristas here are extremely friendly, wonderful to talk to, always have a genuine smile on their face and know how to make some damn good coffee. I believe they use the Vitta Coffee Roasters for their supplier. Everything on their menu is cheap and under $5 and for the taste bud attacking flavor you get, it's well worth it. There is nothing better then supporting a small local coffee stand and seeing them have success. So whatever they are doing, they are doing it right.

Updated menu. You can see they added soy, almond, and hemp milk alternatives into the menu.

Pretty cool find if you are ever in the neighborhood!…read more Mountlake Terrace is not a place I frequently visit, but I did because of the convenience with the light rail - it's about a 9-minute walk from the light rail station. The interior has a warm and cozy vibe; I also dig the lighting. There's a good amount and variety of seating. They don't have outlets on the floor at the benches in the center, but there are a few outlets on the walls, so if you need to charge your devices I recommend sitting at the chairs next to the treasure chest (where I'm writing this review lol). Space seems very dog friendly, and there are 2 tables outside where the fur baby pawrents would typically sit with their fur babies. I also saw dog treats at the cashier that dog owners are free to take. I guess if you wanted to eat them you could, but I would judge you. For my drink, I got the Woodsman - opted for iced, large size, and whole milk. The drink was very chai spice-forward, which I loved. The staff member who took my order asked for my name, and later on when I went up to inquire the WiFi password, he addressed me by name - impressive. The owner (?), Heather, also thanked me for coming here after I picked up my drink. Needless to say, super friendly people. I didn't get a pastry or sandwich, but that's the goal for my next visit!

Given this I cannot accurately rate the Woodsman as I got it with almond milk and wasn't a fan. My husband is also in the same boat as me with regards to milk. In long This is part of my new regular tour of Edmonds coffee spots since I'm down here a time or two a week these days. Ladro has lots of fans and it's easy to see why, even if the smaller mom-and-pop places get higher rates around here. Ladro deserves credit for doing everything right. This is an older strip mall, probably built around the time that phrase was coined. Wide variety of businesses, wonky shapes and angles in the parking lot. Inside, there's the big coffee bar on one side, and tables and chairs over there. They have some merch for sale, including plenty of choices among their own house-roasted beans. Lots of blends, and even a few interesting-looking single-origin bags, too. Not any cheaper than the big premium roasters charge. I'd have to try some of the beans before I could say if that seems justified, but I bet it might be. You can order ahead, but not only did I choose to order manually, I went inside and looked the poor kids in the eye. They all seemed to enjoy each others' company, and their nice work environment translates into a nice ambiance for relaxing with a cup. I ordered chai lattes to go, and they were boiling hot and tasted like they were from a tea bag (not the sugar-bomb concentrate that some places use). I also had a brown butter scone that was great even at room temp. They didn't get overly chatty making the drinks, but they were definitely friendly, and everything was ready quickly. Nice kid clocking off for the day even held the door for me as we went out, given that my hands were full. Honestly, if you didn't know this was a chain (albeit a small, local one), you'd think this place existed simply to caffeinate locals in the neighborhood. Everything about it has that nice neighborly, next-door vibe. They don't have anything quirky about them, really, and that huge pastry case is definitely not filled by on-site bakeries at every location. But it all still FEELS like a friendly spot down the street from home. 2 coffees and a scone were about $20 before tip. Could be better, could be worse. I'd definitely come back.

I came by to check out this Bigfoot Java and try a drink for free using the customer appreciation promotion, but was not able to. On the app it said it would be good through today, 9/21 for a free drink. I was trying to ask about how to use it and the employee said "I really can't hear you. You have to wait". She came over and I asked how to use the free drink offer. She seemed annoyed to help, and said "what's your phone number or do you have a QR code in the app". I showed her the QR code and she said it didn't have the offer on it. She walked away. I showed her a screenshot of the offer saying it would be good through today. She came back to see it then walked away and said "I don't know if you like used it or whatever" and shrugged. I didn't really know what to do so I just said "ok then" and drove away. I had waited for 10 minutes in line and to not be offered any help and to have the employee insinuate I was lying to get another drink was wild. I did some reading and the drinks are super high in sugar anyways (50+ g, more than double the recommended daily amount for women), so maybe it was for the best. But the rude and dismissive service and the offer not being honored was disrespectful.

In long I'm in this neighborhood regularly these days, and this might be the best of the coffee spots I've tried so far. They're right at Five Corners, and they probably crank all morning. In recent days I've certainly stolen parking from them after they close, 'cause they share the parking with two of the best restaurants in Edmonds. They're much bigger than the garden sheds you see as coffee spots sometimes. Probably room for a TV and an easy chair in there for when it's slow. They have the usual lineup of coffees, some teas, and what might be a pretty good pastry list, though I wasn't eating today. The kid working today was super warm and friendly in a pleasantly relaxed way. My Americano was ready in no time. Cost a few pennies more for 2 shots than some place, but the coffee tasted a fair bit better. Pretty chocolatey for black coffee. She had me out the door and on in my way before ya know it. Fortunately, there was no traffic so it was a 20 min drive easily. However, a lot seemed to have changed from about a year ago? We got popcorn chicken which was $9 for a very tiny plate (like the medium size sampler food container you get at food tasting events) which is a joke of a portion, and the chicken was not even good quality - heavy on the batter. Compared to pictures a year ago, where the portions looked much much larger. They are so stingy on the amount of chicken, that I thought they were giving us a sample to try before they make a real batch lmaooooo. I tried the Kocochi milk tea with creme brulee, boba, jelly, etc. Sounds good on paper, inflation I get it, was expecting $7 but it was $8, plus tax, so it is actually not that competitive of a price anymore now that I think about it. I could get a very good quality boba drink for $7.50+tax elsewhere without all the fancy toppings, but with boba included. I was pretty disappointed with the quality. The boba is so overcooked that it is mushy, and the creme brulee was not thick enough that I have to use a spoon to even be able to get any of it out (instead of being able to drink it from the other side which is what it is supposed to be). I'd avoid this place unless this is a one off but I will need to be redeemed a better experience before recommending this place. There are better options in the area
